Great spot!!! Food and service were fantastic! Lively place fun for a night out.
I highly recommend visiting Yvonne if you are in the Boston area. This place has great tapas infused with American flare. I really enjoyed the Chicken and quinoa meatballs there. The location is hidden so you might need to use your GPS to find it. Other then that, it’s great.
It was our 20th wedding anniversary and we had a fabulous time. Thanks for making our night so incredibly special!
We were looking for a dark romantic place for drinks and dinner. We’d heard good things about Yvonne’s but I hadn’t been in the space since the old Lockober days. As soon as I walked in I knew we had made the right choice. The lighting the decor the ambiance the drinks. Just perfect. The food was great and the service was excellent. A gem
This place is phenomenal all around. The drinks are amazing as is the food. No complaints!
Don't look for steak and potatoes. Food tastes fine, just fairly funky.
If you went to Loch Obers don't plan on seeing anything you will remember.
Not very pricey so that took some of the sting out of eating strange stuff.
We had a wonderful evening at Yvonne’s! The ambience is always perfect and our server was attentive and friendly. Thank you for the nice experience!!
Not sure it lives up to the hype. But the food was good and the service excellent.
Last time I had been to Yvonne’s place was two years ago and wow! What a difference that makes. We had the rudest hostess and bartender. Luckily our sever was pleasant. Unfortunately food was extremely salty and over seasoned. Our tapas thing was a good 20/30 in between although restaurant wasn’t that busy. Unfortunately brought friends with me and was very disappointing overall. Especially flying all the from west coast and choosing to die there. Will not be going there again.
This restaurant was a great disappointment! We found the food to be absolutely undistinguished..even tasteless.
And the wonderful ambience of this venerable Boston landmark has been destroyed by the overwrought replacement decor. The seating was particularly uncomfortable. We certainly will not return.
Yvonne’s never disappoints. I try to go to Yvonne’s every time I’m in Boston, it’s a true gem! Cocktails are exquisite. Make sure you make a reservation well in advance :)
I really enjoyed this restaurant! This is my first time back since it was Locke Ober and I love what it has become. The food and service was fantastic, I'm looking forward to my next visit.
I always like going to a restaurant deeply rooted in its location; there is a very appealing authenticity to that. But then it has to be well done in terms of decor; respectful, fun, fresh. The service has to be responsive and welcoming. The food adventurous yet accessible. Yvonne's hits all of these. In our post-trip-to-Boston conversations, we put Yvonne's at the top.
Our pre-show dinner for 4 could not have been better. We enjoyed tasty and varied shared dishes, along with an unexpected but much appreciated complementary birthday dessert for one of our guests. Most of our dishes were vegetarian, and all were delicious. The wait staff made sure that we were finished in time and were generous with their attention. Yvonne's provided a cozy atmosphere in a relatively quiet spot. This is a perfect pre-show dinner restaurant, and we will definitely return.
Excellent service, great food and drinks. Overall a great experience.
It was very loud, very crowded, rather chaotic. I think the library area should be closed off from the bar and social area. The restaurant is beautiful and the decor very appealing. It is missed by being so crowded.
Outstanding dining experience. Food service ambiance.
Everyone loved everything (except the fried cheese). Fantastic food, drinks, and ambiance. We all will definitely go back!!
Love this place. Great scene, food and drinks.
Lived in Boston for 25 years never thought to go to Downtown crossing for dinner. This is my new favorite restaurant in Boston. Already told all my friends about it. Awesome aesthetics & even better food. Food came out fast & hot and service was top notch. We went for my gf birthday and they had 2 glasses of champagne waiting for us (comped) and gave us a free dessert. Really first class restaurant - can’t speak highly enough!
What s fun place! It was a Speak Easy restaurant! Very close to Boston Common and in the Financial district. We were in town for a National Conference and our hotel was around the corner. The front looks like a closed down hair salon but then the receptionist opens the door next to her, and WOW! Two bars and two big rooms appear! It’s very noisy and there are no windows. The food was mostly small plates with the exception of four or five larger plates to share. Our waitress was wonderful. Warning! We were not told nor was it indicated on the menu what level of spicy heat was in each dish. Some of the dishes we had were a little too spicy for both of us, delicious, but too spicy hot. We each had a toast. My husband had the “Short Rib Pastrami” I had the “Charred Maitake Mushrooms” both very good. Next my husband had the “Charred Lamb Ribs” he had never had them but unfortunately they were pretty spicy and he didn’t get to finish them. I had the “Naked Farro“ salad which also was very spicy. We also shared the “Berbere Carrots “ and they were delicious! We finished the night with the “Black Raspberry Chip Ice Cream with Chocolate Pecan Oatmeal Cookie Crumble” yum!! We saw one of the larger “share” plates go by and it was a lot of food! The waitress said it was the Grilled “Viper” Chop.
This was my second time at Yvonne's. It's a beautiful bar/restaurant, the cocktails and food are creative, service was perfect.
We were there to celebrate three generations of birthdays! Our table was perfect; service was outstanding and the plates were completely clean by the time they took them away. Perfect cocktails to match!
Great food, Interesting menu with lots of variety. But music is tooooo loud.
Pre theatre dinner with family- what a fun experience. Great cocktails, wines by the glass , fun food selection of small plates, pricey however expected. Service was very good
Yvonne's is great for sharing, vibrant and interesting atmosphere. We loved it!
Hidden gem. Must try when in Boston. Highly recommended
From start to finish it was a fantastic dinner. Great cocktails, great food and it was a really cool looking restaurant
Expensive and worth every penny
Ate in the library this time. Much better/quieter than the other room. Food was interesting and excellent.
Food was AMAZING. Went post matinee show and was glad for the early reservations. Our server was "meh" but i wouldnt let that stop me from going back!
Our Yvonne's experience was made thanks to our server, Jeff. He guided our entire meal and cocktail experience. From the Rubicon to duck pizza to gifting us a special anniversary dessert, we fell in love with this place. Highly recommend. And try to get Jeff A. for your waiter - amazing!
Awesome in every way!
Great place for small plates before the theater. Service was excellent and server asked if we were attending a performance in order to manage time constraints.
Really cool vibe, great food and great service. I would definitely recommend this place for any nice occasion!
Absolute a place to visit when in Boston if you like great cocktails
Everything we got was outstanding, so so so yummy! Definitely good for groups, just order a bunch of stuff and pick from everything. Even the stuff I wasn't sure I would like, I loved !!!
Amazing food and the coolest vibes. Super sexy establishment
