Probably amazing view of water (we came at night).
Clean (you could probably eat off the floor)
Good noise level (not too quiet, not too noisy).
Food was very good, not fantastic, but above average.
Beer list was extensive.
Waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.
My fiance left happy.
Much like everyone else has said to me, many of whom have stopped going there, the portion size (bang for buck) was just not there. I ordered the fish stew. It was good, but the portion size was laughable. I've ordered the same dish in other restaurants, and it's double the size, for the same price, and you get a bread or a starch with it. We didn't have anything, nor were we offered any. My dinner was a stew (soup if you would), with nothing to enhance it. If bread was an option, awesome, but we were never asked if we wanted it.
The appetizers were good, but again, we didn't feel like we got our bang for our buck. 4 deviled eggs for $8.00. That's two eggs, cut in half. Good, but way too small for what we paid. Perogies/Dumplings (don't remember), again, 5 count, small, not impressive, decent, but again, underwhelming. You get 6 of the same thing at the local Chinese takeout for $6.00 and they are double the size. Not saying they are the same thing, but it's dough and filling. Plump them up a bit, or at least give 6, so each person gets three. I have no idea why 5 would be an option. Makes no sense, and I've said the same thing to other restaurants I've been to.
It is a very nice place, set in a very attractive area, with plenty of parking, and tons of menu options. The food good, the place is immaculate, and the staff is friendly. It's not a place to go to if you're a guy with an appetite. So if you play sports, go to the gym, or don't get out much, and are looking for a feast, this isn't it, but I can see where this would work for the the marker/clientele they probably attract. :-)
Great food and service
Great sandwichs! The restaurant's only negative is the noise level which makes socializing next to impossible at times.
The menus is not static, but the favorites are there with a new and interesting (and good) twist. Location is great...AND AND THE SErVICE has always been OUTSTANDING! Interestingly, the beef is the best in the area, and that is unexpected because of the varried menu. But as all of the food is great not really unexpected! WE love the local sustainable aspects of the menu. Ask for upstairs for a special occasion party.
The Yardley Inn is a very comfortable charming historical restaurant. It is located across from the Delaware River an many tables have views. I have been here many times and often bring guests.
We were celebrating the birthday of a friend who will be 102 next Wednesday. Andy was our server and she was very attentive and efficient and pleasant as always. We had a very enjoyable lunch
My friend and I went for lunch. They have a very good fixed price lunch menu. The lobster bisque was fresh. The salmon on our main course was cooked perfectly. The service was very good. This is an overall favorite restaurant when meeting friends for lunch. Have never been disappointed.
We had an excellent meal Sunday night. Halibut and buttered cabbage. Amazing. Service was fantastic. Couldn’t ask for more. Also had a fabulous wine recommendation! Thanks Michelle.
The food, ambience, and service were superb! My date had the Caesar salad, filet mignon, chocolate oatmeal cookies, and two porters. He enjoyed all of it, and especially appreciated the rare cook on the steak. I had the green salad, salmon, tiramisu, and a glass of rosé. The greens were fresh, the beets were roasted to a slightly sweet perfection, and the salmon was nice and flakey. I wish I could have finished the tiramisu but, alas, the portions were generous (no complaints) and left us full to the brim. I would absolutely recommend Yardley Inn for any occasion, whether it be a date or a friendly gathering.
Seated timely at table requested. Wait staff attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, especially the avocado toast. Vanilla Martini was amazing.
