This is the fourth time we've taken friends to Yuta and we are generally huge fans. However, there were a few shortcomings in this last instance.
First, and most disappointing, the food was just okay. Now, I mean "okay" against a high bar, based both on prior experience and what any diner should reasonably expect for this price point. A number of dishes (the lamb, the octopus salad) were under-seasoned. The mushroom cassoulet had undercooked beans--which the waiter warned us about, to be fair, but it's a flaw in the dish so obvious that the kitchen should correct it once it's known. This was a Monday night and I suspect the problem may be that, when the chef is off, the supporting staff can't rise to the level of consistent excellence that we have experienced on other nights.
Second, the service can just be somewhat slow, with unexpectedly long lulls (e.g., before ordering, before getting the amuse bouche), but then with very short breaks between other courses. This is the second time we've noticed this issue. Our service was *very* slow the last time we dined here as well, so this seems to be an ongoing issue, despite the fact that, with Covid restrictions, there are only a half dozen tables running at a time.
Physically, this is one of the best dining rooms in all of Park City and usually the food is outstanding--so we will write this one off as an aberration, but we hope the management will focus more on consistency of kitchen and service execution, especially on non-peak nights.
The food is amazing. The chef truly does an awesome on the flavor profile. My palette was satisfied and I left not feeling heavy and all my senses satisfied. The bartender is amazing with the the concoctions.
This is the best restaurant with the best service in the area by a wide margin.

So wonderful! Staff was amazing!!
The food and service at Yuta is unparalleled!!
Perfect place
Amazing! Christian and Alex were very attentive and provided excellent service. The food was beautiful and very delicious. Chef went above and beyond to accommodate all of our needs. I felt very taken care of and even our car was ready at valet when we finished our meal. THANK YOU!
We had a truly immaculate experience from the impeccable cuisine, ambiance and attentive team. Thank you. Can’t wait to check out their new weekend brunch. .

Excellent : food quality great service. Must dine here & repeat customer.
Great food, attentive wait staff, highly recommend
We enjoyed "Hacienda' night immensely. It was truly authentic food and really fun to divert to eating family style.
Excellent food and the most amazing time meeting chef Galen.
Went for the family style hacienda night. Best Mexican food we’ve ever had, and for a great price for the quality of food and service. Beautiful restaurant and setting as well.
Such a great experience! In every way, the food, service, and ambiance exceed expectations. I highly recommend anyone who loves food made with love and careful attention about health and quality to eat here.
Great experience food service so good
A must on your list
Great experience!
Food was outstanding - our group of 6 had three different entrees and four different appetizers and delicious craft cocktails. Our server Elizabeth was friendly, warm, and well informed about the menu with excellent recommendations and service.
Great Service Great Food Great Wines
Great service. Great venue.
Last night was my 2nd visit to Yuta. We were so delighted the first time we booked a return evening for friends visiting from New York. There were 6 of us , all adult,s and it was someone's birthday. Upon arrival we were greeted beautifully and introduced to the hostess at the dining desk by name [nice touch]. We were then escorted to a wonderful table. Our guests were wowed by the decor and excited to be in such a new place with such a highly reviewed dining experience to look forward to. Our waiter seemed anxious. nice but nervous. Bread, our apps and first glasses of wine arrived as they should - all very good. The main courses also arrived in a timely manner but we noticed the waiter hadn't asked about a drink order for everyone or about refilling the wine and our waiter was getting harder to find. The main courses were good although a bit unremarkable. The wait staff, and then one of the managers ended up responding to our needs. By dessert no one had come to take the order and when someone did, it was another 15 minutes before the 2 little orders showed up. Back to the birthday, I had been told that the chocolate torte dessert was Yuta's customary dessert plate and so was expecting that to arrive. They had been told when i booked the reservation and twice during dinner that we wanted it for a dessert celebration. It never arrived. Obviously something happened with our waiter although he did appear at the end to give us our check and, to the restaurant's credit, they did take off the price of the 2 desserts.
