Awesome birthday dinner!
Great experience. Food, presentation, service were all top notch.
Beautiful food in an intimate setting, had a very enjoyable experience.
Everything was excellent. The food tasted delicious and looked beautiful, the service was exceptional, and Chef Daisuke Izutsu was absolutely amazing. The staff there was very friendly, and the chef was really nice to talk to and fun. The ambient of the restaurant was great as well, the whole 9-course kaiseki experience was such a nice way to spend a Friday evening. I highly recommend sitting at the counter, so that you can interact and talk with the chef, as well as having front row seat to see and experience how he and his staff prepare all the delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant and I'll definitely be coming back here with my girlfriend to try their next seasonal menu.
Very authentic Japanese cuisine. Staffs were very friendly. However, they strictly maintain the penalty charge for cancellation if it is not before 24 hrs. So be mindful about that.
unique tasting menu experience, warm hospitable service, you can feel the passion & love of the chef in the dishes both in taste and presentation.
Always a great meal for a special occasion. It is wonderful to see Yukashi emerging successfully after the lockdown.
Great experience. Excellent service and food. Everything fresh from Japan. Omakase menu with ingredients that change seasonally (we plan on returning every season :))
Amazing experience sitting infront of Chef Izutsu. Not only did the food look like art but it was delicious!
A unique less traditional spin on omakase with less emphasis on sashimi, with a thoughtful progression through the meal. Quite a cozy personable approachable atmosphere. Handled precautions very reasonably.
Awesome as always. Never disappoints. Great value with sake pairing considering the creativity and thought put into each dish.
Yukashi did not block their bookings! We dressed up and took a cab all the way to the restaurant to find it closed! Very unprofessional and ruined our 2 year anniversary dinner
Food is excellent, fresh and delicious. Chefs worked really hard providing great food, waitress was very kind and helpful. Price isn’t cheap, but it is worthy to dine there! Will definitely go back again!
Yukashi is definitely a must try omakase restaurant!
A wonderful experience. We did the 9 course meal at the counter (closest to the kitchen) and it was fantastic. The food was well balanced and beautifully displayed. The sashimi course was fantastic and of course the wagyu is a treat. The Japanese melon!!! Incredible. Ingredients were fresh and some directly from Japan.
The chef and staff are very friendly - definitely speak to the chef if you get a chance. You get a similar experience as a omakase restaurant in Japan. This experience made us want to rebook a trip to japan!
This was worth the splurge if you’re looking for fine dining. Highly recommend.
My friends and I love tasting menus. We were quite excited to try this restaurant. Boy what a let down. This goes down as one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Unfortunately there are no redeeming qualities to speak of. The ambiance is bare bones basic, similar to what one would expect in an “all can you eat” sushi place. The food, was average. And sparse. Small pieces of sashimi scattered on a board. We got the 9 “course” tasting menu for $150 pp and I was starving afterward. And I’m not one of these people that likes big portions, I adore tasting menus. Not one dish was memorable. The dessert was the final nail in the coffin - a slice of MELON. What an insult. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place.
The food is a work of art. Very high level attention to detail. Chef is very friendly and welcoming. Sit at the counter to see the food being assembled.
We loved the food and the service. It is quite similar to a private dining experience. They really did an amazing job to create a kids meal for my son while we went for the Omakashe!
It was very nice experience with the food. Food was very well executed no doubt of it. The waitress was just very lovely and the chefs as well. It felt a little too bright in there, maybe if the lights could be turn down a little the place would feel a little bit more warm. Portions are small but there is perfection in there. :)
Excellent meal. We were sad when we realized the meal was about to end. Had a very pleasant chat with chef Daisuke which made the experience even better. Will definitely be going back.
Everything was amazing. The food was art I almost didn’t want to touch it. We felt like we took a trip to Japan for the couple of hours we were there. The chef and team was amazing. Highly recommended.
Best Japanese restaurant in Toronto, me and my boyfriend went there and we love everything! Services provided are excellent and food are so tasty! You must not miss this amazing restaurant !
wonderful tasting menu... with paired saki... we were only ones in restaurant though... PEOPLE need to support our local restaurants... !
Excellent and very unique authentic food. You are paying for an experience and it’s well worth it. We loved sitting at the counter and interacting with the very sweet Japanese Chef!
Food is exceptional, they also remembered our anniversary. AC was a bit too cold so bring a jacket.
Will come next time
Celerabrated my 25th birthday with my mom at Yukashi. Enjoyed sitting at the counter table, which gave me opportunities to have little conversations with the chef. Observing the production area was unique, everyone is meticulous about making the best presentation. It was worth it to try the Sake pairing which I got a little tipsy. 🥰 this experience brings up memories of my travel to Tsukiji market years ago. Shiso Flower and the umami of the ingredients never fails to surprise me.
Lovely restaurant. The Toro and wagyu beef were melt-in-your-mouth. Good sake selection.
This place gives you an amazing omakase experience, the best visual enjoyment and the most worth it experience. All the staffs especially the chef is super friendly and enthusiastic
Yukashi was a fantastic omakase experience. The ambiance was serene, the food was a symphony of unique textures and flavours, and the staff were helpful in explaining the dishes and the proper way to eat them. We went for a romantic dinner and I got the 4-course and my husband got the 9-course menu and they split the additional course so we both got to try them. Still tasting the in-house smoked yellowtail, the tuna belly, and the sake soup in my memories...
We celebrated a wonderful birthday at Yukashi and were hosted with superb generosity and attention-to-detail by Chef Daisuke and his team.
Chef is super friendly, I would definitely go back
Me and my gf taste the 9 courses menu with sake pairing on Valentines Day. The food is so creative in its taste, texture, combination:)
Such a unique experience – unlike any other Japanese resto I've been to in the city.
The food was excellent and fresh
True authentic Japanese meal and experience that I only had in japan.
Amazing delicate touch creating beautiful delicious food, with impeccable service. A very enjoyable experience all around (particularly sitting at the counter in full view of the kitchen and creative process)
Food was awesome! Great friendly staff. Very good experience!
