On a Sunday night when neither my husband nor I felt like cooking, we headed out to Zea’s for a casual dinner. Our restaurant choice was limited by the fact that I am in Phase Two of the Ideal Protein diet program. I checked the menu online and figured out that I could stay on the protocol by asking to eliminate a few of the salad toppings ( cheese, croutons, balsamic dressing), bringing a packet of my own salad dressing, and asking to have my chicken and sides prepared “Z-lightful”. My husband was able to order his favorite Thai ribs and enjoy everything and I was able to stay on protocol and enjoy our evening out. Our server was friendly and helpful. The only glitch that occurred was that our entrees and salad came out at the same time rather than salad first and then the entree. We ended up eating the entrees first, while they were hot and eating our salads afterward. Not a big deal. This order is normal in Italy but not customary in Baton Rouge. The restaurant was busy but the noise level was acceptable.
The food was awesome. Even out then year old son was raving about his meal. Husband says we will be going back there!
We honestly were expecting a decent meal and were instead blown away.
Lamb sirloin was the best...
Great healthy options if desired but plenty of indulgent options as well.
Quick and easy
The pasta that my husband order really look like it could’ve been from the lunch menu. The amount wasn’t worth the price. Other than that, everything was great.
I've been to Zea's a bunch of times. It's one of my favorite restaurants, but this one has disappointed me time and time again. Either they have run out the dishes I've ordered or the service is not up to par. I don't think I'm go back to this location.
Made an OpenTable reservation right before we left the house and it was ready when we arrived. Our server was good even though he seemed somewhat nervous/new. We had the rotisserie chicken and the beef sirloin. Both we quite good and I wouldn't be shy about having both again. I actually very much liked the serving sizes. They were just the right size. Too many places give you too much food and I thought Zea's were generous without being extravagant.
We had a very nice Valentines Dinner for two. The crawfish maque sho had to subbed for shrimp due to the availability of crawfish this season but it was MAGNIFICENT! Our waitress, Taylor, was well informed and very pleasant. She helped make our night special. We came during happy hour and got Patron margaritas and Jack and Coke 2 for 1. Can't beat that. He had the twice cooked duck, his favorite, and I had my catfish. Both were excellent. For dessert they had valentine's special - Strawberries with chocolate sauce and Ruffino's Processco. Delicious.
You was a bit noisy and the service was slow but that could be because it was Valentine's Day
They were closed when we arrived. Were unable to dine there.
We arrived at Zea's to find it was closed! Sign on the door said closed for Mardi Gras holiday.
Guess Open Table was not made aware of this.
Ratings were based on previous experiences at Zea's
Went on 1/20 for Restaurant Week & had reservations but still had to wait 15 min to be sat. Went to order & was told they were having problems with it so there was no set menu.
3 min after ordering 1/4 entrees was brought out-had to send it back. Waited over an hour for entrees & then only 3/4 entrees were brought. Sides were cold & then reheated in microwave. Absolutely horrific.
They were out of most of their main food choices. They let us order appetizers off of the EatBR Restaurant Week menu without telling us they were out of two out of three main course options and one out of three dessert options. Out waitress just did not know what was going on and was not very helpful.
As always, the food was flavorful and plentiful! Oh those corn grits!!!
Food was great, service was awful. We dined during Restaurant Week but restaurant was not busy.
The steak wasn’t what I expected. Overall, always pleased.
Great Service from our waitress. She was extremely patient with us!!!
The night my wife and I went to Zeas, service was good, food just okay. We’ve gone to Zeas before at this location and always had great food but this time food was not on the mark for the value and price.
I go to Zea frequently and I've never been disappointed. The food is delicious, the service friendly and efficient, and it's not too noisy! My personal trifecta! Wish I was there right now!
Excellent food, ambiance and service — as always!!!
Quiet booth, good service, very good food. Overall, nice experience.
We first enjoyed Zea at the Kenner location, then the Clearview. The quality has been consistent. Have chosen Zea for "girls' night out", special dates and a place for "just good food" after hard days when cooking at home was impossible. We anxiously waited for the Baton Rouge location to open and continue to enjoy dining there. Recently retired and Zea (Baton Rouge) is where my husband had my family retirement dinner in Jan 2017. Thanks for the good times, Zea.
Awesome service went for lunch food was good a fast.
Great food at a reasonable price. Really enjoyed the dinner.
Incredible meal. Lindsay H was an awesome server. Casablanca chicken and rotisserie chicken and sides were perfect.
Great food, but a bit noisy
Me and my husband decided to try Zea's while visiting family. It did not disappoint! Everything was great from the pineapple margarita to the trout! This is a must!!
Excellent food and value for the money. Good wine selection also.
Love it! Zeas is a favorite spot of mines on a Sunday afternoon brunch with friends over mimosas.
There were many choices on the menu. We eaten here many times,& it is consistently good. Today I tried to veal. It was suculent and delicious.
We frequently go to Zea's. Close to home. Food consistently good. Staff friendly & helpful.
Been a while since we went, it was one of the best places in BR to go. My wife despises bbq in general, but she found several things she liked when we went. When we try a new place we usually order 2-3 apps, and two entrees we can split, and we both loved everything.
While it is a little on the expensive side, you get a lot and it was all wonderful.
It is crowded and loud because it’s a great place, so not much they can do about that, be sure to book early cause this place fills up FAST!
My wife and I took her Dad to lunch and we all enjoyed the experience and the food. Service was very good as well.
Warm welcome with immediate seating and great waiter service to accommodate our requests. My first visit to this Zea's and I'll definitely return.
Lovely brunch, all the dishes were good, except the chocolate cinnamon rolls, they were dry and chalky. Good service, great drinks.
Mistakenly reserved a table for 2 but needed 10 & the staff quickly accommodated my party. Staff was ok. Drinks were ok. Food was amazing. I love Zeas !
Contrary to what is posted online, there is Not a gluten free menu. I was very disappointed in the food itself. And travelled a long way with many other options. The manager did come by and talk to us at length, but the meal was over by then.
