YUCA, an acronym for Young Urban Cuban-Americans, is widely known as being South Florida's original upscale Cuban restaurant featuring Innovative Nuevo Latino Cuisine or as the locals call it "Nuevo Latino." This style of cooking includes traditional Latin ingredients such as a plethora of textures, colors, and flavors that when combined creates a cuisine that is unique to anything offered outside of the Caribbean and Latin America.

Yuca Ratings and Reviews
Good food. Requested patio at 7pm on Halloween. When I arrived I was told $50 minimum per person and 2 hour limit. No problem. We ordered right away. We went over the $50 minimum, but after an hour the waiter was told by a manager to drop the check. We were still ordering drinks! I know they want to turn tables, but this was a little much. When I tell my clients they have two hours, I give them two hours. The whole idea was to enjoy the Halloween show. Not professional...
The setting on Lincoln Road was great, but the food was mediocre. Appetizers were the best part of the meal. Ropa vieja was lukewarm and not well seasoned. Paella was ok but rice wasnt well cooked. Our daughter got spaghetti bolognese and ate 3 bites. For me the biggest disappointment were the "tostones" that didnt taste at all like what I expected - more like fried yuca than fried plantains. There was also an electric violin player who at first I thought would be annoying but he played good Latin music so actually added to the experience.
Wow, ok let's get right into this. Been going to South Beach for many years, over 30 to be exact and I always try to go to my staples that I, tourists and locals know about. Heading into Lincoln Road Mall on a Monday to do some shopping and have always seen Yuca but never tried it but decided to do so. Everyone, this place is a must!! Creative Cuban/Latino food moderately priced in a 4 star atmosphere!! No BS!, service and attention to creating a first class experience for us diners blew me away, even better than trendy 4 star restaurants in the area. Out of their amazing Pineapple Dessert and manager noticed my disappointment, made sure my wishes came true and sent someone out to get one. Now that is service!! Again, food is very good and won't break the bank and when you add the impeccable service this place is a home run!
The service and food were both excellent. We both had seafood dishes with the calamari appetizer. Both meals and appetizer were tasty. The calamari, which was highly recommended by two different members of the staff, was nearly perfect with some red peppers mixed in.
I would recommend Yuca to someone staying in the South Beach area of Miami.
Has a wonderful dinner. We ordered the goat cheese croquettes and empanadas to share. For the entree we ate ropa viejia and a plantain crusted mahi mahi. Both were served with fufu. We also shared some fried plantains. All was wonderful. Our server was knowledgeable in the menu, and walked us through the Cuban cuisine
