Yardley Inn Restaurant and Bar
Nestled along the Delaware River in bucolic Bucks County, the Yardley Inn is a great place to enjoy waterside dining near Philadelphia.
Food, drinks, and service excellent as aways. Yardley Inn has been a favorite place for years.
Love the deviled eggs!
Great meal and great service. I loved the beer selection.
Overall a good meal, service and attention was good. The outside patio seating area was a nice spot over the crowded and loud main dining room. The noise of traffic on roads adjacent to patio was a bit distracting at times but was tolerable.
2 of my guests had the Duck dish which was a bit disappointing due to lack of seasoning and crispness. Filet Mignon was very good, as was one of the large salads another friend had. Worth another visit to explore other dishes in the future.
The crab soup is my absolute favorite every time I dine at The Yardley Inn. Each time I say to myself I'm not getting the soup this time I end up ordering it and am thankful that I did. Served pipping hot and just the right amount of kick. And, it chock full of crab. Ordered the iceberg lettuce with grilled shrimp. I thought for the amount of (small) shrimp (4) the cost was overpriced. Andy made the best ever vanilla martini and our waiter was darling. The vibe here is very uplifting and the view of the river spectacular.
The Yardley Inn is absolutely wonderful.
The staff were wonderful, however the food was certainly not worth $30 for an entree. My seafood was over cooked and my guest was not thrilled with his steak. The reviews were great overall but I was less than pleased.
We love the Yardley Inn! It was my Mother’s first time there and she really enjoyed it as did I. The food was perfectly prepared and priced right! We will go there again soon!
My husband and I eat dinner at the Yardley Inn for a special evening out, where we can enjoy a delicious dinner in a relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff. We tried other upscale restaurants, but find The Yardley Inn to meet our needs better for our special date night out together.
We have dined at the restaurant three times in the past two months, including our most recent visit with another couple. Both the food and service have been consistently good. Our friends, who had not been there before, also remarked that the meal was excellent and that they would come back again. The three course special meal did not feel like it was a compromise (no skimping on the portion size). We will be back again.
Great Dinner . Everything was consistently good. This is why the Yardley Inn is one of our favorite places
We came for the Labor Day lobster special and it was very good. The Yardley Inn is consistently good, not great. Always try to get the tables looking out on River Road and the Delaware.
Nice place. Overlooking river. Good food. Good service.
To get a waiter assigned to our table appeared to be a "weak point" of the operation.
The food, service and venue were very good. The margarita was terrible and cost 11!! And it was more ice than drink. Also I was not able to use my birthday coupon on the combo lunch. So I ended up spending less money on what I ordered and could use my coupon. Didn’t make sense.
We did the three-course restaurant week menu: the appetizers of watermelon salad and cucumber and dill gazpacho were very good, but the monk fish and lemon chicken as main courses were both overcooked, particularly the chicken (to the point of uneatable). When we pointed that out, the waiter's response was: "That's how it usually comes out." To his credit, he did notify the manager who did discount the check in compensation.
The service was also lacking generally. We sat outside, which was a small area with just a few tables (and next to the street with no view of any sort). Three different waiters served the area, plus runners, yet we still had to get up to find forks when the main course was served and wait for water and wine order.
I would not recommend this place.
Excellent meal at the Yardley Inn. Fined on the patio and it was delicious.
Great service! Great restaurant à
Did not know it was restaurant week. So very loud. Love yardley inn. I’ve been going for many many years. Very happy every time.
Went for lunch during Yardley restaurant week. Excellent 3 course meal. Will be back there soon.
Never disappoints! It was Restaurant Week and very busy, all tables full. Team works very well together to ensure a wonderful experience! This is our “Go To” for any special occasion too!
Fine anniversary dinner, and we'll come back, after not having been here in a few years.
Lovely atmosphere to meet family and friends. Service was excellent and the food delicious.
We went during restaurant week, so I will give them a little leeway for that.
