Wonderful meal, highly recommend. Mexican fine dining.
Small menu with great choices - fish, lamb, quail, and more.
First-timers visit, but clearly a highlight evening. The service was excellent throughout…attentive, but never intrusive. The starter sip of white wine was a thoughtful surprise before we’d ordered anything only to be followed by beautiful sampler taste of a squash purée. The appetizer Ceviche was large, a bit dry, but a wonderful flavor as was the Pear salad. The Vegetarian was chosen as an entree with total satisfaction. The taco entree was shared by two and totally satisfied both. The beef short ribs should have been shared as the portion was extremely large and melted in our guest’s mouth. This was accompanied with a wonderfully smooth portion of mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables…the veggies were the only disappointment as they were under prepared, hard and all tasted alike. Otherwise, a very special dining opportunity…but a bit pricey in our experience. We came early, but the tables were fully occupied by 6pm…reservations would seem to be required at least on weekends. Finally, don’t be distracted by the storefront or the dark neighborhood…it is a great adventure to be there…and we loved the warmth of the staff!!! Thank you…we’ll return!!!
Get the corn flan - one of the best things that I’ve ever tasted. A charming hidden treasure is now my favorite dining spots in Santa Fe.
Our appetizers and main entrées were phenomenal. The plating was exquisite. We will definitely return for our next special occasion.
This is an incredible place to eat and spend time. Every morsel has been well thought out and exquisitely executed. God damn! Party in my mouth.
Great experience overall. Bone marrow appetizer was unique and tasty. Short ribs were fantastic as was the quail
Excellent service and unexpectedly superior food! Would recommend to anyone who loves Santa Fe and would like a foodie experience.
Chef Rodriquez is amazing!
One entree very good and the other average. Given the price point, we expected very good across the board. Service was very good but not sure I would go back.
Excellent meal. We were seated on the covered patio outside, it was very comfortable. My husband had the Red Snapper and I had the duck. Both were delicious.
Delicious and inventive dishes for our City. Must tries: Squash Blossoms, Grilled Pulpo, Cochinita Pibil
We were charged for two glasses of wine we did not order. I didn’t notice this until the next day when I reviewed the bill. I called right away, it took them over 30 minutes to figure out how to credit us back since we split the bill they need to credit Both of us. But we actually paid tax and tip on that so it should’ve been $16+ credited back. They didn’t understand this. So they just credit us $12 each. Not a good experience.
Just a beautiful dinner. Will be back soon - so anxious to try other items on menu.
Zacatlan is a very special restaurant. It's a hidden gem on a side street in the capitol area. The food was unique and of the highest quality. I recommend the stuffed quail or the duck.
The brunch menu is a must. It is worth every penny - and it is not expensive. The food was plentiful and delicious. We sat outside and they have heaters on the patio. We are going back to have the fish tacos. Our friends raved over them and there are 4 tacos brimming with fish. Definitely a meal you can split. Their flan was fantastic as well. The Santa Fe Reporter said this is hands down the best brunch in town. I agree!
Great staff, plus original and substantial food that makes you happy you came!
Wine list very pricy for the basics. But food is outstanding. I’ll have beer next time.
Amazing, amazing food. Chef Eduardo personally delivered our huevos rancheros - with homemade corn tortillas, fresh guacamole, topped with a delicious red sauce.
At an an earlier dinner highlighted by an order of pulpos Chef Eduardo also came to our table - a charming and thoughtful gesture rarely encountered.
Service was perfect, all staff friendly & professional. Surf n turf eggs Bennie was good but ham “sandwich meat” was disappointing. Will definitely go back & try something else. Loved the small quaint dinning room.
Zacatlan is a favorite especially for Sunday brunch.
I wish parents would leave their toddlers at home or at least be confined to a room dedicated for children.
Brunch was excellent; dishes were flavorful and well-presented. Service was prompt. Restaurant has a comfortable vibe.
Excellent service, setting, and, most importantly food. Outstanding value!
food was sooo good; staff was very friendly and helpful; a must dinner/restaurant if you are in sante fe; foodies will understand lol...
Large portions, good service , a little salty, great brunch, nice atmosphere
Outstanding food quality and presentation. Service a bit slow and outside/patio tables in early Nov. got cold until heater was started. Great value for the overall product.
A cute place with a creative vibe tucked into a small corner near the Railyard. Service was outstanding and the food creative and fresh. Would definitely go back.
Excellent restaurant. Their customer service level was outstanding and a perfect paring with the dinner. So glad we enjoyed this restaurant on our first night in Santa Fe!
Food good, service was great but exceptionally bright lighting ruined the meal — bright overhead lights need to be dimmed immediately.
Went for brunch. Reasonable prices for Santa Fe and Interesting tastes and takes on traditional fare.
Charming restaurant with creative menu and friendly staff. Chef presented us with a tasty lobster bisque to start off our meal. The stuffed quail was delicious.
We’ve been 3 times in 2 months and can’t get past the starters! They’re so good! Every entree that has been delivered to nearby tables looks amazing. Perhaps one day we’ll move on from the fabulous ceviche, pulpo, burrata, squash blossoms, and bone marrow. But golly those are delicious enough to keep us coming back. And last time we went the amuse bouche was a wonderfully silky lobster bisque.
Service is super attentive without being intrusive. We love this place.
We we t for our anniversary and they gave us the churros on the house. One of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Food was incredible, we didn’t have a bad dish.
Great and friendly service. The food was fine. The ambience is bad. Not what I expect when I spend $42 on an entree.
Very nice setting with great service.
Zacatlan is a 5 star restaurant, and possibly emerging as the best in Santa Fe. We enjoyed the lamb shank and pork entrees, both prepared uniquely with delicious southwestern flavors. The ceviche appetizer was wonderful. The service was outstanding. We loved it.
The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful!
Great, unique flavors. Innovative menu. Beautiful presentation. Enjoyed by all!
Outstanding menu, great food, friendly staff, impressive wine list, everything that defines a "must eat here" restaurant when in Santa Fe.
Horrible table for two in a corner, despite a reservation. Uninspired cuisine, accompanied by bland salad stack with a tasteless sauce on the side. Vegetarian stack with unseasoned eggplant included mealy tomato slices despite being prime tomato season. The tough fish in the tacos accompanied by 2 tablespoons of unripe mango and a weird catsup-mayo sauce, was topped with 3 thin slices of red cabbage, and was a tasteless bore. For some reason this restaurant is overrated, don’t bother.
Awesome food and service,! Big portions and beautifully presented.
