The name Zacatlán surged from the origins of our chef, Eduardo Rodriguez. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico (north-central Mexico), which is defined as "the habitants of the land where grass grows". Zacatlán is the nahuatl translation for "land with an abundance of grass", and that is where our idea of Zacatlán Restaurant began.

Zacatlán Restaurant desires to continue to preserve the traditions for our upcoming generations, while bringing forth new flavors. These new flavors incorporate Southwestern and Mexican influences. We are established near the Santa fe Plaza, right off of Guadalupe Street. We want to unveil a new fusion of food for everyone in Santa Fe and those who visit.

    wonderful and thoughtful food. It's probably my own fault but I missed the info that it's wine and beer only and really had my heart set on a margarita. I settled on a wine but they were out of that particular wine. Ahhhh well. The food was the star anyway.

    An absolutely outstanding restaurant. It was our favorite meal not only in Santa Fe (and we ate at some wonderful spots) but anywhere! My husband and I shared the squash blossom special app and the pear salad to start and then shared the yellowtail ceviche and the cochinita for our mains. It was all flavorful, delicious and beautifully presented. We loved it so much we booked a reservation for the next night so we could try more item on the menu! Highly, highly recommend.

    This is a local's favorite restaurant. We have always had a wonderful experience here. We've only been here for breakfast in the past, but we are going back for my birthday dinner this week!

    Outstanding and imaginative food. Should get a Michelin Star. Interesting mix of southwestern, south american and international food. The exterior belies the lovely interior. Everything was cooked perfectly with stylish presentation. We are adding it tour short list of must go to restaurants in Santa Fe. Only issue was that when the restaurant is full it was very noisy

    I was at Zacatlan for a business dinner. The dinner was delicious. I had the brazino and it was great, another person had the lamb shank barbacoa and I had a taste of it and it was also great.

    Excellent food. The best duck confit I have ever had. Mole is fantastic as were the tortillas. Braised short rib and shrimp also terrific. Will definitely be back for more great meals!

    The food and presentation was fantastic, however, our server was a little slow and never offered the specials. They start the evening with a complimentary glass of Prosecco, which is a nice touch. We would dine there again! It should be of note to future diners that there is not a full bar/cocktails available…but a wine and bar list.

    This was our first visit, but it definitely will not be our last. My cochinita pibil was beyond excellent. The squash blossom appetizer was wonderful. A truly great addition to the local restaurant scene!

    Absolutely delicious! Best breakfast in Santa Fe. I ordered the sopecitos and my husband ordered the chilaquiles with salsa verde and both were outstanding. I especially loved the pickled onions, they were perfect. We sat outside in the front patio on which was fun since passersby often said hello and chatted. Highly recommend.

    Excellent and innovative food. Wonderful squash blossoms to start, chile relleno and duck confit to follow. Delicious bread pudding for dessert. Nice wines too. Very good service as well. Look forward to returning.

    We were greeted and ushered to a table, even though we were early for our reservation. The meal and service exceeded our expectations. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was exceptional. We plan to eat there for dinner tomorrow night before we leave for Taos.

    We ordered 3 different appetizers, 4 different entrees and 1 dessert to share. All 4 of us agreed the food was outstanding. It was delicious, creative and surprising. The service was excellent and we never felt rushed or, maybe worse, like we had to wait for our order. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. We all will go back. Thank you chef and staff!

    All around amazing meal. The lamb slid off the bone and the vegetarian relleno was perfection. Can't wait to return to Santa Fe and have another meal! Incredible cuisine with a homey feel. New favorite!

    Good inventive dishes. The pear salad was a bit ordinary ( not as pictured) but desserts were great as was ceviche. Kitchen/server lost our order and too kover an hour to get our meal While those around us who came later were served our exact same dishes.

    We love Zacatlan. Are there three times in 10 days. Great food. Caring staff. Family owned and operated. Not your typical Mexican food menu: creative and appealing tastes and preparation, cannot recommend too highly.

    Very creative Mexican cuisine. Really delicious! we had the gambas (shrimp), chile relleno and tostada with guacamole, watermelon and tuna tartar. The robin's egg dessert is outstanding, with incredible texture, taste and visual presentation.

    I love this restaurant. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. I had never had brunch there and it met our every expectation. I think my favorite feature of the meal was when we asked if they had jam, and were told that they did not. Less than five minutes later the chef had made some impromptu jam with fresh berries. That's service!

    Service was very poor. It took 1 hour to revive food. Food was good but not great. Server forgot wine ordered by one person in our party and not attentive at all. Parking was very difficult. Wont be going back.