In conclusion, I was little disappointed as I'm very excited about bringing people to a place like Yuta for a special experience. Last night somehow they just dropped the ball a little. I will go back again hoping this was a one-off odd situation. It's quite high priced so we expect to get a first class dining experience with no hitches. It's worth another chance because it really is beautiful and unique.
The dining experience at Yuta was nothing short of spectacular! It was our first time and a special occasion ( 10 year anniversary) and from the guard gate to our vehicle waiting for us as we departed -and the fact that we were recognized by everyone in between - was such a special night for us! Bravo Yuta! We WILL be back soon!!
Beautiful location, lovely restaurant and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Yuta is by far the best restaurant in Utah.
Service was absolutely outstanding. From beginning to end, everyone was professional, friendly, attentive, and amicable. Ambiance was great, large windows with mountain views. Food was pretty good. We had the grilled octopus and sous vide carrots appetizers, sweet potato gnocchi, and short rib. Date cake and hibiscus soup desserts. Date cake was really good. Sous vide carrots was very nice. Everything else was ok. All the ingredients were fresh and high quality, just lacked finesse and complexity on some fronts. Gnocchi texture was on the dense side and flavor was a bit flat. For the price, would expect more punchy, surprising flavors and textures. Drinks were a highlight. Our waiter's wine recommendation for us as non-wine drinkers was spot on. The Overall still a great experience and would go again.
Excellent experience. Amazing food.
I love this restaurant. It is one of my new favorites. It's a true dining experience with an ambiance and menu that is impossible to find anywhere else in Park City.
Group of friends who haven’t been together for a year!
Martin and his staff were very accommodating.
From our greeting at the door to our farewell at the end of he evening, everything was exceptional. Every dish was perfectly prepared and left us wanting more - in a good way. The hostess and wait staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. There was always someone available when we wanted something and yet we never felt hovered over or rushed. The octopus appetizer was fantastic and both the quail and the steak were prepared perfectly. Finally the Chocolate Mouse Torte was a fantastic end to a great evening!
The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and we were treated extra special. It was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
Quite possibly the best dining experience in the Park City/Deer Valley area. Beautiful setting and dining room, thoughtfully constructed menu. You can tell there is a lot of experience in the kitchen and wait staff. The chef clearly understands how to prepare meals with love and layers of flavors. We tried seven items and all were outstanding. It's wonderful to have Yuta on our dining scene!
Excellent in all respects!
If Yuta isn't the best restaurant in Utah I don't know what is. Nothing in the Park City or Salt Lake City areas is even close to the overall experience that Yuta provides. Great, creative food and the service shown us by Christian was off the charts. Well worth the drive from either PC or SLC. We will be returning soon and often
Perhaps the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was delicious, especially the mushroom soup and grilled octopus starters. To round it all off, the service was fantastic, our waiter was extremely knowledgable and lovely to chat with! 10/10 experience I would definitely dine here again and will try to figure out how to get married again so it can take place here.
My wife and I celebrated a birthday and the Yuta provided us with and amazing and romantic experience. Everything we ate had a beautiful presentation and individually outstanding flavors. My favorite was the ribeye steak, the best steak I've ever had. The entire staff was extremely inviting, provided great information and insights to the dishes and great conversations. The Lodge at Blue Sky ambiance is phenomenal and a special place to enjoy a meal, recreate and stay. The Hose Thief cocktail is a must have! It has a great story and helps donate to the Saving Gracie Foundation!
