   The service was excellent, and the restaurant is gorgeous. However, the food was absolutely subpar and overpriced. Unsure if we caught them on a bad day; however, having grown up in the South, I could not recommend them as a restaurant for Southern food.

   This place has some cool vibes but the food is overrated. They brought us our meal with things missing and never mentioned that they were out of stock when we ordered it. I went along with it and ordered drinks which were good. Nice place to take an IG pick but I’m not sold on the food.

   The server, Jamie G, was not as attentive as I would have expected. I have dined at Yardbird perviously and have always had great service. This time the service was very lackluster. We had a few hiccups including my daughter having a hair in her water and her not liking her meal. Things that Jamie G was not aware of due to her inattention. We, as a family solved our own issues and got through the meal. I get it that sometimes a server has an off day. Now the real kicker was Jamie decided to add gratuity to our bill. I have never know Yardbird to add gratuity for a party of 4, but I have 2 possible theories about this: 1. Jamie knew she gave poor service and was afraid she would not get a good tip. 2. Jamie has an issue with people of color therefore assuming we would not too well and we did not deserve the same level of service the other tables around us received. Either way it was her loss as we always tip a minimum of 25%, so she ensured she go less money. I hope that Yardbird provides the proper coaching to Jamie so that she provides great service to all customers.

   Love the food! Love the Ambiance! Seasoning on the Chicken was delicious as well as the honey hot sauce. I also enjoyed the Lobster Mac. And the drinks were awesome! Seating was a little crowded. But overall Yardbird is definitely on my top 10 restaurants in Chicago.

   It’s was just ok to be honest… the drinks were blah and 18 dollars and the food was blah and 35 plus dollars so I mean honestly nothing to write home about. The ambiance is pretty very cute and aesthetically pleasing they have 2 floors and a bourbon room but very clean and the waitress was nice with a automatic 20 percent gratuity

    Been to a Yardbird in Miami and Vegas at least a dozen times. The food was amazingly bland here despite the prices being a bit higher. Drinks are still tasty

    Chicken And waddles is outstanding! Best I’ve ever had with juicy chicken underneath uber crispy e exterior. Worth it even at $40. Unfortunately the Deviled eggs, while architecturally beautiful, were unremarkable in taste, with slightly dry yolks. The Tomatoes in the Fried Green Tomatoes BLT Were so hard they were difficult to cut through and inedible. The neighboring table sent theirs back, twice.

    This was my first time at the Chicago location while I’d been in Miami and Cali before. It was nice this experience seemed more upscale than the first time I went years ago. The drinks are great all with a southern twist and the fried chicken is GREAT! It is a lot of food so think of sharing a plate if you’re not a big eater.

    I found the food to be overpriced for what it was, and we were issued automatic gratuity for a table of 2, which seemed unnecessary. I would not go back to YardBird in the future unfortunately.

    The worst experience I have at a restaurant! I made a reservation here with the intent to celebrate a birthday, but the service was terrible. It took 30 minutes for my party of 3 to receive water. Afterwards we waited an hour for our entrees. Once our food arrived to the table, all of the dishes were cold! We immediately told the managers, in which they complained that we must want our food “scorching hot”. We felt like this was a rude comment to make. After receiving our food for a second time, our food was still lukewarm as if it had been sitting under a heat light. Everyone in my party only took 2 bites of their food. The manager only wanted to refund us for 1 item, even though we were dissatisfied with everything and did not eat anything. The worst management and service.

    Went to Yardbird for the first time today for my friend’s birthday. She got the Chicken and Waffles and I got the Biscuit & Gravy and a side of Grits. Our server Ty described the food in great detail and told us about all the food we saw others eating. Ty also helped me pick out my drink because I was torn about what to choose! The food and drinks were so flavorful! Definitely a place to choose. I will be back soon!

    Chicken and waffles were bland, needed some kind of sauce, looked like other customers had a maple syrup or something but mine was missing and when I asked, the server brought me hot sauce that wasn’t very good.

    Food was good, chicken was amazing and the presentation was phenomenal. It’s not great that you have to take an elevator upstairs to the restrooms. They ran out of an item on the menu so offered us a dessert for free but to take home only. We were sitting next to a table of women with their small children who you could tell had no home training. They threw pieces of chicken on the floor and were very loud. Great place but not sure I would return.

    My family and I had a great time at the Yardbird. We've been to the location in Las Vegas so it wasn't our first time. We just wish that the greens would come back on the menu and that the wait time wasn't so long.

    Maybe they were overwhelmed for Mother’s Day. I’ll start with the things I liked. The place is nice. It has a mid century modern look and feel. The hosts and wait staff are really nice and accommodating. The St. Louis Ribs, Mac N Cheese, and Asparagus were the best things we ordered. I didn’t like the Shrimp N. Grits or Fried Chicken. The margaritas and Passion Fruit tequila drinks weren’t good. The fried green tomato BLT has so much promise but so little seasoning. Same for the deviled eggs. The food lacks flavor. Chicago is known for great restaurants and good food. This place is not one of them.

    The bus staff seemed very eager to clear the table. They interrupted the meal a few times to clear the table while we were still trying to enjoy the food. Not sure if there was a time limit on the table or what but the waitress also seemed a bit hurried. Made it a bit uncomfortable - but the food wasn’t too bad

    I wish I could give the food 4.5 stars. It was pretty good. Everything was seasoned well. The chicken was tasty and tender with seasoning that was subtle. The deviled eggs were tasty and just as our server described (dill forward). The yolks had a texture of whipped butter. They are delicate in flavor as well and unique. The lobster mac and cheese is velvety with several pieces of lobster. However, this should be thoroughly mixed in with the Mac and cheese as this particular version was meant to be eaten with the lobster pieces. Without the lobster, it is a little too tangy. The desserts are large. You don't need to order two. We had three, it's enough for six people or more. The key lime pie is delicious.

    OMG…the food was de-freaking-licious. i had the short rib. it came with mashed potatoes, and a shredded carrot dressing on top! girl…the meat literally melted in my mouth. i did NOT think that was possible, but it sure happened. the service was great! we weren’t rushed, but we’re checked on frequently. water refills were adequate. i can’t remember what drink i had, but that was good too. food 11/10 service 10/10 i think it’s perfect for a first date! i definitely will be back…to try something different. **don’t look at any other reviews…this is your sign to go, please**
