Desserts are the best in town! Beautiful presentation with lots of flavors.
As usual, Yauatcha provided excellent service and food. This is a unique restaurant in Houston and a great place for any occasion.
Food was overpriced and they were out of at least three dishes and our reservation was at 6:45??? Better Dim Sum in Chinatown. Will not return.
The food was absolutely delicious. Really comfortable and relaxed environment. ❣️
We enjoyed our dinner at Yauatcha; however, this was the
first time I experienced very slow service. It took longer than usual to get our food served. My guests love the food
This was easily one of the best meals my wife and I have ever had. The larger meals are very, very good, but go with the Dim Sum, because every single one we shared was stunning. The cocktails too! Truly fantastic. Though we both had alcohol, we also really appreciated the excellent-looking mocktails on offer. We'll be back the next chance we get!
Visited with parents and kids. Ordered Dim Sum, fried rice, fried noodles and some entree. Table was ready on time and food was relatively authentic.
Waitress Service was pretty dismal. Didn’t seem interested to understand needs of the clients (when I asked for fried rice to be served for kids lunch, she was more concerned about following the “sequence” - and I’m Asian so that was interesting). Had to pour the tea myself for the entire meal. Lack of awareness for cultural context of service for an Asian restaurant unfortunately for a restaurant with nice ambience and food.
I took my girlfriend here to celebrate her graduation from Nursing school. We had a simple meal of Tea, rice, and some Vegetarian chicken, and it was wonderfully delicious. The staff were really accommodating and polite, and I can’t wait to go back again!
The food is incredible! Our waiter surprised us with macarons for our anniversary. It was a beautiful touch to remind us they cares about their customers: wonderful way to end the perfect meal
The atmosphere was amazing food was unbelievably good highly recommend everyone to try during restaurant week
Is a very special restaurant. If you like Chinese food and high cuisine is your place to go. Cocktails on point, good selection of starters and Peking duck is the best in the world, believe me, I know! Also chocolate deserts are yummy! Bring your date and have fun!
Service was ok, however the wait time was excessively long. We spent 2.5 hours there. Granted, we waited for friends for 20 minutes but service was very slow... l don’t know if it was the waiters or the kitchen.
Food was awesome as usual but I really hate when they bring out 2 to 3 dim sum dishes together so you’re done in an hour
great service and fantastic food. Definitely a must repeat.
Amazing service and the food was excellent. Will be going back very soon!
The food was... Decent. But with such an extreme price I was expecting amazing, or at least great... But it was average at best, making the value EXTREMELY low. I would have rather spent 1/10 the amount at shake shack across the street.
Great service, very knowledgeable on food and what to recommend. Will be back
Excellent food and service experience!
A fabulous restaurant. Out of this world quality food, great presentation, beautiful interior and (something I didn't think I would ever say) very good value for the dollar even in this luxury restaurant segment. Service felt a bit more like you are at a Chili's rather than at a fancy restaurant, but nothing bad to detract from an otherwise wonderful experience.
Te food was not that great... very pricey for what it was.
the food was excellent. Really nice and modern appearance.
The food is good but nothing crazy amazing either. The signature menu is way too expensive (98USD per person + 60USD for wine pairing if you wish it) unless if you are after massive quantity. A bit disappointed. I recommend to take A la Carte, just the quantity you want and it is likely to be way cheaper.
Always love the food and the ambience .
Food takes a while to come to the desk and it’s not in one go like any other dim sum so best bet is to order a bunch upfront and than expect the food to come , as servers are different are from the stewards who get the food.
That being said the deserts are 2 thumbs up.
The teas are good too. Ask to be seated in the tearoom
We ordered the Peking Duck and it was great.
The first course was presented in a different way, like canapés, but they were very tasty !!
The Duck for the second course were in a delicious XO sauce, it was excellent too !!
Great place to dine !!
Consistently great food, drinks, and service! The best!!
Awesome as always
Great bar, great service! The tea and dim sum are exquisite!
Superb food & service
This is about the highest end dim sum we've had in Houston, and we're frequent dim-summers with my wife's family. The presentation was beautiful, the staff was incredibly attentive and the actual dim sum morsels were impressive.
I always like Yauatcha ever since I tried them in London. I am glad to see consistency quality of them around the world. Since I live in Houston currently, this will be my frequent spot Yauatcha. Keep it up Yauatcha!
love this restaurant!! As good as any dumpling house in China!
Really we mostly come for the desserts, which are to die for, though there seems to be less selection of late. They always have the macarons, but some of my other favorites (notably the passion fruit and the raspberry desserts) seem to have disappeared from the menu. The entrees are good, but a bit pricey for what you get. When they describe the Kwetio noodle, for example, it sounds really exotic and different, but I ordered it and it tasted exactly like Pad See Ew. Some things are more original, like the Morel dumplings, and their Hot and Sour soup has a really different flavor (not very hot, but quite sour), so they do kind of a creative take on some dishes but then some are more familiar (Kung Pao chicken, The chili shrimp and Singapore noodles for example). The service is pretty good and the atmosphere is really nice. It's a nice splurge when you're in the mood for upscale Chinese food. A nice place to take guests.
Good vegetarian options. I would recommend this place to all.
Not impressed. Service was slow and chaotic. Waiter did not coordinate our tables order and since you share plates brought us too much of the same thing. He brought one dish that we did not order, I had told him that I would wait on it, and he argued with me that I did order it instead of just taking it back. The repetitive beat of the music became annoying and we all could not wait to leave.
Great food great service
Meatless Duck! was given Duck Skin on a thin piece of bread, stale tasting Rice couldnt eat two bites of it! 99.00 ea for this complete Garbage! Will not Return!
Great service and friendly staff. We sat an oval shaped table in the room with LED stars on the ceiling. The chairs around our table were a little damaged on the arm rests, probably from contact with the bottom of the tables. Not a big deal, but definitely something noticeable that could be improved. We will definitely be back soon!
This restaurant has probably lived its hype. Came in on a Saturday for lunch, it's so quiet with only a handful tables occupied. Very unusual for a restaurant located in Galleria mall. i could see why: the hostess doesn't make you feel welcome i.e. no greeting or a smile. we wanted an empty table by the window of which she said was reserved but when we left an hour and half later, that table was still empty - meaning she lied! The menu has not changed much since its opening. we asked about the mooncake as it's not on the menu (though we received an email about it) but the waiter said he has to asked someone to get more info. Really?
The food here was very delicious and unique, but the portions are extremely small (as you might expect with dim sum) and everything is extremely pricey. That said, the ambiance was very classy, even for just a lunch date, and the service is excellent. I would say this is more of an experience than a meal, and I would say it is overpriced, but it was still a nice experience. I couldn’t go here very often though.
