As always a meal at Zaytinya quickly becomes a grand event, especially if one begins with a 3 PM in Istanbul. Our waiter, I believe he was from Puerto Rico and he was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided outstanding service. The food was excellent as ever although one misses the special prix-fixe lunch. My highest recommendation. Dine with confidence!
Great food and great service, as usual. Restaurant is highly recommended.
Great foos. Terrific service. Half price wine Wednesday’s is terrific.
Attractive, large patio. great for outdoor dining.
The food was fresh. All selections were delicious and seasoned to perfection. The Lebanon beer was light and refreshing for lunch.
Zaytinya never disappoints.
Food is amazing here! I highly recommend. Love that dishes are small yet shareable so you can try several things during one outing. I highly recommend the mushroom dish! Super yummy!
First time dining here since pandemic onset. Food was, as always, delicious. The current menu has less options than pre covid but we were more than satisfied. Especially enjoyed the mushrooms and cauliflower which were new to us. The Turkish molten cake was amazing. Lovely outdoor dining space with light decorated trees. Highly recommend.
The Brussels sprouts were amazing with the lemon flavored sauce a nice touch. Chicken and rice delicious. Would definitely go back.
Front desk manager was kind of rude. I specifically requested outdoors and he just said they don’t have a big enough table for 6. Id figure they’d want sit bigger groups outside during a pandemic.
Also they could’ve called ahead to let me know that. His tone was rude.
Sat outside, service was good and each dish tasty, the Maia & Minthe cocktails were also very tasty on a warm evening
Excellent, every time we are in DC we make sure to make reservations in advance and dine at Zaytinya. Great food, always.
Limited food. Food was cold. Service terrible. Its my favorite restaurant in DC and last two times its lacked
Wonderful outdoor dining experience. Tapas style food with unique flavors that were not overpowering. Everything was delicious. Great for sharing.
Best Mediterranean restaurant I’ve been to in dc/Baltimore area. Portions are small. Meant more for sharing small plates. But the food is superb. The ambiance is excellent. Just overall wonderful restaurant and I’m glad we found it because I will be returning
The food was amazing. Especially the Brussel sprouts.
Everything was delicious! Absolutely can’t wait to go back!
It's my go-to place when I'm in the city. The service was impeccable and we've never had a bad experience. My wife is a fanatic of the mushroom dish and I'm a big fan of the Brussel sprouts. Divine.
Amazing food in a lovely setting. Great service.
Experience was very good. Food was amazing. The only issue was the plates had a strange smell of a fish tank water. Did mention it to the server and later the manager came to apologize. But the experience was really good
Fantastic dinner - being it was our first time there our server was helpful with describing various dishes and making recommendations - food was delicious and we loved it!
I took my 91 year old grandfather for an early dinner and he had a lovely time and enjoyed the food and cocktails. He is a little needy at times but the staff was very patient and got us everything we needed very fast. I am a former ThinkFood Group employee and they did not disappoint, as I expected.
While Zaytinya's website states the restaurant requires "...all staff and guests over 12 years of age who are dining indoors to be fully vaccinated" when I attempted to show the hostess my vaccine card she said she didn't need to see it. When I stated it was required a few weeks ago, she conferred with another hostess who reiterated that they no longer require it. This is extremely disappointing - with the new variants and rising cases, it was nice to have a safe/healthy place to gather with my friends to dine/drink. I'm sad Zaytina changed its policy. Other than that, the staff was personable, as always. The initial pita was cold but the next basket was fresh, and the food did not disappoint. Hopefully Zaytina will reinstitute its proof of vax requirement so that we can return again soon. Until then we'll have to dine elsewhere.
Great food, great cocktails, great quality of ingredients. 2 people, 5 dishes, 2 cocktails and the bill was under $75 in Washington D.C. from a renowned chef's restaurant!!!!
Really noticeable decline in quality of food and unfortunately limited selection with many old favorites gone. And what’s there was just not that good.
Drinks took way too long to be served as did the small plates. Then two more plates cam after we were just about finished.
Every course was a long wait.
Food is good. Hard to hear conversations.
Aesthetics was beautiful as well as the food! Definitely visit again.
Our group was 4 with patio seating—ambience was lovely, buzzing vibe though tables were a little close only 3-4 ft apart. Service was attentive & pleasant. Zaatar margarita was delicious, Turkish Storm ok but watered down weak and 3pm in Istanbul cocktail was funky weird.
Whole fish branzini and seared halloumi were superb (highly recommend both). Soujouk pide & imam bayaldi (eggplant) were good but small portion. Chicken Youvetsi and Garides Me Anitho (shrimp) were disappointing & very forgettable. Overall a good experience.
Everything was fabulous. Sese (sp?, so sorry) was wonderful at making our friend's 40th amazing and also helping us stick to our time frame
Great food, attentive wait staff (without being overbearing) and great service! Lovely atmosphere outside. Wait staff was very competent in describing food options and making great recommendations based on our food preferences. Highly recommend!
So many people recommended this restaurant that we were excited to try it AND it did live up to all expectations! The restaurant itself is lovely - modern, exquisite art and decor, good lighting, sets an exciting tone. The food is equally exciting- lots of options for shared plates, colors and tastes innovative and delicious, service was great and the vibe was lively. Great choice!
Wonderful food, quick services, friendly staff......
An enjoyable outdoor dining experience! I return for the delicious food again and again.
Tried four different dishes plus desert and each one was unique in flavor, presentation and composition. Our server was second to none. Super attentive to every detail.
Great food, but it took a bit of time for the server to come to us. The atmosphere is lovely and I think some plates are a bit better value than others, but overall, a great DC staple that's retained it's quality.
Amazing restaurant and food! One of the best Mediterranean meals that we’ve had. Our server was friendly and outstanding as well.
I didn’t like my table at all. Way out on the end practically on the sidewalk and the table was wobbly a lot…
Food was (as always) very good, and the service was good!
Service was EXTREMELY slow, but the food more than makes up for it!!!
this was our second time here. everything was good and food was delicious. we will go back again.
Pleasant experience and we loved it. Will dine again in future for sure.
