Z Cucina di Spirito Dublin
Z Cucina's menu offers flavorful and well seasoned small plates, salads and main courses. Truly a "scratch kitchen" as we make our own ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, sausage, breads and desserts. Our menu also includes our hand-made ravioli, tortolloni and fresh pastas. The restaurant features a full bar with specialties such as the Pera di Miele, Basil Gin Smash and the Blood Orange Margarita. Also offered is a well crafted, artisan wine list with gems from the various regions of Italy including Tuscany, Piedmont, Apulia and Veneto as well as the countries of Spain, France, Australia and the U.S.
Amazing staff and amazing food
Good food , service somewhat slow.
Great Valentine’s Day meal. Enjoyed our food and atmosphere!
We reserved this for Valentine’s day not really knowing much about the restaurant. From the moment we walked in the door it was an amazing experience. The ambiance was very romantic and open. The service was amazing. The food was also delicious! I am so happy we chose this for our date night spot and we will be back for sure!
I thought the surroundings were rather plain and the lights just a little too bright for a fine dining experience. My salad priced at $9, was a bit sparse and since it was an Italian restaurant, I would have liked ore pasta choices that are more traditional to Italian cooking.
Wonderful dinner! Our waiter was exceptional, we will definitely be going back!
Great waiter, food, and atmosphere! We will defiantly be going again!
Saw online that Z Cucina di Spirito was ranked very high on multiple media outlets and decided to give it a try for our valentines date location. Was immediately impressed walking in with the layout and overall feel of the restaurant. After sitting down and observing the menu, I was impressed with the options they had and thought everything was valued very fairly. The drink menu was long and very diverse, with options for different spirits and beers. Personally, I am not a fan of Italian food but I loved my Roasted Local Mushroom Ravioli. It was one of the best dishes I have had in years. The plate was portioned fairly and the fresh sage cream that came on top of the mushrooms and ravioli was delicious. I ended up tasting some of my dates plate which was the Naturally Raised Chicken Parmigiana. We both came away highly impressed with the dish and would strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys chicken Parmesan. I highly encourage checking this place out, as my first experience was fantastic and I plan on going to this restaurant again to try the other dishes they offer.
Tasty and interesting menu items. "Tuscan tapas" small plates were excellent. Minestrone soup was delicious. Cheese board and charcuterie board were tasty. We had no room for desert, but will return another time to try some.
Great experience as always. Rick always makes us feel welcome and is very accommodating. The food is wonderful. Can't wait to go back
My friend and I went for happy hour at the bar. It was delightful. The food and wine were delicious, the service was friendly and prompt, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.
What could've easily turned out to be a disastrous experience was turned into a great one. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 730pm reservation. The restaurant was extremely busy and when 740 rolled around and we hadn't been seated yet I started wondering if we should go elsewhere. We were seated shortly thereafter. However we had been sitting at our table for 10 minutes and a server hadn't come over. I had mentioned something to one of the wait staff who came to refill our water. We had a waitress over soon after and the owner came over and apologized profusely and got us a round of drinks and an appetizer. The rest of the night was flawless. The food was amazing. I can see why it's so busy and the wait staff and owner are so hardworking. We will definitely be back in the future.
Excellent food, excellent service! Would recommend for a great night out.
Great meal, good atmosphere and our server was top notch!
Great food and atmosphere! Risotto Fritters were ridiculous, and the pizzas were great. Service was spot on and the owner (Rick) even stopped by and chatted for a couple minutes.
The food and service were excellent at the Dublin location. It was a bit noisy, however, which took away from the atmosphere.
Exceptional service and menu!
My wife and I decided to try out Z Cucina for our date night. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. We started with the salami plate and it was outstanding. Our waitress Crystal made some great wine suggestions. She listened to our preferences and was very knowledgeable. My wife had the branzino and I had linguini and clams. Everything was fantastic! We will definitely be back again. We spoke with Rick the owner and he was very personable and attentive. If you are looking for an excellent meal in Dublin look no further.
Z Cucina is a great place for a casual dinner. Food is good, staff is attentive and friendly, management knows what they are doing! This was an overall excellent dining experience.
The food is average and service was below average. With this location there is so much potential but you have to knock this out of the park in such an awesome environment as Bridge Park. It's noisy there but that's OK for an Italian restaurant - don't mind, really and I didn't feel like I had to yell. The Ambiance score I gave is largely because of the area it's in but the restaurant itself is not memorable.
