It may not be new or cool anymore, but we’ve always loved this East Village Latin establishment.
They're closed until Spring 2018. I made this reservation, showed up, and saw the sign letting me know.
We came in to Yerba Buena for a fun weekend brunch and it did not disappoint!! Great unlimited brunch drink deal ($16 dollars for fun brunch cocktails). Delicious Latin inspired brunch food with an appropriate price point. Wonderful service-- they definitely wanted us to have a good time and kept the drinks and smiles coming. There was a fun youthful crowd and good Latin pop/hip hop music playing but it didn't have an aggressive 'brunch club' vibe. They're moving locations but I hope they keep this same menu and staff-- we left saying that Yerba Buena is our new classic brunch spot for when our group of friends is all in town.
The botanas were amazing, but the dinners were disappointing. My husband's short ribs came on a bed of grape tomatoes--impossible to cut. The shrimp in my chaufa was so fishy--not at all fresh. Drinks were good.
I believe we had a new waiter at the section we had been seated. He was very nice but still a bit unfamiliar with the menu but the staff assisted him with providing us great service and making us feel very comfortable. The food was delicious, drinks were full of flavor with the right mix of liquor. I definitely would go again. Highly recommended for a nice date night!
Brought my mom here for post thanksgiving brunch! Always a great time!
A must when we visit NYC! Love the service and food is exceptional.
The experience was overall amazing. The food and service was great.
Servizio premuroso, buon cibo, locale molto caldo.
Rumoroso ma è il tipo di locale.
Food was amazing, but it's such a small restaurant. I recommend making a reservation. Don't expect it to be too comfortable.
Drinks were okay, I had the pisco punch, but it was alright. I
The food was great. The table we were seated at was under a speaker. Our waiter could not great us and messed up our orders 3 times. Also, the wait staff hovers a bit too much. With that said, I would go back anytime...Just wouldn't sit at that table.
Awesome food, amazing drinks, and the staff is very friendly and easy going. All around a great time for a start to a night out.
Fantastic food with a great vibe. The food is very modern, clean and really flavorful. Try the Sangria it is wonderful.
As always a special experience, amazing service and atmosphere, excellent food, drinks and wine.
Had a really great experience . Food was amazing and our host was incredible and very accommodating. Will come back soon!
This place is a really fun joint on the lower east side. As soon as I walked in, I got a warm feeling of the space. The staff was friendly and let me tell you, the drinks were s-t-r-o-n-g. Order the Yerba Mate Cocktail. It's herbal, slightly sweet, and well balanced. Something I could have continuously sipped on all night. But I didn't because after I got up from one I realized how strong it was. The food was delicious as well. I had the carnitas which is served with a nice amount of tortillas. My friends had the steak which, to their words, "was cooked almost too perfectly". Bottom line, try this place out. It's small, but it's fun.
Great time everytime. A little louder than usual on weekends though but the food does not dissapoint.
Great food and great service at a reasonable price. Good wine choices. One course did arrive a little cold. But it was still mighty tasty. And I'd still go back. There a few restaurants in Manhattan I've hit more than once or twice because there are so many. But Yerba Buena is one.
Nice place for Latin food. Appetizers and ceviche are very good. Nice drink selection and the service was great. Plan to return soon.
Great place for a date night or dinner. I was surprised how quiet and cozy it was (but maybe we just got lucky) the cocktails were sublime and the food really tasty. Chips and guac are great, totally worth the hype. Our server have great attitude and knowledge about the food and cocktail menu.
Came on a Thursday evening and was surprised at how quiet it was since it always seemed packed on days I've walked by. Sat at the bar for dinner even though we had made reservations. The bartender was nice but not super attentive. We ordered the gin and jalepeño cocktail which tasted really fresh and had a strong, hot kick to it. The food was also good. Shared the salmon ceviche which was more like a carpaccio, but had a great flavor. We both ordered the cod with Peruvian corn which was also good. It was flakey with a nice crisp skin. The corn was a bit greasy but not too bad. One man who I think was the general manager came over twice to ask if we enjoyed everything. Overall the experience was good. It was a nice place to check out but it probably won't be a place I go regularly.
Super cool spot when in Condado, San Juan for Cuban cuisine.
We were greeted very kindly and warmly by the manager, and the entire staff couldn't have been nicer - service was outstanding. The food was also very tasty and plentiful (we had paella - very good! and scallops w/pork belly - very good!). You must also have the watermelon fries - nothing like them anywhere.
The entire experience was excellent.
No name outside of the restaurant, which made it hard to find. Their pineapple juice was purple. Had to raise my hand to get attention from my server after sitting there unattended to for over 20 minutes. The food was good though
Everything was great. From the service to the food we couldn't have asked for a better place for a nice date night. We will definitely be back... and often.
Spectacular meal. Hamachi ceviche, smoked brisket tacos and the empanadas were all standouts. Great place to share small plates. Excellent choice of cocktails and charming, attentive service.
Food was great service was great. Though there was a sudden leak above my boyfriend and we were there celebrating his birthday and his nice dress shirt got all wet on his back. Who knows where that water came from...
Took amazing care of us on my b day
This is my favorite brunch place. Bottomless has very good cocktails and great food.
Amazing food, extremely attentive staff, intimate space - the perfect neighborhood Latin place
Great food and staff
Good service, and the bar atender was very friendly.
Great place to eat. Had brunch and was very impressed. Service was great and the food was excellent. Plan to return soon.
Great date spot
The food was exceptional and innovative, the service was exceptional and the staff was very friendly and helpful. A must try.
This is a fun very authentic neighborhood place with really good food. The Pisco sours were great. We couldn't help ourselves and order the Parilla meat dish for two. It could have fed four but was very good. The place is cozy in a very nice way. We will definitely be back.
Went for the unlimited drinks brunch - one of my favorite places to do so. Always great service and very reticent to leave glasses empty.
Excellent every time. They consistently remember their repeat patrons. Cocktails and cuisine are always solid.
The service was great, the food was not what I was expecting. I've visited their other location in the past and their food and drinks were amazing. I am disappointed.
Wonderful brunch with the best power hour of bottomless cocktails!
This is our go to place. Wish i could eat here everyday.
