Yardley Inn Restaurant and Bar
Nestled along the Delaware River in bucolic Bucks County, the Yardley Inn is a great place to enjoy waterside dining near Philadelphia.

This is an excellent restaurant with great food, great service and great ambiance. Every time my wife and I come out this way we eat here. Truly exceptional!
A mediocre experience from a once high-quality establishment. Nothing was exactly "bad", but we remember when the Yardley Inn was a go-to for good local quality of food and service.
Food was acceptable but unremarkable: supermarket-quality hummus, crab cakes a comfortable 6/10, Brussels sprouts were great, sweet corn was overpowered with onion, sparkling wine was served out of little airline style bottles bringing a cheapened feel to a small celebration.
Service was somewhat patchy, intermittent. When I asked for water without ice, it arrived along with iced water (two glasses were put in front of me). We had to ask three times if we could please order, perhaps our server was on a break. Again, nothing serious to complain about, but just a generally "far from upscale" experience and well below our expectations of this restaurant.
As a final note, when you're at a table for two, you can't ask the payer to step away for five minutes to come with you to the cash desk at the front of the house. You need to bring the transaction to the payer, not the other way around.
Dear Yardley Inn team, sorry for the three star review... really hope you guys get things back on track soon and we look forward to returning some time in the future.
All around a great evening and a great meal! The food and drinks are consistently good every time we go.
I’ve been here for dinner many many times and the
Food has always been exceptional-so good that I’ve always ignored the old, musty smell in the restaurant most evident in the hallway as you walk into the rear dining room. Our waitress seemed to purposely ignore us as she attentively waited on the table directly behind us yet never asked us how our food came out, forgot to bring us a beer we ordered, we had to ask several times for drink refills and then sat for a good 20 minutes after we were done. We were noticeably done yet she walked past us and ignored us until I asked for our check-honestly, it seemed intentional. My husband and I laughed it off and said yea we won’t be back here again for a long while! So disappointed:-(.
Food was awful. to expensive for poor quality. Food used to be better.
Great restaurant for everyday dining!!
It was really a family get together. Great drinks, Great Atmosphere, Delicious entrees (Steak, crab cakes), Marvelous desserts. Overall a Fantastic evening!
Just great as always!!
My birthday dinner at the Yardley Inn was delish and the service was topnotch! We started with before dinner drinks & oysters and the berry salad, which was outstanding! My hubby & I had the filet (cooked perfectly) and our daughter had the meatloaf (very tasty) & we shared a bottle of wine. All our sides were delish too! We skipped dessert, because we had BD cake at home. Our server was attentive & very pleasant, as were the other staff. We sat at a window table looking at the peaceful Delaware River and restaurant garden, which was lovely. The restaurant was packed, so the noise level was moderate, but everyone was enjoying themselves and it's so nice to be out & about once again. We will be back soon.
Delightful for a girls’ get together!! Thank you!
Great food. Michael our waiter was truly exceptional!
The food was delicious. Nicely presented. We sat on the small patio and enjoyed the views of the river.
We ate outside and it was a delightful experience. Traffic noise, especially motorcycles, could be loud but they were only passing by on River Road. The setting for the outside is very soothing, surrounded by lush green foliage and the river. A very nice dining experience.
As always a delicious meal with fantastic service!
Everything was excellent
Our go to restaurant
Service was excellent
We had a most enjoyable meal. We will definitely return.
The food was incredible. We sat outside and even though it rained, we stayed dry under their tent. Will be back again and again.
Food was excellent. Felt their cocktails were way overpriced for what they were.
Great outdoor space under the tent, very clean, spacious, well maintained and staff was super accommodating. Our table even had a nice peekaboo view of the river. Food was delicious, came out hot and fresh. Brussels sprouts app was amazing! Such a nice place right in the heart of Yardley. Highly recommend.
Great meal, good value. Look forward to returning soon!
