Was great to bring my mom when she was in town. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was mouth wateringly delicious. Will recommend!
Zazies Starter (e.g. Pâté de Volaill, Mussels Marinières ) are delicious. Do recommend.
Entrées is reasonably good.
We had a great first dinner here, served by a lovely waitress who could not have been more welcoming and fun and no-pressure-patient with our staying till close. We loved the comfortable, casual seating for fine French fare. We will definitely go back.
The staff is welcoming and the service is excellent. The food is consistently very good and I appreciate the no tip policy, giving all the staff a living wage. Best value and a great neighborhood hangout.
Great experience all around, as always. One of our favorite spots!
Another excellent dinner at our favorite neighborhood institution known as Zazie. From service that is truly par-excellence (I’d even say one of the best in the city), to cuisine that rivals the 'Michelin star’-studded spots, Zazie is one of the best values in town. Thanks again!
Great food. Great service.
As always, the food was fantastic, the service was impeccable and fun, and ambiance is warm and inviting, and it feels almost like we're back in France. If we're coming to San Francisco from San Jose, then for sure we'll also make a reservation at Zazie.
Wonderful Zazie....! always a great meal, enhanced by their great staff.
First time here in a couple years, and disappointed in the food. Such a nice neighborhood place, good atmosphere, and menu has classic bistro food. There were 5 of us. One person had hamburger which was fine but nothing special, and vegetarian was very happy with polenta main dish. But the coq au vin had almost no sauce (should not be served on pasta!) and wasn't very tasty, and the salmon was very disappointing, again just not flavorful; and the parsnip puree is definitely a mistake; doesn't pair well with the salmon, and was totally bland. The brussel sprouts with the salmon were good. We ordered charcuterie and cheese boards as appetizers; nothing special, and both the house paté and the salmon mash ("rilettes") were too bland, lacking flavor and character. Wine list is fine. Service friendly and nice. What has happened to the food in this place??
This has been our go-to for small family gatherings for 10 years! We are never disappointed!! Love Zazie!
Zazie is a true gem and it captures the real essence of the spirit of San Francisco. It is one of those very special neighborhood restaurants. Going there is like taking a trip and traveling abroad. The food is excellent and the service very friendly and good
My mom and I first discovered Zazie when I had just moved to San Francisco. We instantly loved it! The staff is kind, friendly, and inviting. The food is incredible--try the Baked Hot Chocolate dessert! We go to Zazie every time my mom comes to visit--we love it!
Am a very frequent Zazie patron, usually for brunch. Went Sunday night with a friend and her significant other, who had never been to Zazie. We all LOVED it.....everything was pure perfection. The Zazie servers are wonderful: friendly, knowledgeable and super smart.
From start to finish, one of the most enjoyable meals we’ve ever had. Every dish was memorable, from the first courses of chicken liver on toasted bread and a beet and avocado salad to main courses of beef bourguignon and a fish stew. And the baked hot chocolate dessert is a truly decadent way to end the meal. The service was excellent without being formal or fussy. We will definitely be coming back!
Love that this restaurant accounts for their staff benefits and pay in the menu pricing so is proud to be tip free!
We have had consistently good luck at Zazie. The staff are wonderful, as is the food and atmosphere.
Zazie was perfect for a romantic, affordable evening with great ambiance, food and excellent service.
Good food. Relaxed and casual. Friendly service. Great neighborhood restaurant .
Valentine’s menu was creative and delicious. A fun evening out
Went here for Valentines and it was superb!! 💕 wouldn’t have gone anywhere else!!
We had a lovely meal at Zazie’s. The Beef Bourguignon with polenta was absolutely delicious !! We can’t wait to return !
Delectable food, friendly service, can’t wait to go back!
Nice outdoor patio, delicious food, & great service!
Always enjoy going to Zazie. Great food, service, ambiance.
We had an exceptional dining experience. Best neighborhood restaurant!!!!!!!
Very attentive staff - especially welcoming
Best meal I've ever had. The mussels were ludicrously good. Service was excellent.
Made a reservation for a third date and we sat on the patio. We arrived around ten minutes early and were given champagne as we waited for our table to clear up. Was honestly blown away at how friendly and knowledgeable the staff was, the whole experience was spectacular.
Food was incredible, we did the prix fixe. The mussels were the highlight of the meal, but everything was recommendable.
Really great time at Zazie. The food was really good, substantial portions as well. The wine selection is quite good even though my husband opted for the house dark ale, which he loved. Attentive but not overbearing service. Great date night dinner!
The food and service is wonderful. I have always had a fabulous meal here. The Coq a vin I had a few days ago was the best I have ever had, with complex and warm cozy flavors. The new no tipping policy has really enhanced the service and warmth between server and customer. A great move.
We went this last Saturday for our anniversary. Our first date was at Zazie and so we thought it fitting to return a year later. They were able to give us the same table again and treated us to a complimentary glass of champagne when we sat down. Very nice!!
As always we had a wonderful dining experience on the cozy back patio. Waiter offered us a blanket which was nice. The coq au vin was perfectly cooked and we soaked up the gravy with the buttery biscuits. Dessert is my least favorite part of the menu - they are all too heavy for my taste. Would prefer a few lighter dessert options. But overall it's still a great neighborhood place.
Lovely neighborhood French restaurant. Food was delicious!
Yum. Yum yum
It was great!
Beyond amazing the service and the food was just incredible
We had a lovely evening, couldn’t ask for anything more!
The vegetarian option for the price fixed menu was unacceptable for a San Francisco restaurant.