1 Wine by the glass selection was pretty mediocre, but it isn't a wine bar so okay.
2 The one roll that was in the breadbasket was stale.
3. The Wedge Salad was a runny dressing over lettuce with a few bacon bits. The lettuce was a good portion though.
4. The highlight was the main course. We both enjoyed our main course so that was good.
5. It was a busy night, but our server was friendly and polite and pretty attentive.
First time at the restaurant. We tried the tiers. Pork belly lettuce wrap was decidedly the favorite, so we decided to order another round! The calamari was okay. And the deviled eggs were tasty, but a bit hard to eat without getting a little messy. The service was good, but the location of our seating was awkward—near the entrance to the dining room, almost blocking...lots of “excuse me’s” by passing staff, while there were actually several other empty two-seaters within view. Other than that, it was a lovely first experience (because yes, I do hope to come back). Yay!
Restaurant week specials $29.95 for three-courses. Fresh local ingredients and warm homemade cookies for dessert.
Our food and server were excellent. The actual service, length of time to get items was very long.
Our reservations were for 6:15, which is when we got there. We did not leave till just after 9:00. The 4 of us all had the prix fixed meals for Restaurant Week along with 2 bottles of wine.
The restaurant was very busy and noisy. Our service was just okay. Waited way too long for bread never refilled our water glasses and the wait for the food to arrive was way too long. My husband and youngest daughter enjoyed their entree but my oldest daughter and myself did not. We each had the Margarita Salad with chicken. The walnuts were not candied, melon was tasteless, no flavor to the dressing and the chicken was gummy without any flavor. Very disappointed as we had eaten lunch at the Inn the week before and had a good experience. Will not be coming back for dinner.
This was not their best night. Food was extremely late in arriving, cold and over cooked. I have had better experiences here.
received very nicely. excellent service from waiter. nice variety on menu enjoyed scallops and pork shank. very enjoyable crab soup and shrimp
Excellent lunch with a business associate. Service was excellent. Menu additions were great. I had the risotto and my associate had the soft shell crab. I recommend this restaurant for all types of dining - friends, business, etc.
My wife had the crab cake entree and she enjoyed it so much that she craves about the sides up to a few days after having them.
Friendly people at front desk
Honored request to sit at window
Like making reservation on line
Friendly server but seemed to busy to attend to us. Wife would have liked second drink but server never asked and was so absent we couldn’t ask
Cheeseburger was very good, but wife’s crab cake was not cold but very barely warm
Observing menu and prices (in line), I was expecting (perhaps wrongly) tablecloth/high end Restraunt. Was surprised and disappointed it was not
This place exceeded my expectations! A friend and I went for lunch. Our waitress Daria was very knowledgable and made excellent recommendations. He had the quiche with salad greens and fresh fruit, and I had the burger with brie cheese and fries — my burger was prepared to perfection with just a hint of pink! I will definitely be going back!
Lovely evening. Enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Will definitely frequent the Yardley Inn
Excellent service and consistently good fare.
It’s a regular outing for us.
The atmosphere was very nice. The apps were delicious, we ordered a 3 cheese place, and the devils on horseback. My girlfriend ordered the monk fish and very much enjoyed it. I ordered the strip steak on special, and for a $39, it honestly was not that special. I think I could have gotten more apps and would have enjoyed my meal a lot more. I noted there wasn't any other steak options on the menu before I ordered. So I'm guessing this just isn't a place to get a steak. I think I would go back.
Not as good as our 1st visit & I attribute it to our server. He was abrasive & passive aggressive although he thought he was funny I guess. He was bossy with our cheese plate selection TELLING us what he was going to give us instead of letting us choose, even though we were asking for descriptions. We realized afterwards it was because he didn't know the cheeses & how to describe them. If he doesn't want to learn the types of cheese then he should realize they were all very detailed on the dessert menu which we found out later & he could've given that to us! Disappointing because I would've ordered 2 different cheeses than what we had. Note: a swiss is NOT the same OR similar to a cheddar! I asked for a change of a side & he decided to change my whole dish except my protein. The last straw was his many "drive bys". He couldn't take a second to stop, he'd drop things off as he kept walking. The food tasted good but the whole experience was disappointing compared to our great experience last time (different server).
Always very good
Service always excellent
Very good. Service a little spotty at first. Food was good although calamari slightly chewy, quiche a bit overdone, and fruit not quite ripe. Lunch is a pretty good deal compared to dinner (much more expensive). Annoyed I made a reservation and it wasn't checked off by hostess though.