Great water view. Charming restaurant. Great food with fantastic wait staff. Enjoyed every part of our meals-from drinks to entrees & desert.
A historic and charming restaurant set next to the Delaware River. This Pennsylvania restaurant is worth the trip to if looking for a change of pace and scenery.
The craft beer list is impressive with an hearty offering carefully selected by the head barkeeper.
Appetizers are kind of limited by choice but they offer a 2-3 choice tower that samples some of each. The Wings are phenomenal here!
The Cod was a great and the oysters cleaned so well not a grain of sand! This is a definite go to on our list and it should be for yours as well.
The staff is amazing. Food delicious. And what a great pour.
Never a bad meal and last night was no exception! Beautiful night to dine outside under the now permanent tent. Brett F is an amazing waiter, one of the best I’ve had, ever! Really personable and efficient, and he got my husband his blue cheese stuffed olives so he was impressed! Highly, highly recommend!
As always, The Yardley Inn lived up to its reputation. Good Food, Good Service, and a beautiful view of the river. Sure miss the piano in the bar though
This has been our weekly stop for a few years now (including lots of take-out during COVID). The service is always wonderful. Michelle and her team do a great job making each guest feel welcomed. Keep your eye on the weekly specials- that's where this place truly excels. The beef tenderloin this weekend was fabulous.
Excellent food, caring service. YI has never disappointed.
Outdoor tent seating was very spacious and comfortable. A nice neighborhood gem for lunch or dinner.
What a wonderful evening! I met a dear friend here after being apart through COVID, to celebrate their recent birthday and retirement. It was a beautiful evening so we chose the outdoor seating and it was perfect. Felt like a natural extension of the restaurant, not haphazard at all and the meal was fabulous from the sumptuous deviled eggs and the fresh marguerita salad to the miso chilean sea bass my friend had and my delicious, cooked to perfection steak. Our waiter, Mike, was friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and professional. The Yardley Inn never disappoints and tonight was no exception, just exceptional. Look forward to next time
I came here for a dinner with coworkers and there were a lot of great things about this place. One of the people in our party has to eat gluten free and they have such a great variety of GF items. Our server was fantastic especially with having to deal with extra tables because of the server shortage. You also can't beat the views!
Just perfect. My friend wanted to switch out turkey in her sandwich for grilled chicken, no problem. Very accommodating to say the least.
Our waitress was fantastic. The food was very good. It would be nice to cater to kids a bit more. Especially since we were there are Father's Day. Most families have children that may need an option. Doesn't have to be on the menu but 1 or 2 items on standby should be considered. Pasta was nice but not all like it. Other than that it was very delicious and would most definitely come back.
We had a nice view of the Delaware River. The seating was elevated which enhanced the view. We ordered NY Strip steaks with shrimp. The steaks were on the thin side and had quite a bit of gristle & the shrimp were a bit over done. We chose the tuna tartare for an appetizer that was pretty tasty. Overall I would give a good (3) out 5.
Great food would go back and try everything on the menu
Nice place but portions are small and quite expensive. One crabcake with potatoes and corn $27. My wife had a turkey BLT $17 good but bacon was under done and sandwich dry indicating the kitchen was in a hurry
Excellent food and service
Twin kids 21st birthday. I put on initial reservation but no acknowledgement at restaurant
We sat outdoors, under a large tent. The weather was perfect, the food quite tasty. My friend, traveling from Center City Philadelphia, took a wrong turn on the highway (signage had changed in the 18 months since we'd seen each other), and was 45 minutes late. No problem from the Yardley Inn staff. Our server was excellent -- just enough attention, delightful manner, plus she knew who the Bobsey Twins were, and could exchange Astrology predictions with my friend. There was an extremely noisy large party at the other end of the tent, and I found myself happy that we weren't inside, where their screeching would have been even more disturbing. The Yardley Inn never disappoints.
Great food and great service.would definitely come back here again!
