   We ate at the Mountian Room twice during the week's stay in Yosemite. The food was excellent. We had the Ribeye Steak and the Pan Seared Trout, both were delicious. The view of Yosemite Falls through the large dining room window made the dinner especially special!

   My husband’s Wagu hamburger was delicious, but pretty expensive for a hamburger. My pork chop was over cooked despite my asking the waiter to make sure they did not overcook it. It was dry and tasteless and difficult to cut with a knife. Be prepared to drop at least $100 on dinner for food that is not that special. However, the ambience was very nice and the service was great.

   We had an excellent meal. Started with the French onion soup and enjoyed an entrée of curry chicken served beautifully with multicolored, cauliflower and rice. The offerings on the menu are varied, making it a great spot to come with others. Beautiful views from the windows. Service was very good.

   Service was very good and we felt relaxed, not rushed. It was a treat to ourselves to finish off a week of hiking and cooking for self. Food was hot and cooked properly.

   We are there a few years back and it was an outstanding experience. They are still struggling a bit post pandemic. Pretty sure they sous vide their meat which can be good or off the mark. The pork chop was a touch dry and the tenderloin tasted more like a sirloin...again a touch dry even though it was a perfect med rare. John was a fabulous waiter and we were over-all satisfied.

   I didn’t know what to expect after the other eateries’ cafeteria food so I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, excellent service and good food. I had the trout and my husband had salmon (trout was better). The gentleman pouring and refilling the water was great as we drank a lot to compensate for the dry climate and exercise. We enjoyed the experience enough to make reservations for another night.

    Steak was warm and didn't live up to the $60 price tag. Pork chops were over cooked and dry. Mashed potatoes were cold. Side veggie was about two tablespoons worth of cauliflower. Meh. Bread pudding had way too much salt. All together $250 for three people. Save your money.

    Limited menu but food very food, came two nights in a row and waiter allowed sub salad to avoid same vegetables both nights. Staff very pleasant!

    We ordered the rib eye steak and French onion soup. Both were very good. The waiter was excellent. Our table was in a corner with no view and a draft coming in from the door. I left my purse there after eating. Someone delivered it to my cabin in Curry Village. What a life saver. Would love to thank her but I didn't get to meet her.

    Shout out to a great server,Courtney. We had her twice. She is friendly, sweet, helpful and great service too. The photos and setting are lovely. The food was good except for unusual sides-bamboo rice and yuca. Would not recommend. A little heavy on garlic overall too.

    Beautiful views. Staff was attentive, courteous, prompt. The rice and vegetables were served cold. The chicken breast was plenty cayenne hot but otherwise uninteresting seasoning. Dining there was a nice experience, but it was not because of the food.

    My husband and I were very hungry after hiking all day and the dinner was much needed to refuel ourselves. I had mays chicken breast it was really delicious the different flavor from the chipotle, to sweet grapes on the salad was delightful. My husband had the wagu burger and substitute the sweet potato fries for mash potatoes and it was no problem. He add a colossal shrimp to his meal, it did lack seasoning and perhaps butter but overall good.

    Stunning views of Yosemite Falls in a little oasis within Yosemite Valley. Excellent place for finer dining within the valley after a day’s long hike. Great food for the value and a cozy mountain ambiance.

    Serving portions were good. Filet was tasty and tender. Ribeye Tenderloin was lacking flavor but cooked perfectly as ordered. The vegetables were minimal which was good because they did not add anything to the meal which was a shame. The potatoes were OK, not much flavor but with a little effort could have added alot to the meal. No bread/dinner rolls come with the meal which is a same. (The bread is considered and extra and has to be ordered as an appetizer!) Overall the meal was fair to good. Price was on the high side for the overall flavor of the meal. The ambiance was excellent. We were seated near the windows so the setting was Gorgeous for a meal. The service of the waitress and staff were excellent, they kept my water glass filled, which in my case was quite often. Would go back but would probably not order the tenderloin.

    The management and servers were so hospitable. Our food was delicious (most had filet mignon). We were given the best table in the house in front of the huge picture windows and a beautiful view of Yosemite falls. Doesn’t get better than that.

    The food was very good and the view was great but the restaurant failed to make us feel special. They knew it was a special event for us and didn't even say congrats or mention it. It felt strange to mention a special event, call to confirm, and then no one say congratulations or anything. The staff seemed to care less about us or to engage. However, the food and drinks were very good.

    Very lovely setting. Nice people. Waiter seemed distracted. Food just Ok. 8pm reservation. Seated 8:30. Very busy. Value not great but its a national park hotel restaurant. But a side salad for $11? Average entree 30-75 with high-end steak being the top. All in all, worth a visit

    We are in Yosemite with an amazing view of the falls. 5 stars for that. We wanted to change tables for a better view and staff was very accommodating. 5 star. The food overall was 3 star. Steak was good but the Mary’s chicken was dry. Mashed potato’s tasted boxed. And veggies dry. Maybe it was an off night but from the other reviews it seems improvements can be made.

    With the Awahnee main dining room still closed for renovations the Mountain Room is the place to sit down for a nice dinner. It’s hard to beat the location and setting. The foods always consistent and fairly priced for where it is located. Our waiter John did an excellent job serving us even though a very large tour group showed up late.

    I had the chicken and my girlfriend had the salmon. We both enjoyed our meals while we soaked in the view of Upper Yosemite Falls. The Mountain Room is our go to place when we are in the valley. Alex provided amazing service!!
