    Loved the tofu and peppers dish (am not normally a big tofu fan). Everything was very good and loved having Chinese food that was different than other places (though they also had some common favorites as well).

    So freaking good. Get the Rice Pancakes without hesitation. Everything we ordered was phenomenal...first time in a while I've had authentic Dian food.

    First, food, no authentic Yunnan cuisine. Very limited choice. They don’t even serve the most popular food such as Yunnan rice noodle soup. There is a Yunnan grilled fish listed on the menu but was told the oven was broken. We ordered Prosecco which came as an individual bottle that is nice. Five dishes, three of them were merely ok, mint leaf beef, dajiujia, which is stir fry rice cake and Grandma mash potato; one Yunnan rice tofu was tasteless; the worst was lala beef, the dry tofu skin in this dish already turned bad. The desert rice ball with brown sugar was not bad. Second, the ambience was not good, you can hear the stir fry noise from the kitchen as the door was always open which left your clothes smells. The table felt sticky. Worst of it, the chopsticks was in poor quality both of us got spikes while using them. Service was fine but if you expect authentic Yunnan cuisine and fine dining like others in South End. It is not what you expected

    Yunnan was a respite from the rain that let us linger over a long dinner and catch up with old friends. Authentic cuisine. Warm and well-lit. A delicious meal. We’ll definitely be back.
