We are an upscale casual Italian eatery boasting Neapolitan flatbreads, Mediterranean salad styles, delicious Italian pasta dishes, and a crisp refreshing raw bar.
Our beverage program offers all local beers on draft, a variety of wine options from California to Italy, and a hand crafted cocktail menu straight from our sister locations, bringing a little taste of our Philadelphia flare to Kansas City.
We have partnered with local venders in the KC and surrounding areas to bring you farm fresh produce, rich roasted coffee, and even a little KC fashion with Local T KC designing our uniforms (also available for purchase at the restaurant) . Because supporting local businesses is important to us.
Come visit us in the Ameristar Casino. Have a drink, try some delicious food, we look forward to your company.
We were going to be about 10 mins late due to traffic so I called to inform the restaurant. I was transferred from the main Ameristar phone number and the Zavino representative said no problem. When we got there the whole restaurant was closed. No one was there. We asked other people at the other restaurants in Ameristar and they said it was just closed.
We should have been informed but no one called us or even the woman on the phone should have told us
Luckily Great Plains Steakhouse was able to get us in
This was a real disappointment
pizza, bread, ricotta, meatballs, red sauce all awesome
the rest, salads, entrees, service (albeit very friendly, but very slow kitchen) were not great and unless I was hungry for very good ricotta and tasty bread, I will not come back.
burgers on an Italian menu...really??
Worst dinner and service I can ever remember having. Ordered a Manhattan and they came back after quite a while and said they didn’t have the ingredients to make it. After ordering one of their specialty cocktails, my husband got his wine and then I waited another 20 minutes before getting my cocktail. Waitress came to us at the beginning and all she said was “you ready?” Never saw her again. Salad and one entry came at same time casear and spaghetti. Both were terrible. Never got other entree. Had to call manager. Staff just didn’t care. Don’t eat there!
The dinner was not very good, the salad we ordered came out with the main course, and the cheesecake (or window sealer) was completely inedible. We will never go back.
I was a bit disappointed. We ordered the beet salad and what came was a kale salad with a few beets and nuts. The main course was the scallops with risotto and it was delicious and what I expected. For desert we ordered tiramisu. I was something I would get at a buffet not a fine dining place. The music was loud and not appropriate and the lighting too bright for intimate conversation. I had high hopes for this place but it is just another corporate casino eating place that promises fine dining but does not deliver.
The server Kylie was rude and hateful, literally stated “whatever ok” to our guests. Chicken Parmesan was $17, consisted of a frozen processed patty, fried and covered in marinara. Pizzas were burned and inedible. This was a birthday dinner and the dinner/service was awful. We do not recommend this restaurant unless people enjoy paying 3 star prices for -1 quality food. We have posted to Zavino’s website, social media and to a Ameristar casino.
Worst service ever. Poor attitudes from the staff from moment one, forgetfulness, food came to each person one by one not together, took each question one by one to kitchen without really listening to what was being asked, served other patrons while passing us up waiting... I could go on, but on top of it became I’ll from foo later too. Glad I won’t be returning.
Wow, what a very nice place. Food, service and ambiance was so incredibly perfect. My date and her sisters enjoyed every minute. Our server was the best.
Dined here Saturday night before the show at the Casino. Atmosphere was great. The music was modern and the Diningroom was busy. Our server was polite and had some great suggestions. We tried the fettuccini special and a few of their "small plates" Great wine list and great prices. The manager stopped over to see how we liked our meal. We will definitely be back next show night.
We was in on a Friday night. We had a reservation for 7pm. We was sat at 7, but it took 20ish min for our waitress to come take our order at same time she took our drink order. 3 out of 4 of our plates came out and we waited 5 min 4th plate never came.... asked some worker if they could check since our waitress disappeared over and over they went to check but never came back. Finally our waitress showed up after we was all about done and come to find out she never entered the 4th meal. He finally got his food. We all ate and asked for our check and said it was two on each check. She brings check back all drinks on one ticket. Man it was a HORRIBLE experience. The food however but the waitress was SOOOO BAD!!!! I would give it another try but not with that waitress!!
The food came out relatively quickly. It was delicious. Our server was cordial and helpful.
Service was slow, never got my meal. Server was clueless when I placed my order, casino is Pepsi and they are Coca Cola. No bread, music is too loud.
I had Spaghetti and Meatballs, it was ok but I think the meatballs were from frozen not fresh or homemade, the sauce was good. My wife had worst lasagna we have ever had. She ate one bite and spit it out. I took a bite thinking she was overreacting, it tasted bad, real bad. We told the waiter and he was very sorry. No bread was served with the meal although when I asked for some he offered flatbread. I declined and we paid our bill and ran. After we paid I told the waiter to find another job fast because this place is in trouble. Too bad
It isn't even open.... Yet Open Table allowed me to make reservations.
