My wife and I had a fantastic time. Food was great, service was fantastic and we were treated like royalty.
Steak was overcooked
French fries good
Vegetables were not that good, barely cooked
Fine dining and good food quality. Overall a very nice steakhouse
Excellent food and Service! Would definitely go back again also recommend it to friends!
Food was decent. Service was slow. Three different people waited on us and at times we felt like an afterthought.
Great spot for a delicious steak
Our experience was amazing!! Antonio our server was so great and engaging!! Nico the GM was fabulous. Our food was so good and cooked to perfection. Our pre dinner drinks were some of the best I have ever had. Definitely will be going back!!
The gentleman that seated us was amazing! He took time to explain the menu and even put in a drink order for us after recommending a couple of things for us. He was extremely knowledgable and courteous. Steaks were good but not amazing considering the price.
For once, a steak house that is reasonably priced and really good!
Great food and service. A bit loud.
Worst service I’ve experienced in my entire life. Steak was terrible quality as well. Avoid this place.
We made a reservation for New Year's Eve and arrived early to have a drink in the bar. Got a table in the bar, great! Decided to eat dinner there. Very busy and lively atmosphere. Our server was the downfall. Very slow and just seemed completely uninterested in being there. The food was AMAZING though and the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. We shared the French dip sandwich and a tenderloin steak dinner. YUM!
We went there for New Year eve, and although it was good, I'm not sure it was quite $200+ good. Service was good, but a little loud which we will chalk up to New Year's.
Food was pretty good, steak was a bit undercooked from the temperature ordered, service was extremely slow.
The food was FANTASTIC!!! The server although very friendly seemed a bit frazzled. Once he passed our table the fourth time he realized he had forgotten to put in our drink order. The meal itself took an hour and 20 minutes to arrive on the table. That said... It was New Year's Eve & a table for 5 @ 8pm... I'm assuming we were just behind the rush. Will definitely go back as everyone raved about everything once it was on the table!!!
Have eaten at many places in seattle. This is my favorite by far. The food was excellently prepared. Service was beyond great. Would recommend to anyone I know.
We arrived early for our reservation and waited in bar to enjoy a cocktail before the rest of the party arrived. It went downhill from there. Service was slow, inconsistent, and forgetful. Food was mediocre and uninspired at best. One of the salads was missing the main ingredients, blue cheese. When the check was delivered the wait person explained the 20% added gratuity was distributed to all staff and any additional would be appreciated...really! The food, ambiance, noise, and neglect of duties was not worthy of a mandatory 20%. I will not recommend nor return to this establishment. The best part of the evening was the company of good friends.
Over priced mediocre steak house with bad acoustics. Nice servers but not the most attentive. If the prices came down to earth ratings would be higher but as it is it’s not worth the money. Won’t be returning.
I've had lunch here several times and been very happy. This experience was less satisfying because of a couple of things: 1) I made a reservation for myself and a friend--when I arrived the host wanted to seat me and did not ask if I had a reservation--I said I had a reservation so he looked it up, then sat me. As it turns out, he had sat my friend already in a different part of the restaurant and we finally "found" each other; 2) we were somewhat "forgotten"--my friend's coffee got cold, he had to ask for a refill twice and when it finally came, the server poured the hot coffee into the cold coffee left in the cup instead of serving a fresh hot cup; and 3) I ordered my burger with cheese, it took some time to get to us and it was served without cheese (I didn't mention it as it was getting late)--the bill indicated the cheese and they corrected that.
Kitchen is a bit slow but the service and food are amazing
Celebrating a co-worker making partner.
Decided to visit Z+W for my first time for my mother's 60th birthday. I'm a big fan of the Davis' other restaurants and was excited to try their newest edition. It did not disappoint!! Our server was personable and a ton of fun. A few of the older participants in our group found him a bit chatty but I always love hearing the back story of restaurants and meals, so I loved it. Our group ordered a wide variety of dishes (steak, lamb, pork chop, and shrimp scampi) and each one was delicious! At one point, the group two tables down became extremely obnoxious and again, I think some of our group would have preferred if the wait staff asked them to quite down. For me, the food and service outweighed any other minor issue. Recommended!!
