    First time eating here and can’t wait to come back! Val our server was so attentive and helped our indecisiveness crew pick delicious meals. We all loved our different meals and the service was amazing. Great way to end a busy day of hiking and exploring!

    First time we had fine dining in Yosemite! We ordered the ribeye with a chimichurri and the demi-glaze sauce on the side. The steak was perfectly cooked and it did not need no sauce, but sure complemented a bite if you used it! We shared a strawberry salad for starters, and that was delightful! And my honey had the wagyu bacon cheeseburger, it was fancy to order and to bite into!!! Super delicious! They gave us super cold fries, but they brought super hot ones to fix this problem. We were impressed to have such a fine dining experience in Yosemite. Oh! The Vanilla CREME BRULEE was best in da world that Ive had. Texture, flavor, carmelization, all perfect! Yummies! Highly recommend the Mountain Room Restaurant at Yosemite Valley Lodge! Pass up Base Camp Eatery and its behind it!!

    A beautiful room and wonderful food and service. The French onion soup very good, the salmon was excellent and the filet mignon was cooked perfectly. It was the perfect way to end a three night stay in Yosemite with two couples traveling together!

    Our was for 7:30 and we were not seated until almost 8. It was very hot in the dining room even though it was cool outside. Service seemed very distracted and slow. We cancelled our reservation for the next night.

    Went for my birthday while visiting my son. Great food! Ribeye was just what I was wishing for. Flourless chocolate torte was huge! A nice calm setting for after a busy day too.

    The toilet needs to be upgraded, it is much too low. The water closet door needs to open and close completely, not jam into the toilet.

    The atmosphere was lovely. The food was not good, except for the desserts; I had cheesecake and my husband had a sundae. The dinners were very disappointing though; and we enjoy all types of food. My husband had a lamb special and I had Mary’s chicken; neither of them were good. The portions are small also, so it’s very low value for the food. The location was wonderful though; we had a beautiful view of Yosemite Falls, and the lighting in the restaurant created a lovely ambiance. They just need a better cook and/or a better menu.

    We made reservations for a window seat and received the perfect table with a great view of the falls. Table service was prompt and very professional. The food was perfect. The drink list was a bit limited but expected in the park. We were lucky to get the best table at a time when everyone eating that night were adults and well behaved.

    Excellent dinner for our last night in Yosemite. French Onion soup was delicious. My wife had the 8oz ribeye which the first one was over cooked but they quickly replaced it with medium rare. I had the pork chop which was good but a little dry. Fabulous service and ambiance.

    I had put on the reservation that it was my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. As we put in our desert orders we asked the Waitress to take our pic as we were celebrating the anniversary. She said I wish you would’ve told me, we would’ve given you a free dessert.  Strange statement as she had not even walked away from the table to put our dessert orders in.  No big deal as I never expect anything for free. Just the timing of the statement was very odd and no recognition of the Anniversary, even though the reservation stated it weeks in advance.

    It’s a lovely setting if you don’t get seated right next to the door, as we were. Of course, can’t be helped, but it is distracting to watch everyone walk in and out. Food was so so. A $6.50 basket of bread included four rolls, all the same. The house-blended butter was very tasty but barely enough for four white rolls. My trout was delicious; my husband’s chicken breast was barely edible, or so he said when he left half uneaten. Rice was blah, and green beans quite ordinary. We canceled our reservation for the following night.

    Everything was just great. The soup, oyster mushroom and rice , was so good. The broth was perfect, the rice had the right crunch, and the mushrooms so tender. The watermelon radish green salad was also great. We had a filet and a ribeye, both delicious. The chocolate tort dessert was just a great gooey inside and nice crisp chocolate outside. All really good, I was impressed and pleased.

    Food was amazing and at a good price point. Service was not the best, they forgot the fries and some sauces. They also took about 20 minutes after seating us to come take our order and they weren’t busy as there were many empty tables. We had a birthday at the table and they also didn’t acknowledge that even though I put it on the reservation.

    The food was very delicious and the service perfect. I tried tofu for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how good the dish tasted. We all enjoyed our meals. We ordered the wagyu burger, the trout , and the fillet for our other meals. We ended the meal with cheesecake with berries and the best vanilla sundae ever. Give this place a try. P.S. It was dark when we arrived for our reservation so the view wasn’t available but we knew it was there just right outside the window.

    This was the first time we ate here. The view wasn't as spectacular as I hoped, mostly due to the trees blocking the view of the Yosemite Falls. But hard to fault them for too many trees! The food was surprisingly good. I had the filet and it was excellent. My wife had a salad and enjoyed it. The service was very good. All in all, a good experience.

    Good, not great. Expensive for the quality. $150 for two. Small steak, trout, onion soup, 2 beers and desert. Enjoyed dinner but cancelled reservation for a few days later.

    Food was very good. Surprised not to see any buffalo or elk on the menu. there are only about 2-3 tables that can actually see the waterfall from the restaurant dining floor.

    Although I never order steak when out , I did this evening. BEST steak I've had in many years ( with bleu cheese, onion sauce ) Perfectly prepared and great cut of beef. My spouse had the trout which was also very good.

    We were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance and meals! The experience far surpassed any that we’ve had in a national park, and was similar to that of a fine dining restaurant in a city. This is hands-down the best place to eat if you want a relaxing environment and have high-standards for food.

    Had the 8 oz ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables which were the green beans. Also had a glass of the acrobat Pinot noir. The ribeye was nicely seasoned and matched my order of medium rare. Meat had a nice crusting and grill marks. The cut of meat unfortunately had a line of gristle running through the center that was inedible- I just cut around it and was still able to eat about 90% of the steak. I didn’t mention it. Garlic mash and green beans were good! The wine was good! The waiter worked hard to deliver an upscale dining experience- he could relax and enjoy a little I think 😊
