    Unfortunately, the food is always below par at the Mountain Room, especially the main dishes, over priced and sub standard. We travel to Yosemite every year and continue to try them but are always disappointed. Service was extremely slow on this latest attempt.

    Everything was great until time to order. Wanted the Flatbread, waiter said they were out. I questioned that since they had only been open an hour and not busy. Then he said, well they just didn't make it tonight. Ordered mesquite grilled chicken with BBQ "glaze ", crispy potatos and veggie. The chicken was undercooked and pink and the BBQ glaze was hot, spicy sauce all over the entire plate, not just a glaze on the chicken as indicated on menu. Sent it back and opted for beet salad and onion soup which were both delicious. Husband had waygu beef burger, also delicious.

    Soup was delicious. Our server Damon was great. My only complaint is that there was no soap in the bathroom… when we complained they said they put a request in for maintenance. No reason one of the many workers there couldn’t go fill the soap up.

    Nice Thanksgiving spread. Arrived early and was greeted with a window seat to enjoy Yosemite Falls. Food was above average, ambiance just right!

    Salad bar and soup were very tasty. Best part of the $88 fixed price Thanksgiving Day meal. Wait service was mediocre (drinks got watered down while they waited and wine bottle say on bar waiting to be delivered. Also mediocre were the main dishes of acorn squash, cod, and turkey. Brussels sprouts were either mushy or not fully cooked. Pretty place but disappointing holiday meal.

    The soup and salad bar was great! More people in the dining room than previous years and service was slow. Our turkey and sides were served lukewarm. Not sure the meal was worth $88.

    Large and spacious room with attentive waiter. We had the ragu and portabella mushroom burgers. Well presented with delicious fries. Overpriced but you are in Yosemite

    We ate 2 nights in a row and loved the first night with steak and roasted beet salad. Loved both dishes and the potatoes. 2nd night we had lamb shank and polenta, it was ok. Just not outstanding. The servers were attentive and efficient. We loved the room. I would definitely go back.

    Fortunately we were there in between busy times. The room is huge and lots of space between tables. Food was top notch considering our location. Service was friendly and efficient. The only drew back was they they clumped us together close by. I would recommend the place.

    Wonderful dining experience in the heart of Yosemite Valley. We were staying at the Lodge so this restaurant was very convenient. The room and ambience are simple and beautiful. The restaurant staff were friendly and took good care of us. The food was good! We ate there four nights in a row. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was great. The salads were okay (just a little small for me but I am a big salad eater), onion soup was delicious, and we loved the ice cream sundae dessert. Our favorite main dishes were the salmon and pork chops. The trout and lamb were good too. You can make reservations in advance to avoid long waits.

    Our food both nights we ate here has been terrific. The salmon dish is quite generous and lemon Caper sauce a perfect accompaniment. The ribeye tenderloin was tender but cooked over the medium rare I prefer but still quite good and pink inside. Snall lobster Mac and cheese was an adequate portion and the super generous large portion would have been too much. I was still eating the jumbo shrimp cocktail while others were finishing their dinner. Service is outstanding and friendly but not intrusive. Love that water glasses are always filled.

    Good was fine. Pricing was a little high considering this is an Aramark menu. Portions might be a little much, my wife could barely eat half her salmon. That could have been a meal for both of us. Service was great, the bartender (Luke) did a great job mixing my Old Fashion.

    We ate here 3 nights in a row and had every vegetarian item on the menu---stuffed kabocha squash, potato leek soup, portabello mushroom burger, flatbread, brussel sprouts. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced. A vegan dessert would have put us over-the-top. Definitely Yosemite's best food option,

    Originally was able to make a reservation for 8:15pm on Sunday night of our trip. I stopped in around 5:30pm to check if there were any earlier times available. The hostess let me know there was not another opening but that I was “checked in” and they would text if something earlier became available. I received a text message shortly after 6pm letting me know our table was ready! Our sever was delightful. I ordered the house salad and filet mignon. The salad was fresh and nicely dressed and the filet was cooked exactly as I ordered. Seasoned deliciously and came with a tasty side of potatoes and broccolini. Fantastic dining experience!

    Heritage Hiking Club goes to Yosemite 2x a year and we love the Mountain Room. Love the ambiance and location. Good is consistently good. Pricing seems a bit high for what you get, but it never stopped us yet.

    Great experience from the moment I checked in with the two hostesses until I finished my last bite. The openness and windows of the dining room is very relaxing, which sets the mood for a great dining experience. Since it is November and a little slow, I was treated to wonderful and timely service from my server and other folks in the dining room. Had the curry ginger soup that was very good (a little spicy) and the pork chop which was very good…the mushroom sauce was okay, and the delmonico potatoes and broccolini were good. Patty was my server and she was both personable and professional:)

    The food was very disappointing. My wife sent her ribeye steak back because it was extremely over salted. My chicken was ok, but the broccoli was inedible and the potatoes subpar. This was not a fine dining experience. Beautiful ambiance but needs better quality of food.

    We had an amazing dinner. We both got the steak filet and it was cooked to perfection! Our server Shawn was outstanding! We were pleasantly surprised how excellent the food was at a national park. We were definitely happy with the whole evening!

    The ding area was very open so a little loud. Service was okay. I expected more of my pork chop dinner but was left disappointed, especially for the expense. Little choices this time of year.
