Had a great lunch at this restaurant. It was a little strange that they brought out mini chocolate muffins instead of bread to start our meal, but they were delicious...as was everything we ordered. Service was pleasant and efficient and the location is lovely.

Yardley Inn is often our go-to spot to meet for lunch. Today we had a leisurely lunch and never felt hurried despite a full house. Our server, Nicole R., was very helpful and attentive. Sweet potato soup and crab bisque were both delicious. Flounder and cod entrees were also nice options on the lunch for less menu. Panda cotta dessert was exceptional and just right for a rainy day when paired with a cup of hot tea.

Been here many times and usually 5 stars; a disappointing this time. Four people, 2 main course dishes came out cold (a first) and had to be sent back. One came back hot, one OK warm, both came back after the other two people had finished. The waitress knew by just looking that the one was still not done, lots of offers to redo it, but really, everyone else was done. We really expected to be offered something (free desert, etc) but just lots of apologies from manager.

Some recipes had obviously changed, and not for the better. We would still go back, but not as enthused.

Steak wasn't cooked , asked for medium well, was barely even rare. Don't think it was cooked for even a minute on each side. Waiter took forever for everything, felt like I was always waiting for a drink. Very disappointed for how much it cost to go there.

Our meal was delicious and fresh. Service was excellent. This is my favorite restaurant. We don't go out often and this is always my first choice.

Yardley Inn is one of our favorite local places to eat. The menu changes often and always has a creative selection of small bites to main courses. The atmosphere is elegant but not too fussy. It's a great place for a girl's night or a business dinner. This visit was for my mother's 82 birthday.

Becoming somewhat of a tradition to celebrate our wedding anniversary here. Food was great and the atmosphere was just right - upscale without feeling stuffy. Would definitely recommend for a nice night out.

Everything was wonderful except for the noise level. We could hardly hear each other talk! It was so noisy. That is one thing which might keep us away. I despise restaurants wherein one has to scream to be heard.

The service is very attentive. My friend did not like the entree she picked and they offered her to select another entree. That was very nice and true hospitality that we don't see often nowadays. I enjoyed the food and the view. The noise level did get quite energetic. Will go back again.

What a fabulous find! My boyfriend and I scoured Yelp and happened upon this gem, 40 minutes away from where we were. A look at the menu convinced us to make the drive, and we are so happy we did! A beautiful restaurant with excellent service and absolutely delicious food! I highly recommend it. We are from Virginia, but the next time we are in Philadelphia visiting friends we will be making the drive to Yardley!

Very crowded, no parking, was elbowed repeatedly in the lobby area. Had to yell over the crowd to answer the hostess's "DID EVERYONE CHECK IN?" Waitress was pleasant but clearly had too many tables to adequately service. I compared it to an Outback Steakhouse experience - not fine dining, but not the end of the world.

Enjoyed perfectly made vanilla martini. For appetizer the crab soup was served piping hot and had a little kick which was just perfect. Lots of crab! However, the soup was missing the usually scoop of sour cream. As an entree I had the crisp iceberg wedge with lots of chunky blue cheese and right amount of sour cream/buttermilk dressing served with a side of three grilled extra large shrimp.

Our 7:30 reservation did not mean anything, by waited until 8:30 before we were seated . Unfortunately it was in the bar next to the live music which was so loud we had to wait change tables. After another 10 minutes we were moved . One dinner was not prepared as described so a substitute order was provided which was in the end very good. The manager felt bad and did her best to make up for our experience by taking the appetizer off the bill which was nice. She also offered to buy us after dinner drinks which we did not accept as we had already had wine . I would give them another try .

We belong to their frequent diners club and are there frequently, but their menu is really stale with the specials odd. There needs to be some changes. It's getting a bit stale though still a charming venue.

Lovely ambience, friendly and good service. Wish they had better salads on menu and even perhaps a couple of gormet traditional salads such as a chopped salad, cobb salad. Please change up the chicken salad. It's been on the menu for a long time.

I brought two dear friends to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed everything...the view, the congratulatory messages from the staff, their cocktails, their lunch entrees, and their dessert.
Upon leaving, they promised me that they would bring me to The Yardley Inn for my next birthday. Now that's a gift I'm looking forward to!

I was very pleased with my first dinner experience at the Inn. I had guests who were celebrating a wedding anniversary, and they thought the food and setting were exceptional. The whole experience convinces me that I'll be coming back to the Yardley Inn for all my special occasions. Even with nothing to celebrate, though, I expect to enjoy lunches and dinners as a regular customer.

We've been going to the Yardley Inn for almost 17 years. The fried Crab cakes with tomato sauce with mac and cheese entree was sub par. I was shocked - the plate looked like two meatballs over rotini pasta. I told the server I had the wrong plate; our waitress came over and assured me it was 2 crab cakes. I asked why they were fried; she said they made a change and she was clearly embarrassed. They've always been baked and the cakes large - all meat - delicious! This looked like something from a cheap pizza shop. And the rotini? Yikes, it tasted like mac and cheese, but there was no cheese on it at all. What was it? For a $30+ entree - it was REALLY DISAPPOINTING. I was offered a dessert to make up for it. NO THANKS. Yardley Inn touts "Farm to Table" entrees - they have some work to do in the kitchen.

When we sat down, I noticed that most tables did not have food served. A foursome was waiting for their food when we sat down. We ordered and were brought our food. They saw we got our food and were visibly upset. A hostess came to the table, and withing 60 seconds, they walked out. Table behind us also got their food late too. I counted 3-4 empty tables in the dinning room when we sat down. Either they are slow with clearing, slow with seating, or they don't have enough help waiting tables.

I think also think there's an issue in the kitchen - food timing and menu changes.
