A different Indian dining experience - not your average Indian restaurant. Food was delicious! Enjoyed trying all the different starters.
No other Indian restaurant like it my friend came to visit me and he said it was the best curry he had ever eaten
This is my second visit to Zama and the food and service was as excellent as the first, can not fault.
Freezing cold restaurant, bright lights, no music, food very average
Amazing food, service, cocktails and nice music to. My husband and I went to celebrate his birthday and it was amazing!
Food Very average and wine list did not represent value for money but service was good and the staff were very attentive.
A little pricey considering Iāve had better for half the price. This is in regards to the food cost not the wine.
New waiting staff but very friendly and helpful service. Lamb shank and chicken tikka both excellent.
Overall a poor experience.
It started well with a mix grill tandoori starter. The mains courses, King Prawn dish (over cook or twice cooked) Dal Makhani (lack flavour and color) and not like any I have eaten before (been trying to find a good Dhal Makhani in UK after living in Delhi for a number of years. The Spicy lamb dish had so much salt we couldnāt eat it. Bread basket was old and didnāt contain the Laccha Paratha. We left most the food as just poor quality. I paid in full and also tipped but the food was a massive disappointment
Excellent service, great food with a good choice of dishes. Highly recommended this restaurant
Super food and very well organised in current circumstances.
Amazing food, lovely service, polite staff and a welcoming environment!!
Excellent Tandoori Halloumi, vegetarian thalis and a lovely bottle of Rose served with panache. If you like Indian food this is the place for you. Modern, focused and a delight
Gorgeous modern Indian food and lovely restaurant.
Best curry Iāve had, could not fault. Great service and great food .
Fantastic food, great service and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend
Amazing meal, everything was delicious and the staff were lovely
We had a great catchup with friends, the attentive service and smiley waiting staff made our evening even more special. The food was so tasty and we all left full and satisfied. The Blueberry Mocktail was delicious too ššššš
Another fabulous evening at Zama where they are managing to continue to provide the same fabulous food and service within a Covid-19 compliant protocol.
It really is the best Indian food in Brighton and Hove - and if you cannot get there then they also deliver. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I had eaten at this restaurant just 10 days before and was really impressed. So much so I told friends and a couple of real 'foodie friends' decided to try it with me last Monday.
What a let down.!
Most of the food was luke warm but the most disappointing dish was the Tandoori King Prawns. My friend was unable to eat them, they were stone cold and rubbery.
What an embarrassment!
I will no longer be recommending this restaurant.
Not much atmosphere. Unfortunately they had water leak from upstairs.
Starters were ok and different. But could have been hotter.
Mains both lamb one medium one hot(spices) well to be honest not a lot of difference between them. Cheese nan not very cheesy.
I was expecting street food a bit like India summer or curry leaf. But sadly run of the mill curry house and a bit below par ā¹ļø
Great restaurant. Food was outstanding and staff very friendly. Will be back for sure.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, although the service was a little disjointed.
The starters were excellent, but I was disappointed with my main course, my lamb kebab arrived cold, but this was replaced straight away and the waitress was very apologetic. The second kebab had a lot more chilli so I couldn't tolerate eating much of it, even coated in riata.
I ordered masala fries, expecting them to be thin, but they were basically chunky chips which, if I'd have known, I wouldn't have ordered. I also asked if I could have a garlic and cheese naan, but only got garlic.
My two companions weren't over enamoured with their starters but enjoyed the mains of curry.
The dƩcor is nice, but the acoustics of the restaurant makes everyones chitter chatter incredibly loud and it spoiled the atmosphere for us.
Overall a great place if you like your food chilli hot and don't mind it being noisy. I would recommend Zama to someone with these provisos.
Fantastic restaurant highly recommended. Excellent produce & exceptional flavours
What flavours and choice! Loved the food and was happy to see a good amount of veggie and a few vegan options. Staff were very friendly. We had a nice surprise at the end with £20 off our bill, as they had extended the Eat our to help our scheme in their restaurant. Will definitely be back.
A lovely new experience, I will be back with friends and family. Thanks
Lovely food (our 3rd visit in a month) in as decent atmosphere possible nowadays. Never disappoints.
Amazing fresh non greasy food š
Highly recommended
Amazing atmosphere, delicious food and staff were very friendly, would definitely dine there again šš½
Tasty food, good ambiance, friendly staff, nice drinks
There's no where else in Brighton or Hove that we would recommend more. Zama's food is always outstanding, worth the money and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Amazing food and wonderful service. Canāt wait to return again soon!
Itās a very nice restaurant, the food is amazing, definitely recommend, however it is a bit expensive without the eat out to help out
Food as always was excellent, however this time around the service was much better than the last time I visited. Friendly, helpful and polite - ambiance felt more robust, professional and effortless. Would now recommend to friends. I do think itās time to take that passive aggressive sign above the door down - thatās not professional at all. Still, the best Punjabi food in the area!
Always tasty food here with friendly service. Curries tend towards the hot end which is fine by me. Tried their Peshwari naan this time and will certainly order again. My favourite is the chicken Zama but itās all good. My favourite place for an Indian experience.
Easy to book. Food good & plentiful. Too many tables to be distanced. Sat near store cupboard which was really distracting & left open ( for ventilation?), but at least less tables at the back. Drinks came in stages, had to ask for poppadoms as they took so long. Waiting staff lovely, decs good. Quite pricey despite 50% reduction.
Lovely food as always. Excellent service. Very slightly overpriced but always enjoy eating there regardless
It was so lovely, we had never been there before so didnāt really know what to order. The popadoms were so little and therefore we got so many they were so nice and cute! I got the spicy chicken curry and dad got a prawn curry. With a side of pea rice and garlic naan. All so lovely but we sat there admiring the people next to us with a mixed grill! We have already booked for next week! Highly recommend!!!
Great night,
An air of everyone working hard to creat a great, safe experience. Friendly helpful staff. Only marked the food down a star because there were quite a few things unavailable due to their popularity during the ā eat out to help out offerā. All the food we did have was fab,( grill got 2 was great).
