Zazie is a neighborhood French bistro in Cole Valley specializing in the country cooking of Southern France. The well heated, covered garden patio is a delightful place to enjoy a casual, relaxed meal with friends and family. Our menu is seasonal, featuring slow braised rabbit, cassoulet, grilled fresh fish, and a variety of vegetarian options. Zazie invites dog lovers to bring their pup to dinner on the heated, covered patio on Monday nights and take $10 off any bottle of wine on our list. Tuesday nights are no corkage nights; bring as many bottles as you can gracefully handle! We are famous for our American style brunch seven days/ week as well, although reservations are not accepted for brunch. Zazie is Tip Free! Our menu prices include a living wage, profit sharing, and full benefits for ALL our hard working staff.

Best meal I've ever had. The mussels were ludicrously good. Service was excellent.

Made a reservation for a third date and we sat on the patio. We arrived around ten minutes early and were given champagne as we waited for our table to clear up. Was honestly blown away at how friendly and knowledgeable the staff was, the whole experience was spectacular.

Food was incredible, we did the prix fixe. The mussels were the highlight of the meal, but everything was recommendable.

Really great time at Zazie. The food was really good, substantial portions as well. The wine selection is quite good even though my husband opted for the house dark ale, which he loved. Attentive but not overbearing service. Great date night dinner!

The food and service is wonderful. I have always had a fabulous meal here. The Coq a vin I had a few days ago was the best I have ever had, with complex and warm cozy flavors. The new no tipping policy has really enhanced the service and warmth between server and customer. A great move.

We went this last Saturday for our anniversary. Our first date was at Zazie and so we thought it fitting to return a year later. They were able to give us the same table again and treated us to a complimentary glass of champagne when we sat down. Very nice!!

As always we had a wonderful dining experience on the cozy back patio. Waiter offered us a blanket which was nice. The coq au vin was perfectly cooked and we soaked up the gravy with the buttery biscuits. Dessert is my least favorite part of the menu - they are all too heavy for my taste. Would prefer a few lighter dessert options. But overall it's still a great neighborhood place.

Great food with a nice pre fixe and friendly service. Sit in the back garden, if there’s space available. Try the hot chocolate dessert with melted marshmallows - it’s amazing

The reviews of Zazie are true and with good reason. The food served here has a true wow factor in every dish and it's worth trusting the staff with the information they give you.

One of the other reasons I truly respect Zazie is that they pay their staff a true wage, with all conditions and benefits. Net result, they have staff who are faithful to the business and it shows on the care with which each dish is prepared and served.

A truly stunning event.

I have eaten here many times over the years. While you see more of a line out the door for brunch, the dinner's are truly special. Delicious food, good portions, great service, and ambience.

We were so pleased to find this 25 year old restaurant. Our first time was a leisurely dinner on a Saturday evening. Never hurried by a thoughtful and welcoming staff. The Pork chop was amazing as was the duck. Starters we’re also first rate. We ordered the mussels and the chicken Pate and again, absolutely delicious. Their wine list included Farm Worker Chardonnay by Maldonado. Tasty on first opening and continued to improve while it lasted. Also worth mentioning is Zazie’s policy of NO TIPPING. Read their ‘about’ information for the full story. Whenever we’re in SFO Zazie is now a must visit.

It was just okay for dinner. Arugula and beet salad needed a bit more acid. Tomato & fennel soup was just okay. My partner enjoyed the mac and cheese and also the beet salad. I wouldn't go back for dinner but I would like to try brunch someday.

I love free corkage Tuesday’s, but don’t forget to leave an extra tip if you bring bottles! Zazie has a great menu for special occasions, as well as casual dinners where you’d like to keep it lighter. There are lots of items that easy to share with some friends. The backyard is gorgeous and heated well year round.
