Dining at Zasu was magnificent! I was pleased with every aspect of my meal from the start to the finish. The service was impeccable, as well as, each dish. You can see, taste, and experience the amount of dedication and passion presented by Zasu!
Birthday dinner for my husband. This was our third time to Zasu since April and it has been exceptional every time!
Food was excellent!! There were 4 of us and we all loved everything we tried. Service was fine, but waiter messed up our order. Another waiter said he would fix it, but then they never did. We said it was fine and they were apologetic so not really holding it against them, and otherwise service was great. The noise level was somewhat problematic. It is a bit pricey but very good.
Food was excellent! Service from Louis was great! Second time to dine here. Will definitely be back!
Delicious food, great ambiance, and excellent service. Will definitely return.
Awesome, fresh food. Definitely a nice place to get a celebratory meal.
Veal short rib appetizer is divine. Great sear and complex flavors. A beautiful dish!
Fabulous food, outstanding service, elegant setting... everything one would want in a fine dining experience.
Best and most fresh meal in Nola! Sue and her team are sauce bosses!
This will be my fifth time dining at Zasu. Working my way thru the menu and every dish has been phenomenal. Staff is extraordinary and even remember a specific table placement. If possible , I would dine every night at Zasu.
Beautifully renovated old shotgun house with excellent fine dining! The service was friendly and helpful. Our drinks were fairly priced. The food was really fresh and cooked perfectly. Each dish was a unique and outstanding. Such a treat.
From start to finish, Chef Sue Zemanick’s new dining room hits all the right notes. The service is hospitable and knowledgeable, as is the well-appointed atmosphere. The food is well presented and even better tasting. For appetizers, we enjoyed the agnolotti and the Korean-chili glazed veal short ribs...both were an outstanding start to meal. The wild mushroom-potato-onion perogies were incredible, as was the evening’s featured triple tail with okra. A salted caramel chocolate pot du creme was the perfect finish. The wine list, while small, is well chosen and fairly priced. Congratulations to Sue and the rest of her team on such a great addition to the New Orleans dining scene.
You can close your eyes and randomly pick anything on the menu and it will be delicious! Staff is very attentive, drinks are good, great atmosphere. Love this place
The flavors were outstanding. Each dish delighted us and we are looking forward to returning to taste other items from the menu.
Once again Zasu impressed. The service is exceptional. We had the oysters as an appetizer and then we both had the fish specials. Flounder and scallops. Freaking delicious. Of course the passion fruit creme brûlée to end. Go. Eat. Be happy.
An upscale treat that felt like a tropical or even more far off culinary escape... certainly a winner for a special occasion. Very creative dishes with some exotic pairings. As with all such restaurants, the portions leave you a bit wanting for more.
Exceptional food, very creative combination of flavors. Interesting wine list, very good options old world and new. Excellence service. Absolutely wonderful experience!
We were sadly disappointed at our first dinner at Zasu. Our appetizers were good, but not exceptional and my entree really let me down. Although the steak had great flavor it was very chewy with lots of sinew. Not what I would expect from a high caliber restaurant and chef. Dessert was good, but again not blowing my socks off.
Speciality cocktails were on point though!
Unfortunate, since it is hard to find a great restaurant experience this side of town. There are so many great choices in New Orleans now. It was our first and last time going to Zasu.
A great little hidden gem in Mid-City. A little noisy but I see that they are trying to do something about that by putting sound dampening panels on the ceiling.
My only complaint, and I am sure many will find this petty, the cocktails are barely enough for 3 sips. For $11 or $12, please poor a decent drink. It just does not make sense to skimp on alcohol. I clearly understand that this is a money maker, but please, give folks a real drink. Same with the wine, but the price on a glass of wine was very reasonable.
Everything was amazing from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. We were a party of 6 so we tried almost everything on the menu and nothing was disappointing. We plan to return soon!
Food was amazing! Service was wonderful.
Outstanding food and service. I highly recommend it.
Everything was perfection, food, service, winw and drinks. Enjoyed the evening immensely. Look forward to a return soon!!
the food was great. The bartender was even better, fun to watch, and made cocktail presentations wonderful to enjoy . Parking might be an issue.
The food and cocktails were exceptional and the service was flawless. Parking can be a problem but we got lucky with a space very near the restaurant.
Exquisite use of local vegetables and seafood. Each dish had a delicious unexpected twist.
Each time I go its the new best meal I ever had. Cocktails are the best list ive ever seen!
Zasu has gotten even better since our first visit shortly after opening. The service, bar, and kitchen are firing on all cylinders. Amid all the great selections at our table, the top standouts were the Oaxacan Old Fashioned and the Saltine Crusted Grouper. The cobia special was also excellent. This is a great spot for those who love seafood and veggies.
My wife and I went to Zasu as a belated honeymoon celebration. The dining area was on the louder side giving the smaller size of the restaurant, but we expect that in New Orleans. The carpaccio appetizer, snapper with curry eggplant, and passion fruit creme brulee were our favorite dishes and would make a perfect meal. Zasu has taught us what it means to have various levels of flavors come out during a single bit of food. We would highly recommend getting there while you can still get a short-notice reservation.
Fabulous! Every course was delicious. The octopus was the best I ever had.
The food was so delicious! I had the Grouper. I keep thinking about it! I want more!
Can’t wait to go back!
food was good. My fish had to be redone due to lack of seasoning. The service was not up to par. the noise level was unbearable.
Really incredible food experience, a must do new restaurant in New Orleans. Can’t wait to go back.
This was our third visit to Zasu, and each time has been a great experience. The servers are knowledgeable and attentive; the menu is diverse and totally satisfying, and the place is nice and intimate. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who cares about good food and nice people.
Outstanding. Delicate flavors. Well prepared.
Will go again
Four of us dined and each had different dishes. Everyone fully enjoyed everything. The food was flavorful, fresh-tasting, and different without being weird. The service was good.
superb appetizers; very good seafood entrees. I would like to see the wine list grow and expand. As this is a relatively new restaurant, I expect that will occur in the future. My second visit in 2 months and the food has been consistently good.
