Our second time there and it did not disappoint. The spanakopita appetizer was excellent. Flaky crust and yummy filling. My husband had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and delicious. I had the chicken souvlaki and it was excellent. Our server, Jack, was wonderful. He answered all our questions and checked on us several times during our time there. Looking forward to our next meal there in a couple of weeks.

Yasouvlaki charges two dollars for a side dish substitution! That’s insane. Want extra tzatziki sauce?? You’ll pay for that too! Want cream with your coffee? Better bring your own there’s no cream even though Whole Foods is right across the street! This place nickel and dimes you to death! Food and service are good but are overshadowed by the annoying surcharges and very tight seating.

There were four people in our party. We shared two appetizers, hummus and spanakopita. Both were good. Three of us shared the grilled seafood platter. It was more than enough for three people and was delicious. The fourth person enjoyed a yummy salmon dish. We all loved it and said we would definitely go back. As a matter of fact, we were there three weeks ago and two of us are going back tonight.

I love Greek food and had been wanting to try this place for awhile. It was worth the wait. Food was delicious maybe only slightly expensive. Service good and staff friendly and helpful. Will come again.

Really disappointed. Wine was great and reasonably priced - service was great but food was really sub par. We had octopus - mushy and no doubt frozen. taramasalata - I don’t know what this was but tasted off - grape leaves were ok - pita was stale - clearly frozen. Was shocked to taste pork skewer - frozen - grizzle and just old. Lamb chops were ok. Hop over to Astoria for real Greek food. Although I have to say the crowds keep coming in - baffling….

This is just a great restaurant in every way. It is truly a neighborhood gem. The food is consistently excellent and the service is always warm, friendly, responsive and mistake-free. In particular, Evangelos is always wonderful and it's always good to see him. He makes coming to the restaurant an even bigger treat! Everything on the menu is great and the prices are reasonable. Go and enjoy!

This is a highly underrated spot in NYC! I am surprised I was even able to get a spot. This place should have a 1 hour wait! If you have not been, it’s time to go! The Savanaki is to die for! the seafood mixed grill is the best well balanced dish for a small group that one can find in the city! The quality of the food as well as the service are a great match for this Greek local spots. It’s been a regular for me each time I am in NYC. Highly recommended…

This was my first time dining at Yasouvlaki, and I really enjoyed it. The beet salad was fresh and delicious. And the swordfish sandwich on pita bread was amazing. The pastry dessert that I had was also wonderful. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable. I will definitely go back soon.

Food was delicious. Portions inconsistent. $20 octopus appetizer was chintzy on the actual amount of octopus but the entrees we received, lamb shank and full bronzino were generous. Staff was very friendly.
