Yardley Inn Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
The food, ambience, and service were superb! My date had the Caesar salad, filet mignon, chocolate oatmeal cookies, and two porters. He enjoyed all of it, and especially appreciated the rare cook on the steak. I had the green salad, salmon, tiramisu, and a glass of rosé. The greens were fresh, the beets were roasted to a slightly sweet perfection, and the salmon was nice and flakey. I wish I could have finished the tiramisu but, alas, the portions were generous (no complaints) and left us full to the brim. I would absolutely recommend Yardley Inn for any occasion, whether it be a date or a friendly gathering.
Usually have dinner here. Went for lunch on Sat. Sat at bar. Christie , as usual , was terrific. Great mixologist and very knowledgeable. Food at lunch is awesome as is dinners. Service is impeccable always. All we missed was Christie’s partner, Frank. Unbearable mixologist team.
Menu selections are delicious and versatile. No bad choices here. Our very favorite spot for food, drinks, etc.
We had a wait for our bottled water. We had 2 severs attempt to pour the tap water but my date politely told them we wanted bottled sparkling water. After a long wait, my date became agitated. I did my best to distract him and the night happily progressed well.
Birthday brunch with the family. It is a menu brunch, not a buffet, which in our books is a a good thing. The menu options were creative and the two entrees I sampled were tasty. On the downside, the bloody marys were extremely hot, but otherwise had no flavor. Also, the noise level was beyond energetic, bordering on painful. I hope they do something with the acoustics before the next time I go there.
I have been eating at Yardley Inn since on a regular moving to the area in August, the food has always been excellent and the service close to perfect. On this trip my wife and I had the special, steak tips with mushrooms over rigatoni in a cream sauce. I could have eaten a second one it was so good. The red velvet sour cream ice cream cake was amazing as well. They also have wonderful wine tasting, beer tasting, bourbon and scotch tasting dinners. Eating a meal accompanied by bourbons was a revelation to me a few weeks ago when I attended.
We live locally and been going to the Inn for years,,,,used it for quick meals, special occasions and for large groups in the upstairs room. The attention to detail and a great staff makes every reservation a pleasure to look forward to. We are so lucky to have the Inn close by.
Overall great experience on a busy Saturday night. The inn was bustling but not overwhelming.
Personal attention was evident at every stage from the hostess station, the bar, live entertainment, wait staff to the valet.
Great meal. Interesting dishes paired with some very nice premium wines by the glass. The Duckhorn cab went perfectly with the duck sausage perogies and my filet. My wife's duck was spectacular and perfectly seasoned.
Looking forward to going back -
I would rate my normal experience at the Yardley Inn higher. This was a bit unusual. A party was being held in the adjoining room. The movable partition dividing the rooms kept being pushed into my guest who was sitting right next to the partition. Made it annoying and loud. Service was not quite as good as usual.
The highlights of the Yardley Inn remain its location, atmosphere, and service. Food has never been better than average, and our most recent visit will likely be our last. We were looking for a light meal, and ordered from the Tiers of Flavor - basically appetizers. Fried calamari was lukewarm, with a texture of having been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Duck Sausage pierogies were dry and flavorless, hard as a shingle and requiring a knife to part. Then there were some salmon and toast things. The tomato soup was good, though.
Still, love the view of the Delaware and the service is great. The ideal thing would be to rent a table and bring in takeout from elsewhere.
We always love coming here, but this particluar Saturday night was extremely busy. Because we had to wait almost 1/2 hour, despite having a reservation, the front desk staff was extremely apologetic and were going out of their way to accomodate us. The best part is that we got our first round of drinks free. Our meal, drinks, and service were fantastic and the Inn was decorated beautifully for the holidays. This is still one of my favorite places to go.
