We ate at YUCO last night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome and gave us fantastic service. I selected this restaurant as it had oxtail on the menu (one of my husband’s fav dishes), and it did not disappoint! Our waiter, Joseph, was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations for the table. We decided to do the option where we selected a first plate, a taco dish, a main dish, and dessert. Every plate was better than the next! I had the pork belly app, octopus tacos, and the prime rib, while my husband had the elote soup, the steak taco, and the oxtail. For dessert we got both the chocolate and corn dishes. Everything was delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or date night. Great ambiance and great food!

Quite disappointed. Server did not want to sit us as the chef’s table, and those chairs stayed empty all night. There was mix ups in the order and in the check. Food was ok, but nothing more especially considering the price point of their prix fixe.

We reserved online and there were a number of choices between two types of tasting menus or allá cart. since some of the things we wanted to taste were not on tasting menu and we like to share our food we went with allá cart.what they did not say on the reservation was that there are two rooms, one really a bar area much more casual, no table clothes kind of setting, tight close sitting ,and the back room much more upscale. You can only sit in back room if you have reserved a tasting menu. I was very disappointed and asked to be moved but they said no,and the back room was never full the whole time we were there, from 6:45-9pm. We spent about $700 for 4 people. It is ridiculous that for those prices you are shunned to the bar area. I would not come back. The food was interesting and some things quite good others just ok. But the atmosphere should match the price tag and the style of service, and it does not.

We're very sorry you didn't enjoy the decor of our Agave room! On the Saturday you visited every seat was filled in the back room after 8pm. We would have loved to have accommodated you in the main dining. We do mention on our OpenTable description that we prioritize long form tasting menus and prix fixe menus for the back room. This is because with so many dishes we try to minimize the distance our staff have to travel, in order to minimize the physical toll for our staff. Best, YUCO

This is a ridiculous "experience." They want to be a top restaurant but fail on every part of it except price. Avoid this place entirely. The service was awful until I requested that they "step it up," and even then they struggled to pace the courses and wines appropriately.

Dear Dr. James Burkman, We are sorry your visit wasn't ideal, even though you stayed for 10 courses and 4 hours. After speaking you had two issues in the first 30 minutes. (1) our server didn't know intimate details of the champagne, and (2) a glass of wine on the pairing was small and late. We don't like that either (and gave you replacement wine and upgraded your pairing, at a price difference of $165). We do take issue with that as a basis to humiliate/berate our, or any, staff. -YUCO

Love the décor and open kitchen view. Amazing cocktail choices. We had a la carte menu instead of the pre fix. Appetizers and desserts were both with excellent execution and taste. The entrée oxtail was a big disappointment. Too salty for our taste. Portions were small and pricy. It was a great one time experience to dine at Yuco but I don't have the urge to go back.
