Yellow Door Taqueria - South End

The food was a bit mediocre than I remember it being however full disclosure this was my first time at this location. I think it was because their was almost too much meat (duck & chicken tinga tacos) that took away from the other flavors. I would return for guac portion and drinks.

It’s was my girlfriends birthday, and we had the best time!! They brought her out dessert for her birthday and our food was INCREDIBLE. THANK YOU!!

Great food and drinks were amzing

Waitstaff was attentive, kind and excellent. Outdoor dining experience was great! Really nice heat lamps. We really appreciate how hard the staff were working to make sure we had a great time even with the many restrictions and regulations that are necessary to keep us all safe.

Sat us right next to another table even though there was 0 people in the restaurant. Very bizarre especially given the covid guidelines, but apparently it’s ok bc they have glass separators... so 6ft rule doesn’t count?

Great experience! Top 5 best espresso martinis I’ve had in Boston!! Awesome nachos and chicken tacos. Didn’t love the cauliflower taco. Will def be coming back soon.

The food was simply not good. They increased the prices and downgraded the flavor and quality. I loved the Dorchester location and I’m sad to say this will be my LAST yellow door experience :(

Food and drinks are solid, but nothing outstanding. The service was on point and the ambiance was good. 4/5 in my opinion.

Drinks are great, the coconut margarita was delicious. The scallop taco was amazing.

The coconut margaritas are so good! The inside of restaurant is very covid safe with plexiglass up between all tables. The food is very fresh and has very creative menu. It is very lively but could be considered too loud if you were looking for quite. Definitely will be going back.

The food was very good. However, the service was poor.

The tacos really stink. Second time I’ve been here, the duck tacos were so dry, they weren’t edible. Cauliflower taco was edible but nothing special like it is at Bar Taco. Sides were great like the Mexican corn which absolutely delicious, chips were nice and salty and the guacamole was good. Margaritas were awesome, both spicy and regular, very fresh and refreshing. Service was phenomenal but it’s a shame the tacos stink. Won’t be coming back as there are other tacos joints that was far superior for the same price.

Not the greatest food for the price. $140 for guac, the street corn and 6 tacos. The tacos weren’t the best and very small. The guac was ok...wish the chips were warm. Best taco was the Scallop Frito. The daily fish was strange with a purée almost like baby food and the Baja fish was WAY too charred. Probably wouldn’t go back. Had pink taco earlier in the summer and thought it was way better. Service was good though and food came out quick.

Great food, drinks and service. they have adapted well with no-contact menus and social distancing practices. Felt comfortable dining outside and had a great meal!

Drinks took longer than expect, we ordered 3 rounds and each took a long time.

Yellow Door is a great casual taco spot in the South End. Honestly, my favorite thing on the menu is the Guacamole and Salsa The taco's are good, but nothing about them really stood out. Also, try to request a table away from the dumpster. The lingering scent of trash took away from the otherwise absolutely charming patio. Overall a good experience and our server was great. However, there are much better options nearby if you're looking to impress someone or have an exceptional dining experience.

Every time I visit Yellow Door, I have a great time. They put so much care into the food, beverage, and, now, the super cute expanded outdoor patio. Can't get enough!

Really good Carne Asada Tacos! And the drinks were tasty!

This restaurant was amazing! The drink menu was what intrigued me to stop by and they did not disappoint. The tacos were delicious but on the smaller side so get more than you think if you are hungry! The restaurant also had an adorable outdoor seating area with picnic tables and string lights. Would definitely recommend for any occasion and we can’t wait to come back!

There aren't too many places that are 'doing it right' considering the current limitations and regulations on dining, but YDT is doing it all, while at the same time providing a safe and exceptional atmosphere.
