We absolutely loved the gigante bean and artichoke dip. One of our favorite appetizers ever. It’s sizable, so definitely recommend sharing. The Korean Style braised tofu is perfectly seasoned and ideal for vegetarians. We also both really enjoyed our cocktails -pumpkin spice White Russian, high camp mule and Mountain Room Manhattan. We are exited to return a second night to dine

I needed to change the reservation at the last moment to add friends, everyone had an outstanding meal, quiet everyone had a great time and didn't have to try to out loud each other, conversation voices, a comfortable diner at "home", our variety of dishes included the chicken, salmon, trout. beet salad, bread baskets, and onion soup. Everything was delicious, can't ask for a better meal, in the middle of Yosemite National Park with great friends.

A reliable place in Yosemite Valley for a great meal with excellent ambiance and service. Caesar salads served with whole sardines. The menu is varied and original and the only the beer choices need improvement.

A Valentine Day Prix Fixe 4 course menu that was a train wreck for us! Price range $62-99 pp. The starter and soup or salad choice was created to use the cheapest ingredients possible: chick pea fritter to start which was fried mush with a dipping sauce. Then choose a red pepper soup or a frisée fennel salad. My salad was gritty so to improper cleaning of lettuce. I sent it back and settled for the soup. Now for the entree. I ordered the chicken and my friend d ordered the 6 oz salmon. It came with green beans that were not cooked enough rams Aztec rice that was of poor quality. I didn’t get the rice but was served something tasteless. We had to push the sides aside. My chicken was of such poor quality in taste and tenderness. The salmon was good. Dessert was a grainy chocolate moose for me and a fruit tart for my friend. All-in all we spent $142.00 with no drinks just water. So disappointing but I figured so. The chef was MIA

Food is better than Ahwahnee but I ordered a steak medium to well done and it came out medium rare. Same thing at the Ahwahnee so I guess the chefs really just don’t know what medium well means: it’s your ring finger whereas medium rare is your index ! Best place to eat in the valley but still not comparably good to outside restaurants

I found it interesting that just being 1 person at the table, I was given a table in the back near the kitchen. I asked to be moved closer to the windows, but was told that they were all taken. A couple who came in after me and seated in the back and asked to be moved was moved to another table. It does seem strange that a single person was not moved, but a couple was.

Wonderful atmosphere and service in a beautiful setting. We had 2 meal experiences. Our fish entree was one of the worst restaurant meals we’ve ever had. Overcooked poorly seasoned and bland. We hesitated going back. The second night we ordered steak and it was delightful. Recommendation: go to this restaurant but avoid the fish entrees at all costs. Order the steak and you will be happy.

We were here in the winter on an off weekend. The place was only half full but it was later than the usual dinner rush time. Service was good. Food was good. My husband had the pork chop and I had the chicken Marsala. Desserts were so-so, not really worth the $11 each. We will eat here again because other than Base Camp and the Ahwahnee dining

Food is generally fine and the waiting staff friendly and welcoming. Manager and receptionist unpolished, out of sync with staff. Though our table was available, they refused to sit us down, telling we would need to wait for “a majority” of our party to arrive. When 3/4 did (within 5 minutes), they still refused to do so, unreasonably raising the demand to 4/4 presence: “restaurant policy”, no further explanation. Lack of courtesy, not adequate for the place.

My wife and I were impressed not only with the excellent service but also the delicious meal. We tried the filet mignon and ribeye. Both tasty and tender to perfection. The drinks were good and our waiter Jeff knew the menu well. His recommendation on the pudding cake desert was a plus. We will definitely be making reservations next time up.

Christmas Day Dinner was wonderful. The service was impeccable, and the food was cooked to perfection. We had the pork chop with mole, Mary’s chicken, and 2 steaks (one med-rare with blue cheese and one medium well cooked as is). We ordered the bean and artichoke dip thinking it would be more of a hummus type spread and did not know it had cream cheese (and did not think to ask), but it was very good as well. The Caesar salad dressing was divine and highly recommend that. For dessert, we had the bread pudding. It may be the best bread pudding we have ever had.
