Food was amazing! The restaurant was larger than expect and very nice inside.
Small issues: The service seemed a little green, & the cava was a tad flat. Great food & service- I know it’s DC, but you don’t need to buy into the need for speed. Don’t rush away with diners’ food. Otherwise, please carry on the great work.
Even on a drizzly winter night, their heaters kept us warm and our servers kept bread coming throughout the meal. Zaytinya is a favorite for a reason!
Amazing food. So many options that are great for trying new things and sharing.
The variety of choices is over the top. Loved all the selections
Zaytinya was terrific in all respects, as always! The smoky baba ganough and crispy brussel sprouts were particular standouts. The greek yogurt dessert with apricot was a pleasant surprise of flavors.
One of the best restaurant week deals out there!
It was very nice. As a matter of fact I will be returning for dinner again Saturday.
I went for restaurant week and was very pleased with the lunch menu. We split the hommus and baba ganoush to begin with and enjoyed each and thought the fresh pita made it a great way to start the meal. For the second course we selected the moroccan chicken and brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts stole the show and are an absolute must-try! Next, we shared the meatballs and chicken shish skewers both were delicious but we both think the chicken was a just a bit better. To finish we both enjoyed the olive oil cake! The portions were the perfect size to share
First time there and we loved it. Small plates but good quantity and quality is excellent.
The small plates make it a dining sharing experience.
The food here is reliably tasty. We did a restaurant week special and could not finish it all! Some options were delicious, others were solid but pleased us less. That’ll happen with any fixed menu, of course. Overall - happy we went!
We had the restaurant week lunch and we had to ask for our check 3x, but otherwise it was all very good.
Visited for restaurant week and I will definitely be returning.
Food was served in a hurry all the course came out at once
Very rushed feeling
Loved the ambiance, very sultry and cultural. Food was delicious.
Made a reservation for my anniversary based on a recommendation from a friend and couldn’t be happier. Everything from the service, cocktails, food, and experience was amazing. We chose the “restaurant week” menu which was 4 plates plus desert and $40 each. We were blown away by the quality and size of each course in the best way. We will definitely be returning and I cannot recommend Zaytinya enough!
Loved the tebulah and bronzino!
I have never, ever had a bad meal at Zaytinya. The rosé fixed price selection was terrific.
Wonderful updates to their menu. The staff here is so attentive from filled water glasses to checking in as the mezze progresses so you can order more of a favorite or something extra. The advice to order 2-4 dishes to share is accurate as your table mates will eat beyond their fair share - everything is so good. You can get sauces on the side so those with allergies can still enjoy and plenty of vegan-friendly entrees too. The bread is so warm it steams as you pull it apart, but just have one because you can spoil your dinner. Sorbet for dessert is a refreshing end to a great time.
Our food and service was excellent! I have been here many times, however, it was my fiancé’s first time. He really enjoyed himself. The Zataar Margarita and falafel were my favorite items!
Ambience is exceptional with modern decor and open space that offers spacious seating. Food options for all dietary restrictions.
First time at restaurant. Went on recommendation from friend. Food, staff ambiance all great. Will go back.
Great time as always
Great food. Lovely restaurant always great pita haha
Zaytina is one of the best restaurants, period. The food is delicious, and the service is hands down the absolute best in the industry. The waiters and waitstaff are excellent, fast, prompt, and friendly. The food and custom cocktails are levels above perfection. Highly recommend it for all occasions.
Zaytinya is always a phenomenal restaurant! The dishes are small but each one is delicious and thoughtfully curated.
Spacious, airy place to dine. The spicing of the lamb and brussel sprouts seemed a little off from previous times I have eaten there. Can we blame this on a supply chain problem? Service was very good.
Delicious and attractively presented Mediterranean cuisine. Love that Persepolis (sp?) cocktail. The Mediterranean in a glass ! :)
It’s a lively place. Food is delicious. The Chef’s tasting menu had so much food. Service is a bit awkward but that’s the norm these days. Had a weekday lunch
Amazing food and great service.
Taboulleh is so fresh and delicious.
Pita is steaming hot and fresh.
Every dish is made with fresh ingredients and each have layers of flavor.
Dinner was very good, the food was excellent and our server was knowledgable and very nice.
Good to see Zarytinya continues with high quality small plates. Falafels hummus eggplant zucchini fritters and cauliflower. All well prepared and nicely served. Very pleasant evening
Delicious food, but very loud inside.
Zaytinya continues to impress with great service and fantastic small plates. The roZAY brunch for two was a particularly great deal and experience; my friend and I got to enjoy a rosé flight along with a wide spread of zaytinya’s finest brunch offerings, including spreads, meat and veggie offerings, and dessert! We also appreciate Zaytinya’s attentive service throughout the meal. Will definitely be going back sooner than later!
Likely one of the best value for money restaurants in DC. Offers a variety of mediterranean food which comes in mezze style plates and can be shared. Menu is deep and diversified, you can fine something for anybody. Wine list is good and reasonably priced.
Amazing tasting menu
This was, as noted when the reservation was made online, a wedding anniversary celebration.
Our server was outstanding - in trying circumstances.
We had a Saturday evening, 7 PM, reservation and we were greeted and seated a few moments early. We were escorted to a table for 2 that was 15 feet from the constantly opening door - new arrivals, delivery pick-ups, outdoor dining servers.
My lovely bride was place on a main server and customer path, and my seat was backed by an ( appreciated, but ... ) air sanitizer.
It was cold.
Our outstanding server brought the Jose Cuvee and acknowledged our anniversary.
My wife ordered the Santorini Octopus along with Cauliflower. She was pleased and the dishes were excellent.
I ordered the Sea Bass along with Mushrooms. The mushroom dish was great.
The fish ( I understand a busy kitchen, but ... ) was - in my opinion - plated much earlier on a swoosh of mashed potatoes that - in some waiting or re-heating process - gained a slight crust. The fish was dry.
Again - our server was superb. Our seating ( yes, we understand the strains the pandemic has brought to the industry ) was horrendous.
Energetic is great. We expected it. Loud and cold was not expected.
We support the commitment of the Andres organization(s) to help people in need.
We will continue to do so - but not next to a door and server-path on an anniversary.
