   Excellent all around, will definitely come back. We have lived on island for over 3 years and it’s very hard to find quality sushi restaurants. This one was a hit. The space is small and very cool. There were some larger parties that were extremely loud so it was a bit of a miss on overall vibe, but that’s not at all the fault of the restaurant - just inconsiderate patrons.

   I made a reservation through the Open Table app. I arrived around 8:10 p.m. for an 8:30 p.m. reservation. It was raining outside, so I knocked on the door and the Host asked if we had a reservation. We confirmed, and they told us to wait to see if we could be seated at the bar for drinks and Later, they will switch us to a table. We agreed. The host closed the door and made us wait outside for about 10 minutes, without any response or follow-up. When some customers left the restaurant, I could see that there were two tables available and the bar was completely empty. But the host didn’t do anything. Later, the chef and owner, Melendez, came walking from outside the restaurant and asked if someone was helping us. He came inside the restaurant (there were still two tables available and the bar) and we were still waiting outside. Finally, another host came to receive us and welcome us around 8:35 p.m.ish. He assigned one of the empty tables to us (we had been waiting for 20 minutes or more). The host and servers need to be more proactive. This is an upscale restaurant, and the service should be accordingly. The entrees and selection weren’t as good as I had expected because of the restaurant’s reputation. The room or salon needs acoustic treatment for the echo and noise control, especially when people are talking loudly. In a small space (8 tables restaurant) environment, this can be uncomfortable. Hope this review helps to improve the service.

   Great restaurant, good food, and amazing service...just not a WOW experience as I expected, since we had to reserve with 3 weeks in advance.

   Seems like recession hit this place. Big change from the first time I went to now when it comes to sushi roll portions. The waitress kept putting the food at the middle of the table when we each order our own stuff and was not meant to be shared. Never refilled my glass of water and only gave us one ponzu sauce ramekin for 3 people so we all had to dip our sushi in the same bowl which is kind of disgusting. Flavor was decent. Used to be very good, not so much now.

   I am a regular customer. My last visit was disappointing. Service was as good as the waiters could offer, but the kitchen had issues. Food took a long time between plates and they came in random order. Not what we expected. I guess next time will be more of the usual impeccable experience.

    Food is always great but the service has gone downhill the last two times I’ve gone. I’m talking 30 min to get a bottle of sake and Diet Coke. Having to remind severs several times of stuff we are waiting on. 5 servers standing at the bar and no one bringing anything. Not to mention we were sat 40 min after our reservation time and no apology. It’s too bad this place used to be one of my top sushi places but the service and wait time stops me from booking again soon.
