YUCO should be a Michelin one star restaurant. At least. Not just the quality of the food, but the creative combination of intense flavors; the presentation (including the design of dish ware — especially glassware — crockery, and utensils); the quality and enthusiasm of all service staff, who clearly love their work and this restaurant make the dining experience not only supremely satisfying but also a uniquely pleasurable and memorable experience. We did not have to drink wine as the cocktail concoctions provided one delight after another and they always complemented whatever course was being served. Wizardry is a likely explanation. Simply a treasure.
Amazing food, a lovely experience esp for our anniversary. It was a once in a lifetime experience. And the level of detail and culinary artistry was unmatched. And the stirred Margarita was the best drink we have ever had.

This may be the best Mexican restaurant in town. The three course pre fixe for $95 was good to excellent. We had the Flor en Nogada (squash blossom, sweet plantain, prickly pear, walnut cream source. Excellent. The Lobster and Rajas was very good, though the lobster was a little rubbery. The Heritage Chicken Tamal was fine, though not in keeping with the other dishes. It was a little dry. The chocolate desert was excellent, along with the granite. Cocktails were quite good. There is an excellent wine list though there could be more to choose from in the under $100 category. Service was outstanding.
Amazing food! Highly recommend it
Food was excellent! I had the ceviche (wish it were slightly bigger) and the lobster (which was a perfect portion). I also had the chocolate dessert, which is probably one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! We all enjoyed the food immensely. Great decor too.
While the appetizers were extraordinarily delicious, the main dishes left a lot to be desired. The lobster was tough and seemed undercooked and almost inedible; the scallops were tasty but overly salty. The service was quite attentive but we felt almost "bullied" by the waitress to get the most expensive items and treated with some disdain for not choosing to order the way she recommended, which made the dining experience unpleasant. That said, the cost of the lobster was removed from our bill, which was quite gracious. The chocolate dessert was really inventive and complex.
This place is exceptionally good! Just go and enjoy!!
An incredible food journey through the Yucatán. Some of the most delicious and inventive dishes I’ve experienced recently. The setting, ambiance and service were impeccable. Relaxed and courteous, charming and elegant. Can’t wait to go back.
Unique experience, servers very qualified, incredibly food and unbelievably drinks.
Great service and presentation of the food but the taste was not that great considering how small and expensive the dishes were. I was excited to try the corn cocktail but didn’t like it much. They’re obviously putting a lot of effort into making this place nice but the food just didn’t do it for me.
This was easily one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in NYC. The food was incredible - molecular gastronomy at its finest. The service was outstanding - attentive but not overbearing. The sommelier provided thoughtful pairings to each course. The ambiance was chic and refined.
It may have been the most expensive “Taco Tuesday” I’ve ever had, but it was worth it.
This was a romantic getaway weekend and the absolute perfect dinner experience! This ranks easily as the best modern Mexican meal I’ve ever had, and as one of my top three meals of all time! The food hit all of the marks - presentation, flavor, texture, balance, portions, etc. High praise to the Chef and the kitchen team! The bartender did an amazing job on an amazing drink - the 5 ages of corn. Joseph was the perfect host-maître'd-waiter. (Not sure his real title but he was super helpful and accommodating with educating us around our food choices and requests!) The ambiance was amazing too, with fine attention to details on all design elements - not sure why this is not yet a Michelin star. We will definitely be back!
Food is good, not great. Portions are small. I love the concept, they need to fine tune the food and service though. Worth checking out.
We had a great date night dinner at Yuco! Refined, unique, and absolutely delicious food. Everything we tried had great flavors and textures. Don't skip dessert. The service was attentive, warm, and friendly. Incredible cocktails and knowledgeable staff. Refreshing to see a fine dining destination that is outside the box and learned a bit about Yucatan cuisine to top it off. We want to go back to try other dishes!
10/10 all around! Astounding modern twist on Mexican cuisine. Food very tasty and more importantly super pleasant, attentive and professional service. The cocktails are a feast for the eye as well as the soul.
Phenomenal food and service. Top notch in every way, even for NYC.
