   Going to Yono’s is always a dining experience. The most recent dinner was a fundraiser for the Jacques Pepin Foundation. The dinner was prix fixe with wine pairings. This was an evening that the kitchen was truly singing and the wine pairings were classic and spot on. No matter when you go to Yono’s you will walk away sated and smiling.

   Wonderful fine dining experience in Albany. Servers were knowledgeable, friendly, and go the extra mile to enhance the experience. Thanks so much!!

   Caesar salad unexpectedly was hot and spicy and consisted of two thin spires of Romaine lettuce festooned with a sauce that was so full of peppery spice that it was inedible. The duck that I had was decorative but scanty, and came with 3 split brussel sprouts. My partner asked for well cooked scallops. She received three and the accompanying Polenta was also incredibly spicy and inedible. The champagne by the glass was meagerly poured until we objected.. As a result my partner had to send hers back and so that we could make it to the symphony she ended up missing her supper.

   We went for the whiskey tasting dinner and it was a wonderful experience! The food was incredible as always and service top notch. It was a little louder than usual in there but I think everyone was having a good time sampling the whiskeys and asking questions. Yonos is always a must go!

   Seated us with another party at the same table. They were excellent dinner guests but were off put by the double seating as well. I would’ve rather have gone for a regular dinner than for the whiskey tasting. Thought the whiskey tasting would’ve been a fun addition to the night but I think it took away from experience we were looking for. Again, no where in the description was it mentioned that we would be seated with other couples especially since this was supposed to be a date night. Dinner was very subpar for the price paid. Main course was not great. Extremely fatty brisket, lean parts were dry and the beans were very undercooked and by the looks of everyone’s plates around us they agreed. Might come back again just not sure. Left with more complaints than compliments.

   They did everything to make my Wife’s 50th Birthday super special… Service was amazing as was the food… Definitely a place you want to go to celebrate and make a memory..

   food and presentation was great - but the wine service and pairing was the standout. Complemented the food really well and was a great value. Staff seemed very excited to serve. Made for a great valnetines day.

    Overall, the bill was excellent. The ambience was incredible. The service was well developed and executed outstandingly. The only problem was it was Valentine’s Day and they did not have enough staff. We ended up waiting a half an hour for food and it was so unacceptable. I was gonna get dessert, but then I was just like it’s time to go and they asked me if I wanted to go, but I was just ready to be gone from that place but overall I had a wonderful time. I just wish the wait staff had more staff on being that it was Valentine’s Day.
