Staff is amazing as is the food.
Great service, great Turkish food!
Great food great presentation great atmosphere great service. Parking can be hard to find. All in all love the place!
Most authentic Turkish food in greater National Capital Region. Wide menu, excellent service, delicious and appealingly plated food...Yayla Bistro is wonderful part of the area diverse cuisine.
Wife and I celebrated her birthday here last Friday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Rona was a super waitress who pampered us in every way. Food was hot, fresh, and authentic. Moussaka and spinach pie were the best I've ever tasted and I've been to Istanbul.
The vegetables had no taste the beats were from can, nothing really fresh in terms of vegetables or made from a jar. Waiter return 3 times to tell us that every bottle of wine we ordered from menu they did not have. Staff not prepared to inform. Would not return again.
Excellent food, service and attention to detail. Parking is limited in the area and the restaurant area is noisy due to hard floors and ceiling.
server(s) were very knowledgeable of compatibility and variety of dishes. Overall experience was EXCELLENT.
This is a solid restaurant, great food, good service and reasonably priced.
Lovely, homey small restaurant with delicious food. It was a tad loud, but we were there for New Year's Eve, so it was crowded. I'd definitely return!
Worst turkish food ever. The food was not real Turkish food and way overpriced.
Yayla never disappoints. The service is always cordial, informed, warm and friendly. Selection of Turkish wines always yields a winner. We were three and shared 3 delicious appetizers, 2 spreads and halloum cheese. The entrees were great and the Musaaka was light and tasty not heavy like many.
We will be back soon
Completely authentic. Our server on Sat morning was wonderful. She brought everything out rapidly and was knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend.
The food is amazing. The appetizer sampler was awesome. I absolutely loved the lamb chops. I just wish it wasn't so pricey.
This restaurant was a wonderful find for us. We had just been in Greece and Turkey over the summer, and were blown away by the food. It was the perfect combination of authentic but with a creative flair, delicious, nutritious with fresh ingredients, etc. The service was exceptional and fast, and the restaurant was pretty inside. We will definitely be back again. My 13-yr-old boy was just asking today "Mom, when can we go back to that restaurant?"
Our second time here and our previous server remembered us and was very warm and welcoming. Food and service consistently great. A wonderful date place !
Apps were good. Dinner entrees less so. So noisy couldn’t wait to leave. Staff was very nice. Have had better Turkish food elsewhere in area
My husband and I enjoy Mediterranean food but have been looking for different experiences and Yayla delivered! What a fabulous place. The restaurant is cozy, but comfortable with linen tablecloths and napkins (which I prefer). The staff is warm, friendly and informative and the cuisine was terrific. Our waitress explained that their chef is Turkish and what each dish was. She mad wonderful suggestions that did not disappoint. We enjoyed the different tastes and excellent choices from the Mezza appetizer to the Stuffed Apricots on mascarpone for dessert. And a delightful Turkish coffee to top it off. The seats are not too crowded, so I don't feel we're intruding on others conversations! The wait staff was extremely attentive and our courses came out pronto, without being rushed. I highly recommend this restaurant for an evening with friends, a date night or a special occasion. We will be back!
Beautiful atmosphere and lovely opportunity to explore authentic ethic food. I will be back for a return visit.
With its delightful staff, this restaurant has become one of the gems in an area (Arlington/Falls Church) that is too often short on good restaurants. The relatively small menu works very well. The portions are just the right size, leaving room to enjoy the delicious deserts. The Turkish coffee is especially well done. Bravo.
Love this place. My very favorite neighborhood restaurant.
Great experience all around. Food authentic and delicious along with attentive but not intrusive service ! Will definitely return !
Excellent meal. We had the Thanksgiving meal and it was wonderful. The pumpkin dessert was amazing! Definitely will be back!
We will be back! Everything about the experience was fabulous.
The service was excellent-friendly and attentive.
The appetizers-dolmas, hummus, Turkish cigars, falafel- were delicious.
The main course of kabobs was very good.
The three homemade desserts are absolutely delicious. The baklava is amazing.
Great food wonderful service.
The service we received was truly outstanding and the food was delicious. It was a little pricey even for the quality received, but for a special occasion, I'd still (probably) go back. My biggest problem is not actually with the restaurant per se, but the neighborhood - there is almost no legal parking available. Because of work schedules, the four of us came in two cars and both cars ended up parking illegally - we had no choice that we could see. The two hours meter spaced were all occupied, the lot behind the building is for residents of the condo building next door, and the nearby neighborhood street parking requires a sticker. If nothing else, there should be a warning when you make a reservation, and maybe advice?
Solid Mediterranean cuisine, terrific staff. Certain return visit!
Zeynep was our hostess, she was just fantastic, very attentive and cordial. Great service. Great food. I will definitely return and recommend it to food lovers.
Food, service, wine & venue was wonderful. I highly recommend it.
We have a group of 10 well-traveled friends who meet once a week for dinner. We LOVE it here and they bend over backwards to accommodate us.
Another outstanding dinner at this neighborhood gem! Had a group get together and they did a great job in accommodating us, even though the numbers changed a little bit at the end. Food was delicious and quickly served, with everything coming out at the same time! The Spinach Pie, Moussaka, and Bronzino were all standouts and they even surprised us at the end with a birthday version of the rice pudding that was delicious. The friends who were first timers were very impressed and my guess is they'll be return guests. Go ahead and book with confidence that you'll have a great dinner too!
we got over charged for the alcohol.
Love this family-owned restaurant. The food is consistently good and the service is friendly and efficient. They have a cute little patio in good weather and a spacious and well appointed dining area for other times. Its versatile enough for every day dining as well as for special occasions and dates.
Our meal was delicious. Excellent service. We had an early dinner so the restaurant was quiet. It was noisier and busier when we finished but never too noisy.
Delicious food. Loved the doner kabob. Friendly service. Also lots of diners appeared to be Turkish, which means the food is probably authentic.
Food and wait staff were excellent. Our second time there, and there will be a third visit!
We had a wonderful meal ..the service was excellent. Will definitely return again.
What a lovely experience! Excellent food, friendly and well-timed service, and delicious cocktails.
Surprised by the portion size of the lamb - also the vegetable side was very underwhelming. Celery was included 🤷🏻♀️
Always nice to eat at Yayla. Good food, friendly service,
and lovely ambience. I don't think there's anything not to
like at Yayla.