When I departed Yuta, I was sure to give a high-five and a handshake to the Chef with a sincere thank you and job well done to the other kitchen staff along with our superb and downright real and super foodie waiter, Cristian!!! It takes a lot for me to get impressed by food, but this meal was superb!!! I'll leave all the eloquently descriptive reviews to the pros, but I can honestly say the food items we tried had everything I love in a good meal and dining experience! 1. The portions, quality and service matched the price. 2. Food was fresh and in close proximity to the restaurant, land and season. 3. The dishes had flavor, complexity yet balance and were unique. We had the octopus (which was cooked perfect and easy to screw up), mushroom soup (unique mushroom native to Japan and Oregon), rib-eye with a homemade Worcestershire sauce that a small cast iron skillet filled with divine goodness and salmon that was as fresh as if I had just caught it myself in the Kenai River. All were EXCELLENT and made me continuously say "wow" while shaking my head! I enthusiastically recommend this dining experience---and you'll even enjoy a beautiful drive, lovely hotel with warm and cozy ambiance while sipping on a nice cocktail at the stylish bar.....just be on the lookout for their local Elk which love a free meal from the local horses owned by Barb! Loved hearing the story of Barb and all the love she has given to her Horses she helped save! It appears the hotel interior design was inspired by Barb's horses. Just an all around GREAT EXPERIENCE!
The setting is just gorgeous. We had been there in the summer and wanted to check out the winter vibe. The dining room is just lovely and comfortable. There were two of us; one choosing the 4 course meal, the other off the regular menu. We were informed that there was lots of flexibility with both if we wanted to mix and match, which was very nice. The dishes were beautifully presented and delicious on all counts. You may leave feeling pampered and pleased that you didn't overeat (meaning many options are spa like in nature). Still, it was a lovely experience and we were very pleased to have tried Yuta.
The food here was truly amazing and unique, and our waitress was personable and attentive. It’s a trek to the ranch, but, it is a beautiful property and worth the drive. On the downside; They had some problems moderating the lighting so, our table was in a bit of a spotlight, not relaxing. Another glitch was the wine. We ordered a bottle of white and it was warm. We had to wait a while to drink it, which was not appropriate for a restaurant of this caliber. Also, be prepared to drop mega $$$$. Not for the faint of wallet. In spite of these negatives, I would return for the delicious food. Any restaurant can have an off night, so, maybe this was just one of those.
The food was quite good but the service was terrible and the prices were outrageous, even for Park City. I had Swordfish Skewers which were 3 small pieces of swordfish for $40!
Had a wonderful experience at Yuta. Our favorite parts of the evening were the ambience (it's clear Blue Sky has put a lot of investment into curating a beautiful property down to every single detail), the cocktails (perfectly balanced and refreshing though could use some seasonal specialization), and the appetizers. We had the amuse bouche (swordfish ceviche, delicious), farm salad, tuna l'Occidental (incredibly fresh and wonderful flavor), and the mushroom soup (okay: lacked depth but had decent flavor but overwhelmed by the Asian mushrooms. Between the texture and lack of depth/savory-ness, it felt more like a mushroom puree). Dinner: Three of us had the Ribeye while our friend had the chicken. This is the only time in my memory where chicken beat ribeye by miles as the better dish. Her chicken was perfectly crispy and golden brown on the outside with a very tender juicy flavor. The ribeye was fine but was truly the only lackluster ribeye I have ever had in my entire life. I've grilled better ribeye at home. I have a sneaking suspicion it had more to do with the cut and sourcing than it did the cooking. The best part of the ribeye was the marrow, brisket, and brioche accompaniment the steak came with. The ribeye itself was cooked to the perfect temperature but not nearly as tender as I am used to with ribeye. It didn't have very even marbling which lends itself better to that melt in your mouth quality of most ribeyes and also contributed to the lack of flavor (desperately needed another touch of salt to make up for that). I tasted no hint of the housemade Worchestershire sauce that they supposedly used. Considering the setting of it being a ranch in the mountains, this was a huge miss. Perhaps sometimes sourcing too local, if your cattle just isn't the right fit for particular dishes, isn't the right call. Dessert: We were too full but enjoyed the four unique complimentary macarons which were textbook perfect. Petite, delicate yet indulgent, and unique flavors.
