Superb food. Cannot wait to share our experience with our friends.
Have been there a few times, and never disappoints! So delicious!
Everything was excellent but for the noise level it was as perfect as a dining experience as we have spent in New Orleans.
Wonderful dining experience. All the dishes were well prepared, specials were very creative & delicious. Service (John) was professional and attentive. Enjoyed it all!
Outstanding service, a fabulous dining experience with a lovely atmosphere! We will certainly be returning! Thank you Zasu for a wonderful evening.
Zasu is a terrific restaurant serving food that is tasty and complex while being simple and "clean." Our first courses were both daily specials. The watermelon gazpacho was a perfect blend of tomato sweetened and enhanced with the watermelon. The lump crab appetizer was beautifully done and tasty. Both seafood entrees were combination of well prepared fish in a perfect broth and each had it's own, distinctive flavor. My only problem with the meal was deciding if I wanted to get, once again, the Wild Mushroom and Potato Perogies or try something different. My wife would have liked her martini a bit colder with shards of ice floating in it. This will be our "special event" dining place.
Waiter and staff very engaging and knew menu selections including specials. Bar service was superb, especially for NOLA standards. Will definitely be back. I suggested this venue for a party of 4 and my friends continue to give me raves for my selection.
Very creative cuisine !!!
Great food, drinks and service. There is always a great choice of fish entrees.
Was greeted at the door with a sneer by the hostess. Not an auspicious start to our evening at Zasu. Our waiter, a polished Kiwi, was gracious , personable, and efficient. Really good at his job. Food was good, but quite pricey. Apps were $16.00 at the top end, and didn't dip that much for lesser dishes. Octopus was $16.00 for an average portion. Wife had halibut for her entree. Nicely done, but again I expected more from a smallish portion costing north of $30.00. I had scallops; a special. The mixed vegetable side was more impressive than the protein. Three scallops for $33.00 and two had sand! Quite the crunch! Called the waiter over, and was told he would inform the chef. Last I heard about the issue. Felt totally ignored. The wine was a bit overpriced with a serviceable, nothing more, Sauvignon Blanc for $50.00. Total bill was $180.00 for two apps, two entrees, and a very average bottle of wine. Still looking for a meal better than the one I paid $90.00 per person at Zasu.
Great food, great service. Another NOLA gem. Great for date night.
Amazing food experience! Chef Sue is a genius food artist. I love every dish , presentation, fresh bread. The service is prompt and professional. The wine list pairs well. The building is renovated perfectly. It is modern, yet warm and comfortable. This was my 2nd time there and I cannot wait to go back.
Second time there and it didn’t disappoint. Great, knowledgeable service and excellent food. Like the cocktail menu as well.
Incredible food and service. Not one bad bite - can’t wait to go back !
Fantastic cocktails to begin the evening. Delicious apps. Wonderful wine recommendation with our fish and chicken choices for dinner. Desserts were fabulous with our port. Chocolate cake was our favorite!
Excellent - yummy and creative. A great addition to the New Orleans food scene.
Terrific dinner. Waitstaff was spectacular. Portions were perfect. Flavors rich and fresh. We will be coming back!
Fabulous evening! Mollie greeted us in perfect NOLA fashion, amazing bartending & delicious entrees!
Chef Sue turns out beautiful plates and delicious, impeccable food. Based on recommendations, we had the Octopus appetizer. It was fabulous and I would highly recommend it. She offers several different fish dishes and we tried them all, with each one having unique flavors but all of the included ingredients played off each fish wonderfully. Desserts were yummy too. We especially enjoyed the coffee semifredo. The only negative was the noise level but we had a large party seated next to us so that might not always be an issue.
Haven’t figured out service yet. My fault for going in too soon. Needs a few more months to smooth out.
Beautiful oysters but granita overpowered.
Amazing dining experience
Fabulous meal! So glad Chef Zemanick is back in action! You will not be disappointed!
Incredible food. Best in New Orleans
Dining at Zasu was magnificent! I was pleased with every aspect of my meal from the start to the finish. The service was impeccable, as well as, each dish. You can see, taste, and experience the amount of dedication and passion presented by Zasu!
Birthday dinner for my husband. This was our third time to Zasu since April and it has been exceptional every time!
Food was excellent!! There were 4 of us and we all loved everything we tried. Service was fine, but waiter messed up our order. Another waiter said he would fix it, but then they never did. We said it was fine and they were apologetic so not really holding it against them, and otherwise service was great. The noise level was somewhat problematic. It is a bit pricey but very good.
Food was excellent! Service from Louis was great! Second time to dine here. Will definitely be back!
Delicious food, great ambiance, and excellent service. Will definitely return.
Awesome, fresh food. Definitely a nice place to get a celebratory meal.
Veal short rib appetizer is divine. Great sear and complex flavors. A beautiful dish!
Fabulous food, outstanding service, elegant setting... everything one would want in a fine dining experience.
Best and most fresh meal in Nola! Sue and her team are sauce bosses!
This will be my fifth time dining at Zasu. Working my way thru the menu and every dish has been phenomenal. Staff is extraordinary and even remember a specific table placement. If possible , I would dine every night at Zasu.
Beautifully renovated old shotgun house with excellent fine dining! The service was friendly and helpful. Our drinks were fairly priced. The food was really fresh and cooked perfectly. Each dish was a unique and outstanding. Such a treat.
From start to finish, Chef Sue Zemanick’s new dining room hits all the right notes. The service is hospitable and knowledgeable, as is the well-appointed atmosphere. The food is well presented and even better tasting. For appetizers, we enjoyed the agnolotti and the Korean-chili glazed veal short ribs...both were an outstanding start to meal. The wild mushroom-potato-onion perogies were incredible, as was the evening’s featured triple tail with okra. A salted caramel chocolate pot du creme was the perfect finish. The wine list, while small, is well chosen and fairly priced. Congratulations to Sue and the rest of her team on such a great addition to the New Orleans dining scene.
You can close your eyes and randomly pick anything on the menu and it will be delicious! Staff is very attentive, drinks are good, great atmosphere. Love this place
The flavors were outstanding. Each dish delighted us and we are looking forward to returning to taste other items from the menu.
Once again Zasu impressed. The service is exceptional. We had the oysters as an appetizer and then we both had the fish specials. Flounder and scallops. Freaking delicious. Of course the passion fruit creme brûlée to end. Go. Eat. Be happy.
An upscale treat that felt like a tropical or even more far off culinary escape... certainly a winner for a special occasion. Very creative dishes with some exotic pairings. As with all such restaurants, the portions leave you a bit wanting for more.
