The name Zacatlán surged from the origins of our chef, Eduardo Rodriguez. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico (north-central Mexico), which is defined as "the habitants of the land where grass grows". Zacatlán is the nahuatl translation for "land with an abundance of grass", and that is where our idea of Zacatlán Restaurant began.

Zacatlán Restaurant desires to continue to preserve the traditions for our upcoming generations, while bringing forth new flavors. These new flavors incorporate Southwestern and Mexican influences. We are established near the Santa fe Plaza, right off of Guadalupe Street. We want to unveil a new fusion of food for everyone in Santa Fe and those who visit.

Some of the nicest and most helpful staffs I've ever had. The food is a terrific new fusion of Mexican and Southwestern--and yes, to those outside a foodie bubble, that really is true. Scallops sweet and nicely offset with base, and the deconstructed tamale had 4 separate tastes to complement the shank. Tables nicely spaced outdoors with color accents.

We were blown away by our meals! We shared the organic mixed salad, which had a fresh vinaigrette that we loved. A surprise intermezzo of stuffed zucchini blossom with veal and mushrooms. Our entrée of diver scallops with an amazing sweet corn and crab risotto was to die for. We highly recommend this restaurant, it was a great find!!

You can tell they are trying hard-the food was delicious and the presentation great as well.
I had the scallops that were seared on the outside and tender in the center and the kale was a nice balance to it's richness.

The steak tacos were tender and the accompanying salsa was savory.

The ambiance needs a little work but hopefully that will come with time.

The fried squash blossoms, ceviche, spareribs, scallops, and flan were all exceptional. We have been eating with Chef Eduardo for years & wish him well in this new venture.

We had an amazing dinner at Zacatlan. The flor de calabaza was an incredible starter and one I highly recommend. The braised short ribs and scallops were both excellent as well. I look forward to coming back for brunch and future dinners to try more from the menu!
