Great service and delicious food. I love Zaytinya’s ambience. I keep going back.
Very attentive at the beginning but fell way off at the end. Food was delicious. Temperature dropped and wind whipped up unexpectedly but they can’t do anything about that of course
Enjoyable drinks and small plates. A nice variety!
The server was accommodating. The pitas were warm and soft. The Peydirli Pide flatbread was good but a bit salty. The best are the falafel and the Baba Ghannouge hummus. I just wish that all the food we ordered were served all at once.
Great food great customer service! Our server Miripilini was fantastic! It was a fun dining experience!! Food was delicious!!
We didn't get the proper attention from our server. I had to call him three times for help/attention. We still will be back again.
Fabulous food. Wonderful experience.
Great food selections for my vegan, carnivore and pescatarian family members.
Friendly and very accommodating staff
Amazing that they accomplish delivering so many small plates with such a large restaurant
Great drinks menu help any perceived wait time
Great option, comfortable outdoor seating. Had the grilled octopus (Octopus Santorini), crispy sprouts, which were AMAZING and a glass of wine. Ate solo as I was on business and it was a happening place on a Monday evening.
Really special menu of small plates with a Mediterranean vibe. The fresh/hot pita bread with olive oil and pomegranate molasses was awesome - and they kept bringing more as we ate it. The crispy Brussel sprouts were wonderful, as was the spanokopita and meatballs. I will return to try many more dishes on their unique menu! Delicious cocktails as well.
Birthday celebration! Food was delicious and service was great
Wonderful server, food and atmosphere. A favorite staple in DC.
The restaurant took over 45 minutes to seat our reservation of 8. Staff was only responsive to seat us when questioned. Service was extremely slow and spotty.
This was not a great experience for my birthday.
Excellent food and service as always. One of my favorite spots in the city.
The restaurant is very loud and is very hard to have a conversation. People are coming in and out every minute very busy and large restaurant. If you like energetic and busy then you are fine. The food was good very small plates not cheap for small dishes. I had salmon and tabolleh and the rest of the table had the chefs special menu for $65 each. It was a lot of food but they don’t give fish or seafood just fried mussels. It was mostly vegetarian and the last round had steak and some sort of lamb. It’s a good food not amazing and very loud setting. We aimed for our table 20 minutes over our reservation time. They were indifferent asked if we wanted the table or not.
we had to wait 25 minutes to get seated, even though we had a reservation! and then the lamb adana kababs tasted very bad. not a pleasing experience.
Our experience started out a little rocky because they were not able to seat us when we arrived at our reservation time. We had to wait about 15 minutes after the reservation time to be seated. But, from then on we were very impressed. The restaurant was very busy and very full of people but the service was still gracious and prompt. We had a serious mishap when a large glass of red wine was overturned by one of the diners at our table. The staff could not have been nicer about it. They immediately cleaned the spill up, helped to clean the soiled clothes and promptly and graciously replaced the glass of wine. They were so nice and it was then easily forgotten. The food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back soon.
Fantastic. Did the chef experience option
They had great food and great service. I was very happy with the experience!
The food is always fabulous, with lots of variety so we can never get in a rut..... Consequently, there are favorite dishes that have to wait a few visits because other new dishes appear.
It does get pretty noisy, but there are slightly quieter sections. It is, quite rightfully, packed from 5:30 onwards..... even though this last visit the Capital One arena had nothing going on.
We ordered the Brussel sprouts Afelia, sautéed shrimp Anitho, chicken shish Taouk, toasted eggplant, and a lamb sausage. ALL were beautifully prepared and presented. The delicious bread, which was constantly replenished without our asking for it, was perfect for dipping in the sauces.
We look forward to many return visits.
The food was okay and pricy. Not too many options for chicken
Very good food, beyond horrific service. 30 minutes and multiple inquiries before our drinks were brought to the table. Then another 20 minutes before the first mezze plates appeared with no bread basket. We stared at the hummus and other mezze plates and asked 4 different people for bread, all of whom had a terrible attitude about it. This set the pace and tone for the meal, which included good food that was completely overshadowed by the incompetent and uninterested staff. Had to ask for our bill three times and it included two mistakes as well. Such a shame, will not return.
Excellent service with special attention to our 2 year old. Did not make us feel like a burden at all even when he decided to stand up in his high chair and twirl food around.
Excellent. Eclectic menu. Choices for the vegetarian and the meat eater. Great service. Many dishes and the pricing was good. Definitely a must go.
The food never disappoints. Great quality and amazing unique flavors.
Always phenomenal, one of my favorite go tos in DC.
Still one of my DC, and Jose Andres, favorites!!!! Been coming for years and the bread is still outstanding, the small plates delightful and the cocktails interesting. Had the Turkish Delight dessert for the first time and it was a-May-zing!!! This place never disappoints!
The food was incredible- especially the chocolate with rose ice cream dessert
We have probably eaten here 30x. The food is always delicious. When the weather cooperates, it is a lovely place to sit outside. This time, for the first time ever, the service was extremely slow--the waitress took 25-30 minutes to take our orders, and then the food didn't come for ever so long, and we really wanted refills on our water. This is unusual, so I assume that it was an off night. The spanikopita was especially delicious, but we liked all the food (kibbeh, eggplant, cheese, and a chicken dish), and the fresh pita was plentiful and delicious. We were afraid to order dessert.
Great place to eat, food is excellent , great service
One if my favorite places in DC
Always a pleasure to eat here. Gracious service and excellent food. A bit loud for conversation.
Friendly service. Great ambiance and appropriate noise level to be able to converse at a large table, not too loud. We were getting together for a treat before a Caps game and it was wonderful!
Amazing food, good customer service. I had the business meeting here and everyone loved the experience. Quite loud so we all had to speak up but the experience overall made up for it. I would definitely come back to dine here again in the future.
Delicious food! offset by the extremely noisy surroundings.
I've liked this place since they opened almost twenty years ago. The menu only has a couple items anybody can pronounce, much less recognize as familiar. That's a compliment. The food is seriously good, the staff are all total professionals, even the management is outstanding.
Had the most wonderful meal here with my mom and aunt on Tuesday! As three Lebanese gals we were so pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of each dish -- something we don't always find in Mediterranean spots in the city. Everything was so tasty and beautifully presented and our server was so knowledgeable and attentive. We particularly loved the baba ghanouj, falafel, halloumi, and shish taouk. Already dreaming of our next visit!
Service and food great. Beautiful space. Definitely order with the idea you are sharing multiple small plates. Desert however is shareable but one plate is enough for 2 to 4
The food was delicious! Our server was also very attentive and great at explaining everything to us, as it was our first time. The noise level was a little high and the bench seat was a tad low compared to table height, but otherwise we had an excellent experience.
I booked dinner while I was in town for a conference and it was as good as expected from last time...this is one of my favorite restaurants in DC! The hummus and haloumi are to DIE for!!! 🙌🏻
