we love dumplings, especially the pathak we can get many of them vegetarian. Kids enjoyed veg chicken dish and desserts were amazing
Service and food extremely slow not sure if it’s because of Easter holiday.
Easter Brunch. I love Yauatcha! As one of Cantonese descent I appreciate traditional Dim Sum kicked up a few notches! The artistry, the flavors! The best!
I always enjoy Yauatcha.
The waiter was very nice and he took a good care of my allergies!
Very good food in pleasant atmosphere
It is one of the best restaurants in Houston; great food, spectacular wines and exceptional service!
Waiter was exceptional in his knowledge and service. The food was excellent but could have used more spice. The price was steep given the quantity of food served and by the time you add on valet, the price was very high.
Everything was delicious - the Signature menu was too much food! Peking Duck tasted just like Changsha, very authentic. The waiter did not understand the drink pairing menu. The edamame truffle dumpling was not good.
Very good service we are enjoy to eat in your place. Definitely will coming back
Very clean and polished environment. Food was delicious!
First let me say the food was amazing. Our waiter was disappointing. Not once did he address my wife. It seemed like he really did not want to work. We had another waiter that delivered our food and he was awesome. Took the time to explain everything and how to eat the aromatic duck. Several times as he passed he would check to make sure that everything was ok. The original waiter asked only once towards the end of the meal how our food was. There was definitely an attitude problem with our waiter. One last thing on our reservation I noted that we were there to celebrate my wife’s Birthday. No one in he restaurant acknowledged the note on the reservation or even asked if we were their for a special occasion. For a restaurant with this food of this caliber I would expect better service. The staff from the hostess down to our waiter were in their own La La Land. Michael was the waiter that presented our meal was the bright spot equal to the quality of he food and delivered the service I would expect from this restaurant.
I wanted to try something new for my birthday, sadly I can’t remember our waiters name but he made our entire dining experience a pleasure with his suggestions, We opted to try the “Taste of Yauatcha “ that gave us a sampling of quite a few things , the pork ribs fell off of the bones, the steamed dumplings were ok , the suggested cocktail was really good, overall the experience was a good one just wished the food was more flavorful.
We celebrated a special occasion there with family and it was perfect. We called ahead of time and gave them our order and specific instructions on when to bring the food out and they did such a great job of adhering to it. The food was amazing as well as the ambiance. The manager came over to congratulate us and the lady in charge of our table did such a great job at being so attentive. Thank you Yauatcha for making our evening even more special!
Stick with the dim sum. The entrees were mediocre and nothing special. Some of the dim sum were not flavorful while some were quite good. For the price point all of them should be good.
Defiantly go for the food! It’s delicious! Awesome dim sum, and the crispy duck is always a must for us. But so not go expecting adequate service. We’ve been many times and service is never great. Host stand is a gate-keeper type experience (even though this time we had a reservation) and the place is never packed when we go. Service is usually slow and not confident. But again, the food is incredible!
Shrimp and mushroom dumplings very good, not so the lobster dumpling.
Amazing food and cocktails as always... the Elemental Fashioned maybe my favorite drink ever.
A bit of a disappointment. Our previous dining experiences were superior. Dishes did come more rapidly to the table than during previous visits.
Stephanie took great care of us.
Good service and good quality in the food, the desserts are amazing
Excellent place to each Asian food. Highly recommended.
I had a very bad time with the restaurant this time. The hosts were very indifferent and cold. They gave me a hard time for my baby (my grandson). The food has a lot of MSG.
I am a restaurant manager and my boyfriend a chef so we come with high expectations. Server was nice but we did have an incident where someone else's food was dropped at our table and the food runner and the server started discussing about how the mistake was made while food was still on our table instead of taking it away and then talking about it away from the guests. The food was meant for the table next to us so it was an easy fix for them. The music is modern but super monotone and the hot towel does not come after you finished your meal but rather after you had already paid, meaning we had to go wash our hands as we finished the meal to be able to enjoy dessert and pay the bill. We considered the food to be overpriced. $200 for two guests (one sake for $40 included in this). We ordered a salad, 4 appetizers, 2 mains and a dessert. The salad was very nice and fresh. One appetizer (sticky rice in lotus leaf) we barely ate as neither of us could stand the flavor of it, server cleared the plate with 75% of the app still on it and never asked if we liked it or not. The other 3 apps were edible but not enjoyable. The crispy duck was very nice and the jasmine pork ribs were way too sweet and not that aromatic, but really tender. Fried rice was very oniony and kind of soggy. We both agreed that salad was the highlight of the meal.
It may be nice for others but did not found anything great!
Almost nothing for vegetarian. Server and/or Chef were not able to customize food for vegetarians.
This may be fine for seafood or other food but I will not recommend any vegetarian to go there.
Service was average. Environment nothing great!
Food was pretty good. Warm atmosphere with pretty lightning. Excellent service even though it was pretty busy
I came here previously right after they opened and everything was amazing. This time the service was marginal at best. Food was okay but not worth the price.
Our waiter, William, was excellent. He explained the menu items well, helped with special diets and was there when needed but not intrusive. The selections were limited for those on special diets (one low sodium and one gluten free), but the overall experience was delicious as well as delightful. I had a group of 10 women...we all dislike long bench seating as those in the middle have to make everyone move if they need to depart, and that is why I downgraded on ambience. However, it was light and airy and a pleasant atmosphere for a luncheon.
Simply fantastic ... everything on the menu is excellent ! Will definitely come back
great service amazing food, a bit loud for business lunch
Very nice !
High end splurge for dim sum
I wanted to love it, especially because the service was great but the dim sum just wasn't that good, compared to Din Tai Fung or other high end dim sum places I've been.
The atmosphere was excellent, the noise level was fine, the waiter was extra attentive and personable. The food was excellent.
My wife and I had an enjoyable time. The only negative was our table for 2, and that the length was just a little long, where we had to move towards each other in our time of conversing.
Food was excellent, service great! Will be coming back again very soon! Great atmosphere and drinks!
I wouldn’t quite say “energetic” about the noise level... I would say “really loud & hard to hold a conversation if you are even the slightest hard of hearing! I suggest just digging in and enjoying the fantastic food & service!!!
Ate there 2 nights in a row. The place rocks!
Solid all the way around! 2nd time there and I promise there will be a 3rd, 4th ... and so on :)
One of my favorites!
The food is just amazing.
