The service was very slow. The food was brought out excruciatingly slow. We ordered several small plates to come out and there were times where we had nothing on the table.

Hard to tell about ambiance when we were seated at a low priority two-top with a good view of the kitchen plate warmers and no view of the main dining room. Elegantly dressed in cocktail attire and a suit, I was shocked to be seated in the back of the bus. Clearly the hostess staff either weren’t paying attention or they were just plain dumb. Or maybe we would have been better off in jeans and a hoodie.

I liked everything about the place. We went for lunch so the crowd was much lighter and could have enhanced my experience. But overall it was a good place, slightly on a higher end of price spectrum. Will go again for sure.

We went on Valentine's day, which is extremely busy and we don't recommend if you live in town and have other options (unless you want the special menu). We sat at the bar since it let us start earlier than our reservation, and we're glad we did. We felt welcome. Despite us having a corner seat, our water glasses and bread basket were always full. Excellent service overall.

The food itself was wonderful. The hommus and eggplant were perfect - nothing on the dish felt superfluous. The halloumi was really tasty, but blood oranges are in season and would over power the cheese when we weren't careful. Everything else about that dish was worthwhile, though. Three dishes was plenty for two people.

We finished the meal with tea and their "Turkish Delight" plate of walnut ice cream, candied pine nuts, a caramel sheet, and honey gelee (the texture is between gelatin and a gummy) over yogurt and drizzled honey. We didn't know which tea we would like, so our bartendwaiter brought us the most popular, and it was a good complement to the dessert. The dessert itself was possibly our favorite. The yogurt was the most surprising part, and the dish wouldn't have been nearly as good without the tangy notes.

The ingredients in the dishes that we had were quite exotic, hard to find, and typically more expensive; so the value was decent, even if the portions were smaller.

We wish we could visit again! If you visit Dallas, check this place out.

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have been to. Staff was great and the food was amazing. The prices are very resonable. The dishes are supposed to be shared, but depending on the dish and the size of the party, you may want to ask how many servings each dish is. If there are more than two individuals in the party, some dishes may not be enough. Other than that, this place is great and I definitely recommend it.

First time here. The waitstaff was very helpful in picking our meal and also telling us what each dish was, once served. We got the Brussel sprouts (delicious), Greek fries (excellent), and kebab platter, which featured two kinds of lamb, chicken, and beef/lamb meatballs. All were excellent. This was enough for two people.

The best part was our server Veronica. She helped us navigate the extensive food menu and select the perfect cocktails for the evening. We decided to take the Chef's selection multi-course adventure and it started with the best Hummus with spice lamb and homemade Pita...the Cauliflower and Brussel Sprouts were AWESOME..MUST try these if you go. The lamb was delicious as was the Spinach Spanakopita. Finished with Rose Ice Cream...amazing flavors! Our ONLY real complaint was the reception area...very rude welcoming as we arrived a little early and were told to leave and come back...very unexpected treatment from a $$ restaurant.

Server never came to the table and blatantly ignored us. Even when asking for him to order more he took his time. There were not more than 4 tables at the time. Have come here so many times and had a great experience. This last visit will definitely impact my decision on coming here again.

Great option for dinner with friends. Food is shared, so be prepared for that! The wine list is loaded with wines from Greece, plus Lebanon and other areas. Had a cab sauvignon from Greece that was good for $55.

Terrific meal at Zaytina on Saturday- our first time there. The mezze plates are imaginative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We had two "spreads" and six mezze plates (three vegetable and three meat) between three of us, and that was plenty of food. The wine list is eastern Mediterranean and the Syrah we had was excellent. Service was suitably professional - nicely attentive but not obsequious - and the restaurant itself was a welcoming, lively space - modern mediterranean.
Will definitely return - really enjoyed it.

Seated promptly, service was good and friendly. Wine list completely unfamiliar from Greece , Turkey and Lebanon exclusively without any descriptions or characterizations of the wines.
Unless you are familiar with Greek and Lebanese food ,the menu will prove to be difficult. Our waiter seemed as if he did not care for several of the dishes on the menu himself. Portions are very small and expensive. Expected a lot more from the Jose Andres brand. Will not be back.

My sister and I took our mother here for her birthday dinner celebration. This was mine and my sisters second time here. As with the first time service and quality of food did not disappoint! The ambience is great and generally speaking it is fairly quiet; we had a couple there with their child and the baby started crying, but, other than that it was fairly quiet.

Excellent food and excellent service today by Veronica! Love the Fattoush salad and the Maroulosalata salad! Please don’t change the Maroulosalata salad one bit! I love the simplicity and fresh flavor exactly the way it is. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower are to die for! Also really enjoy that all the cooks are professionally dressed and focused on the food. Thank you for a wonderful eating experience!

Love this place! We make the 25 minute drive from Highland Village to enjoy. Excellent selection of small plates. I love the selection of fantastic Mediterranean wines (especially white wine) at reasonable prices that you will not find anywhere else. Service was speedy and servers knowledgeable. This place is on our rotation.

A fine experience! Interesting drinks prepared by a first class bartender, delicious small plates, pleasant room, fine service. The Turkish and Lebanese items on the menu are welcome revelations of cuisines seldom seen in this area. We like what we know of Jose Andres, and we were not disappointed.

This place is a great find and I highly recommend it. If you are the type of person that likes tapas (Spanish style small plates), you will love the mezzes (the mediterranean version of tapas) that is on offer here. Zaytinya also has "own plate" options, but the thrill of this place is trying any one of the amazing tastes that they have to offer. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts (they can do no wrong), the hummus, H'tipiti (roasted red peppers, feta, thyme), Shish Taouk (chicken) and any of the lamb dishes. Outstanding place at Frisco Star, and only the second location in the United States!

Food was cold and unevenly spiced. The service was slow and the place wasn’t busy. I have had a great experience in this restaurant in September, but after this experience: (1) life is too short for these failures; (2) there are too many great restaurants with even and dependable service with quality food in the same area and price point.
