Such great service and ambience! The food was delicious. It was a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Fantastic and so well done.
Great baguette with an embarrassing small portion of Parisienne ham. So thin and barely enough to cover the bread. Our server was lovely and she gets 5 stars.
We made a reservation at 9pm and got confirmation for it. when we got to the place it was closed down for a party and turned us away. Disappointed about the poor attention
Visiting NYC for the Thanksgiving Day weekend and we blindly tried Yves. Could not have been more blown away top to bottom. Including three teenage kids who loved this place. Highly, highly recommended.
Has great potential with minor investment: (a) hire a hostess-having hostess double as the only server in the place makes customers wait and looks tacky (b) improve food.
service was non existent. mostly ignored. order wrong. restaurant was incredibly over heated. v expensive for what we had.
I really want this place to work. I love the ambience and the staff is so polite. My big issue is the food is just not that good.
Love this place... a neighborhood favorite!
The ovens did not work and there were no french fries 😢
Great food, service & ambiance. We had a wonderful dining experience all around. Highly recommended.
Sorry, I would not recommend this place. We arrived for a 6 pm Sunday reservation to an almost empty restaurant and yet it took over 1.5 hours to get our main course. There were out of two appetizers, didn't have the wine we chose, and the music was so loud we had to lean in to hear each other (despite having asked them to turn it down). Sadly, once the food finally came, it was lukewarm and not great. No need to repeat this experience.
Fantastic restaurant. The chef really knows what he/she is doing. Very nuanced meal. I ordered the pistachio encrusted salmon and was thrilled with it. It's a wonderful venue that's been on my radar for a while. The only drawbacks are that it was a bit hot, the evening sun was blazing into the restaurant, and noise level was high for the number of people enjoying the early evening there. Otherwise the service was wonderful.
It was a disappointing experience at Yves. Overall, they have a problem executing the food and portions are too small for the price. The server was not particularly accommodating when a complaint was brought to his attention. We began with a half-dozen oysters that arrived at room temperature--bear in mind that the room was quite warm on a summer night with all the windows open--probably over 80 degrees. They were so unappetizing that we declined to eat half of them. Instead of being plated on a bed of ice, they were set up salt--which is more suitable to cooked oysters. We suspect they'd been opened far in advance or sat out in the hot kitchen. We pointed out to the server that raw oysters should be served quite cold and his response was "I'll just get them out of the way" . A charge for $21 for 6 oysters remained on the bill ($3+ per piece!!) As present and former hospitality employees ourselves, we know that this is usually the point where a comp is offered--maybe a glass of wine or a shared dessert--but there was nothing. The cheese Gougères were twice the normal size--not necessarily a bad thing--but they were floppy and deflated with hot and cold spots, which suggests a hasty reheating and not freshly made. The "marinated seasonal vegetables" were pretty ordinary and included an out-of-season asparagus tucked among the big chunks of summer squash. The fish portions seemed pretty meager for the $31 price tag and were pretty forgettable. We declined to order dessert (the offerings were uninspired). We had to vigorously wave down the server to get the bill. With no adjustment for the poorly executed oysters and the uninterested service, our usual 20% tip didn't feel justified. For the first time in years, we left only 15%. Yves doesn't need to worry about our return--though we live 2 blocks away.
La atencion fue sobresaliente. La hamburguesa deliciosa.
I love French food but i noticed not many options in the menu, and food was ok, is only good for a lunch I expected more.
Never a bad meal ! Highly recommend. Prices are high .....
I ordered the steak and wanted it medium rare, it wasn’t medium rare but it still tasted great, and I inhaled it
We sat outside which was lovely except the service was indifferent. Repeatedly had to ask for assistance. However, the food was absolutely delicious. We will be back.
Consistently incredible! Staff is exceptional and always goes above and beyond
Food was good. We ordered oysters which were totally overpriced for what they were. Other than that we ordered a salad and a burger and they were both really good.
You will definitely need to have patience as the service is slow, we went on Friday for dinner and even though it didn’t look too busy it took them a lot of time to bring food and just take the order.
Yves used to be excellent. But something has changed. Serve isn’t great, the food takes a very long time (even when you are the only customer) and the portions have definitely gotten smaller over time perhaps to cut costs.
The staff at Yves were very accommodating with our large party including toddlers. The brunch food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!
Brunch was no fun to slow my friend could not eat cream with his eggs it was a fuss to get just two fried eggs.
They was only two vegan plate and the leeks where not cooked !
The size of the portions are ridiculous for the price !
They kindly offer me a glass of wine because we had to wait so long !
I hate brunch is NY just an excuse for bad menu and service !
You really want this place to work. It’s a lovey, cozy spot and would make the perfect neighborhood go-to. But the weekend brunch menu is way too sophisticated and complex (escargot, beef tongue, duck confit hacks).
It really needs to be simplified, with some staple dishes.
It was a lovely evening.
cute place in Tribeca, the old Ivy's now Yves. food was good and and good service
A cozy and elegant French restaurant. We were greeted warmly by the bar tender, which was a good start, then a pretty and efficient server named Diana took care of us. I loved the Branzino and what came with it (crushed hazelnuts, lemons, asparagus), but found the pistachio-crusted Salmon a bit dry. I highly recommend the Branzino, which I would like to eat again soon! Just a note that it is only served at dinner time.
The portions are smaller than usual. Not surprising as this is the “French” way.
The only negative is that there was a group of around 10 to 12 people dining, and they were very loud and noisy. That was about timing - we could have had a quieter dinner if it had been another time.
This is the place I go to for a delicious burger and even better fries. It's a but pricey, but absolutely worth the price for a fun night out with friends or family in NYC.
Average food and wine list! Good service. Disappointed with ambience and the food.
Great neighborhood restaurant! Good food, good drinks, nice attentive service.
best restaurant in Tribeca, great food, great service, great ambiance
Salmon cooked perfectly but was unfortunately too salty!
Cocktails are unique and great, food is amazing, and the staff is very friendly!
Allison was amazing
Lovely staff - creative and simple menu - delicious food
Great food and drinks. Nice place for a date
Escargot had some missing snailsnin the shells. I prefer them out of shell and all axxounted for. My pasta was too al dente. The mayor was a great drink though!
Went for dinner. Delicious steak, chicken, side dishes. Salads were fresh and tasty. Lemon cake was a surprise hit--paired well with a perfect, strong shot of espresso. Lively atmosphere, but we were able to talk/hear each other. I loved the decor: white brick, wood shutters, retro chic light fixtures. Low key, casual french chic. Service friendly and stylish. Waiters in black turtle necks and little white chef coats. My new go-to place in the neighborhood. Great for a date or small group.
many of the dishes are modern while also harking to comfort food, a very welcome combination.
