   Dined at Yardbird while in Chicago for a work conference. The food and ambience were top tier. I had the shrimp and grits- very flavorful and beautifully presented. My friend had the blackened salmon and apple cobbler for dessert which she enjoyed. Service was a bit slow. We waited more than 5 minutes before our waiter greeted us. My cocktail took over 20 minutes. This very well could have been an anomaly, but it was my experience nevertheless. Overall, it was a lovely dinner, and I would recommend.

   Really loved the service and the ambience of the restaurant. The food was amazing also and we had a great time

   I know this place gets a lot of mixed reviews, but personally we liked it a lot! The biscuits were so yummy and the fried chicken portion was MASSIVE!

   YardBird’s menu options, particularly the brunch, could use improvement. A party of five people and only one alcoholic drink was nearly $400. This was mainly breakfast food options with 2 people choosing lunch options. The avocado toast is piled high with too many ingredients and really resembles an open face sandwich. The grits are so dense, slightly dry that it wasn’t as enjoyable. The biscuits were good but the eggs are powdered which, considering the cost is disappointing. So had the Jim Beam BlackBerry Bourbon that was really sweet with little alcohol. Our server was slow although the 2nd level wasn’t crowded yet. Most of our guests complained the food wasn’t warm either. Breakfast food really should be hot.

   The food is very good and the ambiance is great too. The price of the food is high for what you get.

   We had an altercation with a rude customer who decided to berate my wife parenting ability as my autistic son played with silverware. As I removed my son to the car as he was beginning to hit his mental time at the restaurant and cry which was the first time he displayed any outward verbal display , the rude guest berated my wife. My wife was then soothed and reassured by the General Manager Izzy(Issy). I hope to spell correctly. She assured her that we did nothing wrong and made sure she was comfortable and that we could come back and enjoy our time in a more private setting. This was some of the best service and food I've experienced before, and I highly recommend this place.

    The vibe is amazing, the service is as well. My issue was the quality of the food, and lack of attention to our request to potentially sit in an area away from the entrance in the event our child needed to be fed. I do believe this establishment could be a bit pricey while the food isn’t the greatest. If our bill was $160 instead of $228 I probably wouldn’t be upset. But, the food was kind of a let down.
