Top of the line in all aspects! Was a little harder having a party of 6 being as you are at a chef’s table but food was out standing. Chef takes time to explain everything as well. Practiced social distancing which was nice. Will return
A unique dining experience like no other for foodies with adventurous and refined palates.
The most delicious omakase in New Orleans using Japanese ingredients with a local and southern twist that truly represents the wonderfully blended New Orleans culutre!
Food is beyond excellent! And plenty of time between courses-never felt rushed and never too long in between. 10/10 recommend. I can’t wait to go back!
The food for the price was not equal! The nigiri was amazing but the was only 2/10 courses. Two soups that was mediocre, quail that was ok, and broiled oysters were fine. Nothing outstanding except the fish. Since they are considered a Japanese restaurant I would recommend sticking with the seafood. We did the sake pairings that were ok but again, not worth the extra fee...
Amazing blend of NOLA food with a Japanese influence.
Food was very good and inventive. If you were expecting much Japanese food per se you would be disappointed but imagine Restaurant August crossed with a Japanese flair. Very peaceful meal with prices after drinks and tax definitely on the high side.
One of the best diners I've ever had. Every course was somehow better than the last and the cocktails were fantastic. A wonderful experience!
This place was extraordinary. The food was so good, the staff was so accommodating, and the atmosphere was so fun. These guys went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We enjoyed Tuna, Salmon, Duck, Red Snapper, and I think Red Fish. I really cannot remember, there were so many things being brought to us every few minutes. The Chef, hand prepared every item, brought them to us and gave us all the details about each. We had SO Much fun here. We highly recommend these guys!
So overpriced and not worth it. You do not get your money’s worth for what you’re getting. Portions are super small. It’s literally a joke. The only thing I will say though is that the staff is polite and the pumpkin soup was delicious. Other than that, I’d say that you’re better off going to any other fancy restaurant in the city and getting so much more bang for your buck. I understand the concept of okasake, but I still think there should be more price-friendly options and variety for the meals being served. My first and last time there.
This is a Perfect Date place and I would highly recommend to book the whole place for an intimate party! The chef was knowledgeable, accommodative and friendly and the service was great due to the intimate setting. Food flavors were spot on and the variety and preparation was spot on - we will be going back and have been telling all our friends. 6 stars if I could give it.
It was divine.
Period, end of sentence.
Simply Amazing!!! Very complex flavors that honor each ingredient and component. Will definitely be going back soon!
This was my second visit and yet again everything was marvelous! Hands down- one of the best foodie fine dining experiences in New Orleans. Besides the sashimi with foie gras on it, the acorn squash soup was not your socks off good
Amazing food, amazing service! Hubby left still hungry though due to smallish portions. Definitely recommend for a special night out, but it’s a splurge at the price point.
I would highly recommend this restaurant. Everything was spot on. My husband and I dined here for our anniversary, and it was indeed a very special and memorable meal. The food was delicious. The amount of care and creativity that goes into the food really shows in the way each course is explained. The service was warm and friendly. Thanks Yo Nashi for a lovely evening.
Absolutely fantastic service and food. Sad that it opened during the pandemic as this place should be flooded with business. Don't sleep on it.
Quality ingredients, fantastic service, SMALL portions for the cost (we ended up getting takeout afterwards). We were thinking that we’d be allowed to order more before dessert was served, which we weren’t, which was odd for omakase. If I do go back, I’ll order double the nigiri course.
This is my first experience with Omakase and we went for my birthday. The appetizers were especially delicious and my favorite part of the whole experience. The nigiri tasted fresh and tasty. And the entree and dessert was a great end. Highly recommend. Service was phenomenal.
This meal was the top five I have ever had!
The most refined meal we have had in New Orleans in a very long time. Wonderful staff, amazing combination of flavors and a jewel box of a space. Well worth it!!
This place is amazing. Just incredible from the first steps in to the end of service. Perfectly executed in every way. Everyone needs to get here before it’s impossible to book. Great addition to New Orleans culinary scene .
What an experience! Every course was amazing!
Another excellent meal!!
Best in Nola!! Thank you ❤️
My new favorite restaurant!!! Absolute perfection! Cannot wait to return -so special!!!
It was delicious!! I am a vegetarian and chef made a very delicious vegetarian meal 🙏🏼
My boyfriend loved it so much that we are
Going back on Friday again!
Food was delicious and service is exceptional. Just not a lot of food which was fine with me. However, my college sons made something to eat when they got back home.
Food is incredible, but not filling. If you go on an empty stomach you'll be craving more.
Outstanding. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the Japanese whiskeys and liqueurs that were offered and showcased on bar. I really enjoyed the chef's offerings. Everything was delicious and I enjoyed it so much that I made reservations again for another night right after leaving.
Very thoughtful and well curated omakase dinner! The drinks were wonderful as well.
Everything was so perfectly done!! Can’t wait to go back!
One of the most enjoyable meals we have had in a long time. The food presentation and service were both meticulous and relaxing. Brilliant flavor compositions and outstanding wine/sake pairings. A true gem!
Phenomenal! I never write reviews but this place was that good. I also never take pictures of food and this is the first time I regret that as I cannot do this food justice. Every dish is a feast for the senses from the beautiful presentation, interesting composition and delicious and fresh tastes. We were all pescatarians and the chef accommodated our request. It's also a ton of food and we could have easily done with 1 less course. Service was excellent and attentive. They're doing an amazing job with distancing as there are a few empty seats between parties. The design and decor and even the dishes are modern and lovely.
My new favorite restaurant in New Orleans!
You sit at a sushi bar. There are 2 empty seats between parties. Service is outstanding. Food is impeccable. Amazing sushi!!!
Everything was amazing. Service, food, ambiance. Do not pass this place up if you’re a foodie. If you’re a control freak, or picky eater, don’t go. Just go with the flow and trust chef Mack. A group came in behind us and when he asked about food allergies or preferences they said someone in their party didn’t like any raw food...um why did you come to an Omakase restaurant! Duh! But chef hooked them up...unbelievable! Amazing all around.
Absolutely one of the most delicious tasting menus. Great mix of Japanese and New Orleans flavors.
Great experience. Great food and cocktails. Just wonder how often the menu changes. Not for just a casual quick dinner. More of an experience.
The food is pretty good. However, knowing you are going to an ohmakase, I would expect more raw fish. For the price, there are others in the city that you get your money worth. I suggest when they give you the sushi, they give you two pieces instead on one. When you only have one, you barely get the flavor and then it’s over. I also would suggest less cooked items as we went for the experience of the flavors of raw fish etc. don’t get me wrong, it’s very good but different than what was expected when comparing to other similar places.

Yes, you can generally book this restaurant by choosing the date, time and party size on OpenTable. Due to local restrictions, this restaurant may not be accepting reservations at the moment.
