Yardley Inn Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
We are new to Yardley and needed to find a place for my husband's birthday. We were very pleased with the food especially his dinner. I'm vegetarian and it would be nice to have more than one option on the menu. There were no vegan options at all since the spaghetti squash appeared to be made with cheese. Noise level from the bar was significant and the children at the next table were a little noisy. However, we were parents of small children, in the past. I always give families a pasd. The Staff was attentive, responsive. We will be back. Maybe you will have a vegan option by then. Since we were there after dark, I can't comment on the view.
Had a great lunch at this restaurant. It was a little strange that they brought out mini chocolate muffins instead of bread to start our meal, but they were delicious...as was everything we ordered. Service was pleasant and efficient and the location is lovely.
Yardley Inn is often our go-to spot to meet for lunch. Today we had a leisurely lunch and never felt hurried despite a full house. Our server, Nicole R., was very helpful and attentive. Sweet potato soup and crab bisque were both delicious. Flounder and cod entrees were also nice options on the lunch for less menu. Panda cotta dessert was exceptional and just right for a rainy day when paired with a cup of hot tea.
Been here many times and usually 5 stars; a disappointing this time. Four people, 2 main course dishes came out cold (a first) and had to be sent back. One came back hot, one OK warm, both came back after the other two people had finished. The waitress knew by just looking that the one was still not done, lots of offers to redo it, but really, everyone else was done. We really expected to be offered something (free desert, etc) but just lots of apologies from manager.
Some recipes had obviously changed, and not for the better. We would still go back, but not as enthused.
Yardley Inn is one of our favorite local places to eat. The menu changes often and always has a creative selection of small bites to main courses. The atmosphere is elegant but not too fussy. It's a great place for a girl's night or a business dinner. This visit was for my mother's 82 birthday.
The service is very attentive. My friend did not like the entree she picked and they offered her to select another entree. That was very nice and true hospitality that we don't see often nowadays. I enjoyed the food and the view. The noise level did get quite energetic. Will go back again.
What a fabulous find! My boyfriend and I scoured Yelp and happened upon this gem, 40 minutes away from where we were. A look at the menu convinced us to make the drive, and we are so happy we did! A beautiful restaurant with excellent service and absolutely delicious food! I highly recommend it. We are from Virginia, but the next time we are in Philadelphia visiting friends we will be making the drive to Yardley!
Very crowded, no parking, was elbowed repeatedly in the lobby area. Had to yell over the crowd to answer the hostess's "DID EVERYONE CHECK IN?" Waitress was pleasant but clearly had too many tables to adequately service. I compared it to an Outback Steakhouse experience - not fine dining, but not the end of the world.
Enjoyed perfectly made vanilla martini. For appetizer the crab soup was served piping hot and had a little kick which was just perfect. Lots of crab! However, the soup was missing the usually scoop of sour cream. As an entree I had the crisp iceberg wedge with lots of chunky blue cheese and right amount of sour cream/buttermilk dressing served with a side of three grilled extra large shrimp.
Our 7:30 reservation did not mean anything, by waited until 8:30 before we were seated . Unfortunately it was in the bar next to the live music which was so loud we had to wait change tables. After another 10 minutes we were moved . One dinner was not prepared as described so a substitute order was provided which was in the end very good. The manager felt bad and did her best to make up for our experience by taking the appetizer off the bill which was nice. She also offered to buy us after dinner drinks which we did not accept as we had already had wine . I would give them another try .
I brought two dear friends to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed everything...the view, the congratulatory messages from the staff, their cocktails, their lunch entrees, and their dessert.
Upon leaving, they promised me that they would bring me to The Yardley Inn for my next birthday. Now that's a gift I'm looking forward to!
I was very pleased with my first dinner experience at the Inn. I had guests who were celebrating a wedding anniversary, and they thought the food and setting were exceptional. The whole experience convinces me that I'll be coming back to the Yardley Inn for all my special occasions. Even with nothing to celebrate, though, I expect to enjoy lunches and dinners as a regular customer.
