Excellent dinner for our last night in Yosemite. French Onion soup was delicious. My wife had the 8oz ribeye which the first one was over cooked but they quickly replaced it with medium rare. I had the pork chop which was good but a little dry. Fabulous service and ambiance.

It’s a lovely setting if you don’t get seated right next to the door, as we were. Of course, can’t be helped, but it is distracting to watch everyone walk in and out. Food was so so. A $6.50 basket of bread included four rolls, all the same. The house-blended butter was very tasty but barely enough for four white rolls. My trout was delicious; my husband’s chicken breast was barely edible, or so he said when he left half uneaten. Rice was blah, and green beans quite ordinary. We canceled our reservation for the following night.

Everything was just great. The soup, oyster mushroom and rice , was so good. The broth was perfect, the rice had the right crunch, and the mushrooms so tender. The watermelon radish green salad was also great. We had a filet and a ribeye, both delicious. The chocolate tort dessert was just a great gooey inside and nice crisp chocolate outside. All really good, I was impressed and pleased.

Food was amazing and at a good price point. Service was not the best, they forgot the fries and some sauces. They also took about 20 minutes after seating us to come take our order and they weren’t busy as there were many empty tables. We had a birthday at the table and they also didn’t acknowledge that even though I put it on the reservation.

The food was very delicious and the service perfect. I tried tofu for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how good the dish tasted. We all enjoyed our meals. We ordered the wagyu burger, the trout , and the fillet for our other meals. We ended the meal with cheesecake with berries and the best vanilla sundae ever. Give this place a try. P.S. It was dark when we arrived for our reservation so the view wasn’t available but we knew it was there just right outside the window.

This was the first time we ate here. The view wasn't as spectacular as I hoped, mostly due to the trees blocking the view of the Yosemite Falls. But hard to fault them for too many trees! The food was surprisingly good. I had the filet and it was excellent. My wife had a salad and enjoyed it. The service was very good. All in all, a good experience.

Good, not great. Expensive for the quality. $150 for two. Small steak, trout, onion soup, 2 beers and desert. Enjoyed dinner but cancelled reservation for a few days later.

Although I never order steak when out , I did this evening. BEST steak I've had in many years ( with bleu cheese, onion sauce ) Perfectly prepared and great cut of beef. My spouse had the trout which was also very good.

We were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance and meals! The experience far surpassed any that we’ve had in a national park, and was similar to that of a fine dining restaurant in a city. This is hands-down the best place to eat if you want a relaxing environment and have high-standards for food.

Had the 8 oz ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables which were the green beans. Also had a glass of the acrobat Pinot noir. The ribeye was nicely seasoned and matched my order of medium rare. Meat had a nice crusting and grill marks. The cut of meat unfortunately had a line of gristle running through the center that was inedible- I just cut around it and was still able to eat about 90% of the steak. I didn’t mention it. Garlic mash and green beans were good! The wine was good! The waiter worked hard to deliver an upscale dining experience- he could relax and enjoy a little I think 😊

They advertise this restaurant as one of the "fine dining" restaurants available in Yosemite Valley. Atmosphere is cafeteria style, loud and no table cloths. We ordered two martinis shaken well and served up, they were warm. Food was tasteless and not hot. Server would walk by us several times and never offered another drink, or asked how our food was. It took forever to get a check. We will not be returning. Total waste of money.

Beautiful space with friendly staff. The steak was delicious as were most of the side dishes. My wife didn’t care for her entree as much but the delicious desserts made up for it. We ordered four different ones and had trouble choosing a favorite.

The food is tasty, portions are good sized. Somewhat understaffed but decent service. What is lacking is some ambience. Even though the Mountain room has majestic views it feels like a school cafeteria. Nice high ceiling and real wood panels - but quite shabbily arranged tables, no table cloth, tables squeezed together on one side, empty patches on the other side. How about putting some mirrors to take in the views? Just hire an interior designer please. It is such a lovely place.

Excellent food, we had the filet mignons (one with shrimp added - highly recommend this upgrade!). Tasted so good after a big day hiking upper yosemite falls. Washed it all down with a bottle of Syrah. Yes kinda pricey but felt like we got good value for the money. Portions were very healthy. Service was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. This was our second visit to The Mountain Room Restaurant and we look forward more whenever we visit Yosemite Valley.

Beautiful dining room overlooking Yosemite Fall. But the food was very mediocre and the service was stretched thin. Requests went unheeded and it was an altogether an uninspired experience, even if it spared us one night of campsite cooking.

Dined here twice in two days and both times was a wonderful experience. All of the food was wonderful, however the salad on the second night had a bit too much dressing but everything was still wonderful. Great staff, great food, great experience.

The food was disappointing for the high prices. The bill didn’t add up. It had approximately $10 extra dollars that didn’t tie back to anything in the itemized receipt?? Our server Brandon was very nice and on point.
