   It was very expensive. The udon bowl was tasteless until you put one of their add-on sauces in there, which you had to pay for. $16.50 for this. It is the only option for vegetarians on the “mains” list. My husband ordered the fried chicken which was almost black and it had been fried in so much oil that he had to peel away the many layers to get to the chicken. He opted for it without a sauce to see how it was on its own but when he realized it actually needed it and asked for a side of the sauce, he was charged for it. Why do they serve overpriced bland food but make you pay extra to have any flavor? The service was fair. It was not very busy but the server did not really keep an eye on us or look for cues that we were trying to get their attention. Everything felt rushed and was poorly timed. My udon bowl came out within 5 minutes of ordering and my husband’s food arrived much later so he was sitting there with no food. The same thing happened with the dessert. We waited for quite awhile for the bill when we were ready to leave. The credit card machine suggests 22% as the starting tip for the service. The desserts were delicious and the restaurant itself is very pretty. The music was great. However, the cost, service, and quality were not what we were expecting. We had reservations with some friends for a few weeks out but canceled them.

   My spouse and I had a great experience. Every dish was delicious. We ordered the Korean fried chicken, cheesy rice noodles, cucumber ginger salad and the katsu & pork belly bao. Cheesy rice noodles gave my a Mac & cheese vibe with a kick. My husband’s favorite was the pork belly bao. For dessert we had the donuts with sesame ice cream. We are looking forward to returning. Fantastic food and excellent service. Great place for a date night.

   Great small restaurant. Food was great. Drinks and service was also good and quick as well. Will be back!

   We tried a number of dishes. Avoid the Brussels sprouts. The cucumber and corn salads were great! The KFC is good and the Nashville hot is not too spicy. Drinks were delicious, but were slow to get to the table. The music was loud (too loud for my liking) and the seats were uncomfortable if you’re going to be there longer than an hour or so. Overall, it was a decent first experience. I’m not sure I’d drive 30 minutes, again, to go there as there’s little that stands out. If you’re looking to try something new and like Asian fusion cuisine; go for it - at least once.

   Let me begin by saying that the service was A1… top tier! I attended the Summer of Seafood & Sake event. I opted to include the caviar, sake pairing and Japanese wine pairing. When I tell you that neither pairing disappointed, I honestly mean it. The hostess was extremely knowledgeable and well versed in the history of each dish , as well as the complemented spirit. The food was amazing, drinks stiff … definitely a summer vibe and amazing cultural experience . 20/10!

    Four of us had a wonderful evening at Yokai! Every course of the special Seafood and Sake dinner was delicious and the halibut may have been the best piece of fish I have eaten in Greensboro. It was amazing. We also included the sake pairings and I am glad we did as they beautifully complemented each course. We will look forward to participating in more special dinners in the future.