Excellent food and service. Many Italian dishes. I had prosciutto-wrapped scallops served on a bed of sweet crab risotto with a red pepper sauce and topped with baby spinach leaves, while another person in our party had clams and a third had a vegetarian lasagna. All of us gave our dishes a top rating. All appetizers, many wines and their specialty cocktails are discounted at the bar during Happy Hour, 5-7 pm. Spacious, the tables have enough separation for private conversation. The place also has a glass-sided private dining room that will hold between 8 and 50 people, perfect for corporate events or wedding rehearsal dinners, for example. Loved the Italian iced tea, made with limoncello. Free parking on the street and in the garage directly across the narrow street.
This was our first time to the new location. Our dinners were great. We ordered the ravioli (only 4 ravioli...would love to have a few more), a flatbread pizza, and the meatball Monday special. They all were good! The winter salad was delicious. The beet salad was also great, but could have used a bit more goat cheese. We will definitely be back!
We had 9pm reservations but arrived early and were grateful to he seated early as well. The restaurant was getting busy and very loud but got quieter as the night went on. We were disappointed to learn they were out of the shrimp fra diavolo special as it sounded absolutely amazing. There were several times we had to wait and look around for our server but she was very nice. I had the flat bread mushroom pizza which was amazing. My husband and I shared a Cesar salad which was good but the lettuce was very bitter and disappointing. He had the ribeye flat bread which was good but not as good as my mushroom one. It was a bit boring compared to the flavor profile of the mushroom one. They brought out a lovely little dessert for our two friends who were having a birthday celebration. We definitely will be back.
Service was poor, items spilled and dropped - good came out wrong, items were not available from menu. Cost was not worth the value.
All of our food was very delicious and our waiter was very knowledgeable about describing the food on the menu for us. Definitely will return.
Fairly new restaurant still working out the kinks. I would try it again.
Sat us right near the entrance door despite having made reservations days in advance. Not the most desirable location.
Beautiful atmosphere! Love the openness. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome.
The Food. Oh my word. So good. I had the Lasagna and it was marvelous. Busting with flavor and loved the sausage in it. Yummy!
For dessert I had to order chocolate mousse. It was very good!
I will be back !
Z has now become my favorite restaurant in Dublin. I have dined there 3 times and every time the food has been outstanding. I think my favorite dish so far was the lasagna bolognese, but there are a lot of dishes that I am looking forward to trying. The specials that we have tried have also been really good. My only (minor) criticism is that the noise level in the glassed-in dining area was fairly high. I highly recommend Z!
Overall a good experience. Food was nice and so was the server. A couple things: drinks seemed to take a long time ( like 20ish minutes per round), one entree was forgotten and no one came to the table to acknowledge for 15 minutes. Ordered the carpaccio as an appetizer (for myself) and I’m glad I wasn’t sharing because it was TINY for the price. Staff was very nice and would come back , just need to fix drink ticket times and attentiveness.
Tables for two are not very cozy and the locations often less attractive than their 4-persons counterparts.
I recommend to add to your party of two to make it a more pleasant experience.
Service was very good, noise level very high. Food was creative.
Our first time here! We had the best meal and stayed later at the bar! We had a great evening!
Excellent food and service. Concrete floors a bit sterile in back room where ate but assume they are still figuring out the proper decor.
We went here for a friend’s birthday. Had reservations for 830, and didn’t get seated until 900. This was interesting considering the restaurant called me the day of to confirm, and lectured me on the importance of our party being on time. Once finally seated our service was extremely slow, and while our actual server was courteous the ancillary staff was rude. The only saving grace to this was at least the food was good. I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
Dublin is missing out if they have not tried Z Cucina. Service is with smile, the food is Excellent
Our reservation was for 7:00 & we weren’t seated until 7:30!!! Otherwise I thought the food was great!!
Even though I made reservations for a birthday celebration and requested river side seating we were seated in the bar area which on that evening was extremely noisy. The server was made aware and I would have expected a visit from the restaurant manager but did not. The service was good and meals were good but fell short on overall ambience.
Everything was excellent. Great service, great food. We plan to return soon.
Excellent food! Great service. The owner, Rick, is so dedicated to making this restaurant a great success!!