Slow, bad experience!
Quality steak , lamb chops were amazing. Had apple tart and chocolate breathless and I'd say chocolate desert didnt impress us at all, but warm apple tart was delicious
Best steakhouse in Seattle with prices that are reasonable compared to the other downtown steakhouses.
Fun, bustling atmosphere with great service and generous portions.
First let me start by saying the service for our party of 11 in the private room was phenomenal! Our server was at our beck and call and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. The majority of our party had steak or the pork chop. One steak was ordered rare and it arrived medium well. It was immediately taken away and the server returned with a new steak in 4 minutes which was near medium rare. The pork chop was over cooked also but had good flavor. The shrimp scampi pasta was delicious with about 6 jumbo prawns in top of fresh fettuccine in a light sauce. The rest of our party enjoyed the fish or a steak which was prepared properly. All in all the night was great but for a steakhouse, they should know how to cook beef and pork.
2nd visit we were excited and brought 4 friends for their 1st time. We were seated in the back booth that time forgot we would. Soon come to learn.
Drinks were good as was the appetizers from there down hill. Wait person seemed to just stop service.
Two in my party had to go the bar in order to get a second drink.
Steaks we over done and cool, two out five entrees had to be sent back they were so over cooked. One returned as over cooked more the 2nd time than 1st. They removed it from the tab.
Such a disappointment very nice place and feel this evening was lost because of uncaring wait person.
No one inquired from us about our experience .
We won’t give it another chance expensive evening.
Good steakhouse. Best part is you get a full meal - salad, loaded potato and veggies. Definitely has a lively feeling.
The steak was wonderful. We were there for an anniversary dinner. The accompanying sautéed vegetables were broccoli, cauliflower, and squash. I didn’t want any gas producing vegetables especially on my anniversary. I was offered Brussels sprouts or a second baked potato which I also declined. I requested squash only and was told that would not be a problem. I received my meal with no vegetables. Several minutes later the waitress stops by the table and casually tells me they could not do squash only. My partner did get the vegetables that were offered. They were charred and not sautéed. They were too firm for him to eat. A tweak to the accompanying vegetables issue and to the service and it would have been a memorable evening.
The service was
This was our second time here in about a month. The food is really good - interesting preparations and sides. Excellent service. We're putting this one on our monthly rotation.....
Really good food and service. The Razor Clam Stew was amazing.
Positive: great food, nice location, steak cooked exactly to requested level, nice ambiance, and great staff.
Constructive criticism: price is a little high, customer service could be slightly improved (took a long time to get the check, charged us for an item that we didn’t want), charges for basics like bread (this was the item to be removed from our check), a little loud (having to talk over the background noise), and automatically charges 20% tip for any size party (I think this is to offset the high minimum wage in Seattle).
Great food,service and ambiance!
My “medium rare” steak was well done on the outer part and blue on the inside.
Service was superb!!!!! Food was very good. Love the people working there.
Super loud restaurant. Hard to hear over a 2 top table. Went for Restaurant Week to try this restaurant. Service was extremely slow and our 3 course dinner for 2 people took almost 2 hours. Food was good, but pacing of meal was horrible. They automatically add 20% gratuity to the bill--definitely did not deserve that based on our experience.
I was thrown off by the use of "steak house" in the name. The lunch menu had little to do with steak, and in my group we ordered fish and pasta - no beef at all. I was expecting more traditional steak house type fare from the name of the restaurant. Instead, it was more what I would call a broad "American" menu. As I mentioned, fish and pasta, also: sandwiches, burgers, salads. The halibut was delicious; the side of Brussels sprouts could have used a bit more cook time, or better trimming of the hard base. Still yummy, though.
Service was very good - the servers gave us time, but seemed attentive to our needs.
A fine lunch.
This turned out to be a 'fabulous' place for my husband to celebrate his birthday! We were delighted with the superb food, excellent service and attention paid to us by the management! Wonderful experience!!!
