Simply amazing. Probably the best in the London scene at the moment. Delicious food and great vibe. It feels a Michelin star experience with really affordable prices. The duck and the dumplings are a must try.
Service seemed a bit disconnected, we got asked the same thing multiple times by many different servers - however all were very friendly. Music was too loud for a restaurant (table was large so we were far apart and found it difficult to hear each other at times) but the food was great and it was good value for the price.
The hole concept was perfect!
The staff with a synergy that makes You feel welcome and important from the besinning untill You leave.
The food, beautiful for the eye and with perfect taste. Everything was Fantastic.
The somalier that recomended the wine with her knowledge and the birthday Cake to my husband was wonderful.
Will be back next time in London!
Everything perfect, in my opinion small portion and really pricey. £150 for 3 dishes 1 dessert to share and the cheapest bottle of wine, let's say in London you will consider to go back in there.
Outstanding Service and Amazing location
One of the best set lunches we've had in ages. Every dish was delicious, quality of ingredients, cooking and presentation faultless and the service excellent. Thanks very much Michael for the great recommendations - looking forward to our next visit
After eating in the restaurant we then decided to go for drinks in the bar, a very tall female member of staff was stood at the entrance to bar and decided to question us, we mentioned we had just eaten in the restaurant and there were only 2 of us (myself and my girlfriend). She made out as though she was doing us a favour when she let us through, it was just gone 10pm and we were not very impressed with her at all. Apart from her it was a great night and all the other staff were very courteous, I enjoyed celebrating my birthday there.
Love the unique ambience, the service is professional, relaxed and welcoming.
The food is delicious albeit a couple of our choice didn’t agree with our palate.
Will definitely be returning
We had dinner at Serge with friends - outstanding!!! Excellent food, warm and friendly service and an electric ambience.
Delicious food - the octopus was seriously yummy, as was the aubergine. Friendly staff and a funky scene. Happily recommend to friends and foodies alike.
This is a hidden gem within Fitzrovia, so much so that you may walk past it on the street, like I did. Once you discover Serge though it's a stunning hotel with restaurant and terrace.
Super innovative, incredibly delicious offerings! We were blown away by the creative and scrumptious food and the amazing service. Easily a standout in London’s vibrant food scene!
I don’t normally write reviews but I felt Serge deserved one, the food was divine. Not huge portions, so be prepared to dig deep for a number of pricey dishes but not wild money for central London. The wine was delicious too, although I would recommend they have an aperitif menu, but the classive aperitifs we ordered (dirty gin martini, classic champagne cocktail, old fashioned and champagne by the glass) were prepared and brought to our table in a timely fashion and hit the right note. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were the correct balance of attentive but not in your face. I’d definitely recommend.
Wine list and service can be improved. Super ambiance and creative/good tapas.
Lovely new hotel resturant , friendly staff and good cocktails
The atmosphere in the restaurant is very lively. The food is good to excellent. The system of the sharing player sound be better explained before ordering. A bit more light on the tables would also help to appreciate the food.
Good value for money though.
We booked Serge for my husbands birthday dinner. We had not been before and were rather excited at the prospect, as it looked amazing and unusual. Well, we were not disappointed. We were treated like royalty from start to finish and by staff who obviously enjoy and take pride in what they are doing. The food was off the clock and all beautifully presented in an unfussy way. Whether it was artichoke salad, yellow fin tuna or divine scallops it was all spot on and always with a little interesting twist. The cocktails were tempting and the wine list made up of wines which obviously were chosen specifically to match the food. A lot of thought has gone into this place and we cannot wait for our next treat there.
Second visit and booking my third. Excellent food and lovely bar for after dinnner drinks.
Amazing food & wine, good service and great vibe.
Vegetarian options were good however some dishes like the cauliflower was bland. Presentation should be better too especially for the price you pay.
Some waiters were not aware about all the dishes so better training should be provided.
All waiters not aware about the fins on offer.
This superb restaurant offers a multifaceted choice of beautifully prepared and presented sharing plates which are delicious. Quirky but very cleverly furnished interior provides a relaxed environment with many layers of mirror and glass reflection to enhance the atmosphere.
Food was pretty good - french/italian/spanish-based small plates. However, service is pretty terrible - lot of waitsaff, but little coordination e.g. multiple waiters ask you the same question. Also, beware if you try and go off piste and order a traditional three courses - they don’t get this and are liable to bring everything at once. Wine list value is pretty terrible - London is bad, but this restaurant really goes for high markups. Alcase cremant probably best value. Oh, and the ambiance feels really dated 80’s loadsofmoney
Very cool vibe, great food and drinks
Bit of a scene
Nice selection of food, good for sharing.
Very small, basic tasting dishes not worth it.
Also, the sommelier was not helpful when he discovered we wanted wine by the glass and not bottle.
It's a shame as we wanted to match it with the different dishes ….
Nice trendy bar though with great cocktails
Poor service, poor food and wine menu knowledge, slow service staff uninterested in creating the ambiance and the bar is quite poor, in service and options.
The food portions for the price paid was not great. It was a one time experience I wouldn't go there again.
The food is delicious but the service was very slow. The staff were very friendly but seemed no-one was in charge?
Superb service and ambiance, creative cocktails, small yet delicious dishes, brilliant soundtrack by a live dj every night.
Service spot on, great food for a good value. Highly recommended!
Excellent food (but order plenty!) accompanied by great music ...fun lively vibe but doesn’t detract from the amazing quality of the food.
Food is tapas style portions but delicious. Fairly good value.
Overall disappointing - all party found lunch menu food portions very small and no warning beforehand on ordering so that side plates could be have been added to the order
We know Serge from Hong Kong and already have a special love and attachment to it. The London version is similarly special and wonderful. And Siri made it as wonderful as ever. Highly recommend it.
Arrived at 7:30 and only one other table sitting, but by 10:00 the place was full. Menu consists of fairly expensive but imaginative dishes that, we were told, are designed for sharing. It is, however, difficult to share one Bruschetta when there are 4 of you! The food was lovely, the problem was that for 4 of us we needed 2 of each dish. This wasn't explained by the waiter so we ended up having just one or two mouthfuls of each dish, spending around £450 for the privilege and not feeling really satisfied (although there were lots of stick thin trendies there who would have felt full!). So, if its just for 2 then you could have an intimate nibble (the Hake and Lobster were excellent), but there are better places for 2 couples with an appetite larger than a humminbird.
I went on a dinner date at Serge et le phoque and we were unlucky: an event was organised that evening, some kind of runway from an avant-garde stylist. There were more people attending the event than people in the restaurant, the noise was quite high so we had to shout to talk to each other.
To top this, I was really impressed by the price of the food. It is good, don't get me wrong, but not worth the price you pay. We ended up paying about £120 for 2 people with one glass of wine and very small portions of relatively good food.
I have to say I was not impressed and I won't go back. A shame because the service was impeccable!
A nice place with amazing food, a very attentive and pleasant stuff .
The table was not ready when we arrived, so we sat in the bar. No one came for us, so we had to chase up our table. We were sat at our table for 30 minutes, no waiting staff came. We had to flag someone over to order a drink. 45 minutes and we had a drink. At 60 minutes our order was taken.
Not a great experience. The food is of tapas style and is cooked perfectly. It is very expensive though.
So, on this occasion the service let the place down.
Excellent food with some innovative twists. Lunch menu at £22 for two courses was excellent value. Grilled octopus on Greek salad and boneless duck leg confit were both sublime
Dreadful. Terrible service. Music too loud and bizarre for restaurant. Lights to bright and then too low. Food not value for money.
Won't be going again