Yuco has succeeded in creating a fine dining experience for Mexican-inspired food. The service, the platings, and the food itself were outstanding. My only suggestions are more of the homemade tortillas to soak up the sauce on the entrees and maybe a little more time in between courses to allow yourself time to savor what you've just eaten. And don't forget to order a cocktail off their unique list - I discovered corn whisky last night and its the perfect, lighter version of a more traditional whiskey which is perfect for a hot, summer night.
Amazing ambiance. Experienced, nice staff. Sophisticated delicious food.
interesting, artistic, memorable and delicious - a breakthrough for mex food
Great experience! Would not be surprised if Yuco is awarded a Michelin star next year. Very creative dishes and the Somm is fantastic.
The service & food is outstanding here - lots of nice little details. Everything we tried was delicious- do not miss out on the oxtail with mole.
Yuko was wonderful. We had a great time and the food was delectable. We will be adding this restaurant to our regular dinner rotation, assuming we can still get reservations as people discover this lovely, delicious restaurant.
Wonderful experience! Food was interesting and excellent. Great service, we felt very well taken care of.
Hostess to be replaced. Busy or flirting with someone at the bar.
Table service very good.
Cocktails are fun and creative.
Food good and well presented. Portions however are really minimal. They need also to work to serve warm food warm… it arrived most of the times cold. Plates need to be warmed up.
Desserts are a must to try. They are special
Prices very very high.
Hi Antonella, We know you were very upset that we could not seat your dog in the main dining room. We are dog lovers as well and it was obviously very upsetting to you. Unfortunately, health code prevents dogs, even cute ones, from being around an open kitchen. Obviously sitting at the bar wasn't quite the same but it was the best we could do given the regulations. Thanks for stopping by, and yes, we agree, the desserts are great!
Amazing food and service. Highly recommend for a really unique and upscale dining experience.
Very refined Mexican cooking beautifully presented in an attractive setting. The kitchen is a bit slow but we were there only on the second night they were open.
The food here is very good though perhaps a little too precious.
Yuco is sexy silk slip dress date-night vibes, or really interesting cocktails at the bar and some tacos (the corn cocktail and the octopus tacos are VITAL), or a big group of old friends in the back room drinking wines older than we are. Its legit versatile.
The ceviche was unreal--the jellies and suspensions surrounding the fish and octopus were super molecular-y (that's right) in technique but so so familiar and earthy and BRIGHT in flavor. It's also just incredibly beautiful to look at. It was evocative of being in a salty beachside grill in Tulum but with Jean Georges textures.
All of the other dishes were bonkers with real stand outs being the octopus tacos, the Aguachile dessert (it is SO tart for my fellow acid heads ;) ), the oxtail (one just has to order oxtail when its on the menu!! The flavor is deep and familiar but the textures are totally different).
Funnily, something that really really blew me away was an amuse bouche therefore totally unexpected--the shrimp taco. Deconstructed, foam, suspensions, all of the fine dining trickery but the roasty, ground masa, flavor was totally grounding and earthy and just wild to have in that manner. It was legit transcendent. I want the cilantro lime foam on my coffee every morning.
Long story short--this place has a bright future and I'm excited to have their micro cilantro stuck in my teeth for the rest of eternity. ALSO, order the espresso--its a blend specifically made by my fave Stone Street, and it was so good it was like another dish entirely.
Yuco is a unique experience, it’s fine dining served in an intimate setting, using authentic and earthy flavors. The food is fantastic and the staff is very personable and attentive. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, but there is also a large trendy bar area in the front if you want something casual. We started with cocktails to get the mood going, lots of original choices, then we had the tasting menu, which included Wagyu steak, ceviche, and octopus, all elegantly plated and packed with wonderful flavors from the Yucatan region. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier was great in recommending a nice Bordeaux we enjoyed. Overall highly recommended.
Outstanding! Everything was perfect. I had the soup, scallops, and of course, dessert. Each dish was a picture of delight and very tasty. I really enjoyed the friendly staff and wonderful service. I highly recommend Yuco.
