We went for New Years and were highly impressed with the food we ordered. We got brazino and it was excellent and there take on carnitas was not typical but very, very good.

I've been plenty to Yxta, however I chose to bring all my friends to this resturarnt for New Years (Dec 31). it wasn't at all what I had said the restaurant would and has been. They had aset menu, there was no heads up given about this set menu, the options were limited and overall the restaurant made it complex to change the reservation times eventhough when we were seated the place was 40% empty. The service was a bit slow but it could have been that they were understaffed. Over all I promised friends that we'd come back for the tacos which are to die for.

The zarandeada (whole grilled fish-boneless) was amazingly good. One person in our party is a professional chef and she raved about this dish. The carnitas are always a hit; very tender and authentic flavor.

Excellent food and service but they can improve on cocktails... I ordered three different versions of Margaritas and they were all mediocre... Disappointing for a Mexican restaurant.

We were going to Fa La Land and did a map search for nearby restaurants, which is how we found Yxta. What a great find! The ambiance, food, and service were all amazing. I accidentally knocked over my pomegranate margarita and our server immediately replaced it. We were all extremely happy with our experience.

They were not busy, would not seat us until we were all there, wouldn't let us sit in an area that was "reserved" of which was never used. Will not return.

My team and I attended (group size of 7) for our holiday luncheon. We were seated outside and were left unattended for about 10 minutes when our server, a young woman, greeted us. She noticeably under stress and busy. She was short and a bit rude. She did not answer questions, share specials, or acknowledge members of the group. The food and overall restaurant is so good and nice that it was unfortunate we had such poor service at such a lovely location. I have had her as a server before and she was better then but not worthy of a tip.
