YUCA, an acronym for Young Urban Cuban-Americans, is widely known as being South Florida's original upscale Cuban restaurant featuring Innovative Nuevo Latino Cuisine or as the locals call it "Nuevo Latino." This style of cooking includes traditional Latin ingredients such as a plethora of textures, colors, and flavors that when combined creates a cuisine that is unique to anything offered outside of the Caribbean and Latin America.

Yuca Ratings and Reviews
did not have a pleasant experience. was seated in corner table next to a very very very loud table of about 15 people. could not even talk to my date without having to raise my voice. second floor was closed to my dismay. online I understood there was dancing. food was good and server was kind and attentive however overall experience was poor.
Nestor was our waiter, he was very good- we had friends from London and the south Hamptons first time in south Florida- they were very impressed with the delicious meals. Only negative was the noise level- very hard to hear each other - otherwise we will go back
This restaurant was amazing! From the minute we walked in the door, we received the best customer service!! The manager, Orlando, was great! He greeted us warmly, attentively took care of us, and made us feel very welcome. Drinks, food, service and atmosphere were all really amazing!! The food was authentic upscale Cuban food, and it was delicious! Throughout the meal, we were serenaded by the talented violinist! My friends and I all agree that Yuca was definitely the highlight of the trip! Thanks to the restaurant and staff who made our night so special and fun!
The special steak of the day which was shredded and served with onions was to dry. There steaks were too tough. The paella was awesome. The half chicken was very good. Plenty of staff. The waiter was not Cuban so every time we asked specific questions as to preparation or ingredients he was not very knowledgeable. Empanadas were excellent.
We really wanted to like YUCA, but our experience fell short of our expectations. The food was very expensive ($50+ per person) for what you get. I ordered the grouper special for $36 and it was about a 3 ounce portion of fish with some grilled squash and rice. The service was efficient, friendly and professional. A friend ordered the whole fried fish ($39) and he said he was very disappointed because it was very overcooked and dry.
We wouldn't go back. Too many other places in South Beach that offer better food at more reasonable prices.
We were staying in Palm Beach area but wanted to head down to Lincoln Road for dinner.
We had heard that YUCA was good.
Traffic was terrible on I-95 S with multiple car crashes.
It took around 2 1/2 hours to get down to the restaurant and find parking but it was worth the effort.
Very good appetizer with warm goat cheese.
All entrees were very good as were the side dishes.
Nice evening, nothing special was here years ago, seemed more special. I had an early reservation, seated inside upfront, next to a table with a child that was not seated, sorry people even though it’s early, keep your children seated. This is not McDonald’s with a playroom. My table was set for 4, reservation for 2. I consistently saw 3-4 waitstaff watching the Lincoln Road walking traffic, no one intended to make our 4 a 2 until after appetizers. Twice had to ask a waiter (not mine) to refill water glasses, he never did. Finally a busboy did. Not without three waiters watching the walking 🚶 pass by. Not really worth $140 for 2. No alcohol. No dessert. I always leave a 20%+ tip, but Yuca included a 18% tip in the bill for 2, I gave no extra.
Service was outstanding! Tried very hard to accommodate my picky teenager and made a dish not on the menu. When my soup came out room temperature they heated it up right away. Black bean soup outstanding. Loved the beet Salad and nice enough weather to sit outside. Something for everyone.
I generally enjoy coming here when I come to South Beach. Great ambiance sitting on the sidewalk and people-watching. My only complaint is that my husband and I shared small plates on this visit and both of the plates that should have been hot were barely warm. One of them had a sauce and there was actually a film on the sauce it had gotten so cool. The other two (cold) plates were great. Our server, Jasmine, was very attentive.
They have the menu broken down into apps, small plates, and a few regular size plates options for different pricing. I ordered off of the regular size option and was really disappointed with that I received. I am all for smaller portions, but what I got was the size of a side dish. We were also sat so close to the people next to us, I had to listen to this lady complain the whole time.
Decided on a whim to head to Yuca for our last night in Miami and it was one of the best restaurants we ate at on the whole trip! The ambiance was fun, the staff was super friendly and had lots of recommendations, and our cocktails were tasty and had lots of Miami flair. All the food was amazing - the empanadas were seasoned so well and I've never had guava and burrata together but the combo was great! I ate the seafood paella which had a large variety of seafood in it and was deliciously filling, while my mom had the churrasco which had an awesome chimicurri sauce with it. I will definitely go back here next time I'm in Miami!
